Abstract: A device for determining or checking the condition, state, or other parameters of a pressure fluid contained in a hydraulic system substantially comprises a body which may be screwed into the wall of a chamber or of a line of the hydraulic system, which at its front face having contact with the pressure fluid has a measuring or testing device, and which at its part accessible from the outside has an electric contact which is in communication with the measuring and testing device via a line passed through a central bore.
Abstract: In an adjustable vane-type pump, there is provided an idle stroke adjusting device for variation of the pre-compression. The device comprises a laterally arranged adjustable supporting element having a substantially planar supporting surface bearing against the curved supporting surface area of the cam ring. The plane of the supporting surface of the supporting element is inclined relative to the plane which is defined by the joint axis of the delivery-limiting device and the pressure-control device as well as by the rotor axis. The curved supporting surface area of the cam ring is formed by the cylindrical peripheral surface of the cam ring. By using this extremely straightforward idle stroke adjusting device, wherein the idle stroke adjustment changes in response to the output pressure and the flow rate, respectively, a more favorable noise emission over the entire operating range of the pump is accomplished.
Abstract: An arrangement for supplying pressurized fluid into a user circuit, particularly a master cylinder of a clutch, includes a cylinder housing defining a bore. A cylinder sleeve is slidably accommodated in the bore and bounds an external feeding compartment with the housing, as well as an internal pressure chamber. A piston is received in the pressure chamber for displacement in the axial direction of the arrangement in response to the application of an external force, especially that of a clutch pedal, thereto, to exert pressure on the fluid present in the pressure chamber. The sleeve has a connecting port at its end remote from the point of application of the external force, and the housing has an auxiliary port communicating with an auxiliary reservoir and a supply port which communicates with the user circuit.
Abstract: A hydraulic brake system with slip control for automotive vehicles, with a pedal-operable braking pressure generator (1, 2) and with wheel brakes (16, 17, 22, 23) connected to the braking pressure generator, in which brake system between the braking pressure generator (1, 2) and wheel brakes (16, 17, 22, 23) valve means (14, 15, 18, 19, 24, 26) are arranged which are controllable by slip control electronics and by means of which the connections to the wheel brakes (16, 17, 22, 23) may be locked and connections may be established between the wheel brakes (16, 17, 22, 23) and a storage reservoir (21). For control of the acceleration slip by means of the slip control electronics in the brake system wheel brakes (22, 23) associated with the driven wheels communicate with an auxiliary pressure source (6) by way of a normally locking connecting valve (25) controllable by the slip control electronics.
Abstract: A pressure control device to be inserted into a connection between a front wheel brake and a rear wheel brake which determines the rear brake hydraulic pressure in dependence upon front brake hydraulic pressure. The pressure control device provides a plurality of valve pistons hydraulically connected in parallel and displaceable by front axle hydraulic pressure in opposition to a control force. A predetermined change-over hydraulic pressure develops a braking pressure in the rear brake which is less than the front brake pressure. The valve pistons are provided by stepped pistons guided within stepped bores, each of which pistons provides smaller and larger effective pressure surfaces.

Abstract: An instrument for measuring simultaneously the flow rate and density of a moving fluid includes means for measuring the frequency and amplitude of vortices shed by interaction of the fluid with a bluff body. Typically the sensing means includes an optical fibre movable in response to pressure changes in the fluid. Computation of the mass flow rate of the fluid can be effected. In one embodiment a light signal from a transmitter (41) is modulated via a sensor (42) and is then fed via a detector (45) and A to D converter (46) to a microprocessor (47) where demodulation and computation of mass flow rate is effected. The microprocessor also provides neative feedback to maintain the output level of the transmitter substantially constant.
Abstract: A circuit for decoding broadcast traffic area signals according to the European standards utilizes digital circuitry to check for four criteria.
Abstract: To increase the gain and, consequently, to increase the voltage amplitude appearing at the crystal of a crystal oscillator a conventional circuit including a first differential amplifier in the amplifier section and two further differential amplifiers in the phase shifting section is modified to include a fourth differential amplifier in the amplifier section. The fourth amplifier carries an additional current to flow in the two differential amplifiers causing an additional current to flow and across the operating resistance of the two differential amplifiers an additional voltage drop being fed to the crystal via an emitter follower.
Abstract: In a radial piston machine, there is provided an outer stator and an inner rotor rotatable on a control pintle provided with supply and discharge channels. The rotor contains at least one radial bore in which is slidable a spherical piston comprising an outer ball and an inner cylindrical sleeve. The radially inward end of the sleeve, which end is adapted to be acted upon by the outlet pressure of the machine, includes a sealing lip which, during operation, in particular at higher pressures, expands circumferentially and, under certain circumstances, moves in sealing abutment with the inner wall of the radial bore.
Abstract: In the braking system of a motor vehicle, a hydraulically or electromagnetically actuatable valve is inserted into the return line to control and monitor hydraulic brake slip control devices supplied with energy from an external source. This valve opens or closes the return passage of hydraulic fluid from pressure reducing valves of static brake circuits in dependence upon the dynamic pressure developing in the booster chamber of brake valve network or in the prechamber of the master cylinder upon application of the brake or upon start of the brake slip control. Pressure reduction in the static brake circuits for preventing a wheel lock-up will thereby be avoided, if in the event of a control action no dynamic pressure develops in the booster chamber or in the prechamber on account of a defect.
Abstract: In a fist-type caliper disc brake, there is provided at least one angular retaining spring which is secured to the brake support member. One of its legs is fastened to a radial surface (17) of the brake support member, while its other leg (11b) urges the fist-type caliper radially against a supporting surface on the brake support member.
Abstract: This integrated circuit contains the horizontal sweep generator (HO), the amplitude filter (AS), the sync-signal separating circuit (SA) and the frequency/phase comparator (FP). For the purpose of suppressing noise pulses which are caused via the operating voltage during the upper and the lower inversion point of the horizontal sweep generator (HO) which contains a single capacitor (C) and a first threshold stage circuit (SS1) with two fixed thresholds, there are provided a second and a third threshold stage circuit (SS2, SS3), to the inputs of which the sawtooth signal is applied, and with the thresholds thereof, approximately 2 .mu.s prior to reaching the upper or the lower peak value of the sawtooth signal, are being passed through thereby.
Abstract: A method of producing an integrated insulated-gate field-effect transistor with an increased breakdown voltage provides in that at least one of the two zones, i.e. the source zone and/or the drain zone is surrounded by a relatively high-ohmic partial zone. This partial zone or the partial zones are first produced by way of ion implantation with the aid of a first implantation mask. After removal of this mask, the entire area of the field-effect transistor is covered with an oxidation masking layer comprising several selectively etchable partial layers, of which the lower partial layer is finally exposed and serves as the gate insulating layer. With the aid of the photoresist mask serving as an etching mask, openings are etched through the oxidation masking layer. The photoresist mask, together with the portions of the oxidation masking layer remaining therebelow, is used as an ion implantation mask for manufacturing both the source zone and the drain zone.

Abstract: An end cap for a windshield wiper motor housing includes a cylindrical shell and an end cap, the end cap being retained on the shell without fasteners. This is achieved by placing the end cap within the shell in a prestressed condition and forming supporting elements on one side of the end cap and holding elements on the other side of the end cap. The supporting and holding elements are axially spaced from each other by an amount less than the thickness of the material of the rim of the end cap so that the rim of the end cap in the finished configuration has a corrugated contom. The forces exerted on the holding and supporting elements by the elasticity of the end cap material effectively prevent the end cap from turning relative to the shell and makes the shell more shock resistant.
