Abstract: A capacitive sensing assembly comprises a nonconductive interface material, a conductive plastic, an electrode, and a controller. The capacitive sensing assembly is configured to detect a proximity of skin to the nonconductive interface material. The nonconductive interface material comprises a first surface and a second surface that are opposite one another. The first surface receives contact with the skin. The conductive plastic is coupled to the second surface of the interface material. The electrode is electrically coupled to the conductive plastic and configured to provide an electrical signal. The electrical signal corresponds to a surface capacitance of the nonconductive interface material that is based in part on the conductive plastic, the nonconductive interface material, and the proximity of the skin to the interface material. The controller determines the proximity of the skin based on the electrical signal that corresponds to the surface capacitance.

Abstract: Methods for improving read time performance and energy consumption when reading multiple pages within a memory block by dynamically skipping or accelerating unselected word line discharge cycles are described. In some cases, a controller or one or more control circuits in communication with word lines and bit lines associated with a memory block may detect that a read command or instruction for reading a second page within the memory block has arrived prior to the word line discharge phase associated with reading a first page within the memory block, and in response, the controller may skip the discharge cycle for unselected word lines within the memory block prior to reading the second page and initiate the next page read for the second page after a partial discharge period of time.

Abstract: A three-dimensional ferroelectric memory device includes an alternating stack of insulating layers and electrically conductive layers located over a substrate, where each of the electrically conductive layers contains a transition metal element-containing conductive liner and a conductive fill material portion, a vertical semiconductor channel extending vertically through the alternating stack, a vertical stack of tubular transition metal element-containing conductive spacers laterally surrounding the vertical semiconductor channel and located at levels of the electrically conductive layers, and a ferroelectric material layer located between the vertical stack of tubular transition metal element-containing conductive spacers and the transition metal element-containing conductive liner.
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for locating a cause of the premature discharge of a battery in a vehicle. To simplify locating a cause of the premature discharge of a battery in a vehicle, it is proposed to monitor the current drawn from the battery via an electrical system of the vehicle in the ignition-off-state. Data collected as part of the monitoring can then be examined either alone or in conjunction with additional, in particular, vehicle-specific and/or global data, for information relevant to isolating and/or determining the cause.

Abstract: A system and method for generating a computer-based united cellular lattice structure includes dividing a part volume into a number of adjacent subvolumes each having a side combination corresponding to a number and orientation of adjoining sides and non-adjoining sides. A modified lattice cell may be generated from a base lattice cell for each side combination of the subvolumes such that each modified lattice cell has face surfaces on faces thereof corresponding to non-adjoining sides and does not have face surfaces on faces thereof corresponding to adjoining sides. Copies of the modified lattice cells may then be generated and inserted into corresponding subvolumes such that the faces of the modified lattice cell copies having face surfaces are positioned along non-adjoining sides of the subvolumes and faces of the modified lattice cell copies not having face surfaces are positioned along adjoining sides of the subvolumes.
