Patent number: 9187343Abstract: Means for reducing an arsenic ion concentration in the solution to the degree of ultra trace amount are provided. Ammonium molybdate is supported by a nanostructure material by mixing the nanostructure material, which is obtained after the nanostructure material such as an alumina reacts with a surfactant, in the solution containing the ammonium molybdate. The nanostructure material supporting an arsenic ion adsorption compound such as ammonium molybdate can selectively adsorb and remove trace of arsenic ion in the solution by a room temperature treatment without a water conditioning such as pH control. In our removal system of arsenic, extra posttreatments are not needed because special pretreatments are not carried out, and special heating equipments are not used. Accordingly, our removal system of arsenic can be constructed at low cost. Furthermore, it can supply an arsenic-free solution by be constructed at multi stages.Type: GrantFiled: January 12, 2012Date of Patent: November 17, 2015Assignee: National Institute for Materials ScienceInventors: Sherif El-Safty, Ahmed Shahat Ahmed, Kohmei Halada, Mohamed Shenashen, Ahmed Abouelmagd, Hitoshi Yamaguchi

Patent number: 9189857Abstract: Disclosed herein are an apparatus and method for reconstructing a three-dimensional (3D) face based on multiple cameras. The apparatus includes a multi-image analysis unit, a texture image separation unit, a reconstruction image automatic synchronization unit, a 3D appearance reconstruction unit, and a texture processing unit. The multi-image analysis unit determines the resolution information of images received from a plurality of cameras, and determines whether the images have been synchronized with each other. The texture image separation unit separates a texture processing image by comparing the resolutions of the received images. The reconstruction image automatic synchronization unit synchronizes images that are determined to be asynchronous images by the multi-image analysis unit. The 3D appearance reconstruction unit computes the 3D coordinate values of the synchronized images, and reconstructs a 3D appearance image.Type: GrantFiled: May 6, 2013Date of Patent: November 17, 2015Assignee: ELECTRONICS AND TELECOMMUNICATIONS RESEARCH INSTITUTEInventors: Seung-Uk Yoon, Kap-Kee Kim, Bon-Woo Hwang, Ji-Hyung Lee, Bon-Ki Koo

Publication number: 20150321118Abstract: A feed liquid flows into a second-stage humidifier chamber to form a second-stage humidifier bath. A first remnant of the feed liquid from the second-stage humidifier chamber then flows into a first-stage humidifier chamber to form a first-stage humidifier bath having a temperature lower than that of the second-stage bath. A second remnant of the feed liquid is then removed from the first-stage humidifier. Meanwhile, a carrier gas is injected into and bubbled through the first-stage humidifier bath, collecting a vaporizable component in vapor form from the first remnant of the feed liquid to partially humidify the carrier gas. The partially humidified carrier gas is then bubbled through the second-stage humidifier bath, where the carrier gas collects more of the vaporizable component in vapor form from the feed liquid to further humidify the carrier gas before the humidified carrier gas is removed from the second-stage humidifier chamber.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 22, 2015Publication date: November 12, 2015Applicants: KING FAHD UNIVERSITY OF PETROLEUM & MINERALS, MASSACHUSETTS INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGYInventors: Prakash Narayan Govindan, Mostafa H. Publication number: 20150321167Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for preparing a solid amine gas adsorption material. The method synthesizes a porous solid amine gas adsorption material that loads organic amine evenly in one step. In the method, a certain amount of acidic gas is introduced while organic amine molecules are introduced into a silicate solution as template agents, which not only makes sizes of SiO2 pore channels homogeneous, but also makes organic amine molecules highly evenly distributed on a surface of SiO2. In addition, the acidic gas protects —NH2 groups of organic amine, and avoids —NH2 adhesion inactivation due to hydrogen bonding during the synthesis process of the material. The present invention also relates to a method for preparing a solid amine gas adsorption material after obtaining a silicate solution from fly ash. The preparation methods of the present invention are simple in process and do not require special devices.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 27, 2012Publication date: November 12, 2015Applicants: NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF CLEAN-AND-LOW-CARBON ENERGY, SHENHUA GROUP CORPORATION LIMITEDInventors: Baodong Wang, Zhonghua Zhang, Qi Sun
