Abstract: [Problem] To provide a therapeutic method specialized for an inflammatory disease such as intractable vasculitis and an infectious disease, which is different from the previous therapeutic methods, in which a target molecule was not determined, by determining the target molecule useful for treating these diseases. [Solution] According to one aspect of the present invention, a prophylactic and/or therapeutic agent for an infectious disease or an inflammatory disease which contains an antibody recognizing apolipoprotein A2 (APOA2) as an active ingredient is provided.

Abstract: An actuator with a stack of thin layers operates by electrowetting droplets between the layers. The actuator includes a first layer structure and a second layer structure positioned adjacent to the first layer structure. One or more liquid droplets are pinned to one of the layers and are positioned between the layers. The other layer includes electrodes. When the electrodes are energized, they electrostatically attract the liquid droplets to create relative motion between the two layers.
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a processing method for presenting an indicator hierarchy and classification of data in a spreadsheet. In this method, an indicator index structure S is constructed and a spreadsheet is used to present information based on user selections. The information includes an indicator and a hierarchy of the indicator, an indicator classification description and a hierarchy of the indicator classification description, an application scenario between an indicator and an indicator classification description, and other implicit attributes. This way, indicator descriptions can be neater and more readable. Data in a two-dimensional spreadsheet can be accurately presented and the spreadsheet is more comprehensible. In addition, indicators and indicator classification descriptions can be flexibly combined to present data in a more diversified, flexible, and personalized manner.

Abstract: A three-dimensional measurement device includes an image data receiving unit, a camera position selecting unit, a stereoscopic image selecting unit, and a camera position calculator. The image data receiving unit receives data of multiple photographic images. The photographic images are obtained by photographing a measurement target object and a random dot pattern from multiple surrounding viewpoints by use of a camera. The camera position selecting unit selects camera positions from among multiple positions of the camera. The stereoscopic image selecting unit selects the photographic images as stereoscopic images from among the photographic images that are taken from the camera positions selected by the camera position selecting unit. The camera position calculator calculates the camera position from which the stereoscopic images are taken. The selection of the camera positions is performed multiple times in such a manner that at least one different camera position is selected each time.

Abstract: Systems and method for sorting droplets includes a microfluidic chip or substrate having a droplet sorting channel coupled at an upstream location to a droplet inlet channel, the droplet sorting channel coupled at a downstream location to a waste channel and a collection channel. The device includes an optical interrogation device configured to illuminate the droplets passing through the sorting channel with excitation light from an excitation light source and capturing emitted fluorescent light and generating an output signal correlated to the fluorescence of the droplets. An actuator (electrode) is disposed in the microfluidic chip or substrate and coupled to a signal driver (e.g., a high voltage amplifier). The device or system uses a programmable controller configured to receive the output signals from the optical interrogation device and trigger the signal driver to actuate the actuator to direct the droplets into the collection channel.

Abstract: A method for decoding a 360-degree image includes: receiving a bitstream obtained by encoding a 360-degree image; generating a prediction image by making reference to syntax information obtained from the received bitstream; combining the generated prediction image with a residual image obtained by dequantizing and inverse-transforming the bitstream, so as to obtain a decoded image; and reconstructing the decoded image into a 360-degree image according to a projection format. Here, generating the prediction image includes: checking, from the syntax information, prediction mode accuracy for a current block to be decoded; determining whether the checked prediction mode accuracy corresponds to most probable mode (MPM) information obtained from the syntax information; and when the checked prediction mode accuracy does not correspond to the MPM information, reconfiguring the MPM information according to the prediction mode accuracy for the current block.
Abstract: A method and apparatus for generating a four-level pulse amplitude modulation (PAM-4) optical signal are disclosed.
