Abstract: A free work pressing device for a sewing machine includes a holding portion for mounting the free work pressing device to the presser bar of sewing machine, a slide shaft supported by the holding portion and being slidingly movable in the axial direction, a work pressing foot secured to the lower end of the slide shaft, an elastic member for normally pressing the slide shaft axially in the downward direction relative to the holding portion, an adjust mechanism for adjusting the vertical position of the work pressing foot relative to the work which is to be stitched. The work pressing foot is smoothly movable as yielding up and down in dependence upon a variation in the thickness of the work against and under control of the elastic member.
Abstract: Sewing machine provided with an indication device including a display that is so large that the lower leftward portion protrudes into the stitch working area of the machine. The display may be moved up and down by of a switch and may be moved up until the lower end side of the display aligns with the lower end side of the machine arm and may be stopped at an upper optional position. At the lowest position, the upper end side of display has the upper side located in alignment with the top side of machine body and has the front side plane planar with the front side of the arm and has the lateral end side planar with the lateral end side of the machine body. The display has no part protruding from the machine body at the lowest position, and is thus placed compactly in the machine frame of machine body.
Abstract: Embroidery sewing machine having a Y-direction drive mechanism including an elongated arm which is normally accommodated in a cutout portion formed at a bed of the machine body and forms a part of that body. The upper side of the arm is continuous with the upper side of the bed in a same plane. The arm has a frame support to which an embroidery frame is removably attached, the frame holding a work to be embroidered. The arm is arranged as turnable to extend from the rear side of the bed into the depth direction (Y-direction) of the machine, where the arm is operative for embroidery stitching. The arm is connected to an X-direction drive mechanism arranged in the machine body and may be moved in the width direction (X-direction) of the machine body, by the X-direction drive mechanism while the embroidery frame is moved in the Y-direction along the arm.
Abstract: Disclosed is a robot which is compact in structure and may be movable in a large working range, wherein move members 1, 1 may be moved by drive devices 4, 4 respectively along a straight line and in parallel with each other, the drive devices 4, 4 including motors 40, 40 respectively which are individually controlled by a control device 9, so that the move members 1, 1 may be moved at a different speed and may be stopped at different relative positions. The move members 1, 1 are connected to a work holder 3 by means of arms 2, 2, the arms having one end pivotally connected to the move members 1, 1 at the pivots 10, 10 thereof respectively, the arms 2, 2 having the opposite end pivotally connected to the work holder 3 at the pivots 30, 30 thereof respectively. The work holder 3 may hold an optional jig and may be moved in a horizontal plane and in a vertical plane enabling the jig to work in the working plane.
Abstract: Disclosed is a work positioning device for a computer sewing machine which is compact in structure and excellent in operation. The device is substantially composed of an auxiliary table B and a positioning arm 10 having one end removably and turnably connected to the auxiliary table B. The positioning arm 10 has the opposite end provided with a positioning part 11 and may be turned between an upper position where the positioning part 11 is spaced from the upper surface of the auxiliary table B and a lower position where the positioning part 11 is in contact with the upper surface of the table B, the positioning part 11 having a reference mark provided thereat for showing a initialized position for starting the pattern stitching operation when the embroidery frame 7 is connected to the carriage 6.
Abstract: Disclosed is a free work pressing device for sewing machine which is simple in structure and smooth in operation. As to the variation in the thickness of the work (18), the work pressing foot (C) is smoothly movable as yielding up and down in dependence upon the variation in the thickness of the work against and under the control of the elastic member (14). The free work pressing device sewing machine comprises a holding portion (A) for mounting the free work pressing device to the presser bar (16) of sewing machine, a slide shaft (5) supported by the holding portion (A) and being slidingly movable in the axial direction, a work pressing foot (C) secured to the lower end of the slide shaft (5), an elastic member (14) for normally pressing the slide shaft (5) axially in the downward direction relative to the holding portion (A), an adjust mechanism (B) for adjusting the vertical position of the work pressing foot (C) relative to the work (18) which is to be stitched.
Abstract: An approach sensor 2 is provided to give a signal to a control device, that is, CPU 1, when the approach sensor 2 detects an operator approaching a region predetermined in consideration of a region where a ram 20 is driven. The CPU 1 is operated in response to the signal from the approach sensor 2 to turn a relay 6 off, thereby to intercept the power supply to a servo motor 8 from a power source, wherein the servo motor 8 is controlled to return the ram 20 to an operation point when an instruction is given from an operating device 4 to turn the relay 6 on to supply the power to the servo motor 8 from the power source.
Abstract: Disclosed is the invention in connection with an electric sewing machine comprising a machine body 1 and a controller 2, wherein the controller 2 is responsive to a first press to produce a signal for starting the machine body 1 and is responsive to further press to produce a signal for driving the machine body 1 at a stitching speed (drive speed) in accordance with the pressing amount. The machine body 1 is provided with a control device 11 which is connected to a changing device 30 which is operated to change the control content of the control device 11. The changing device 30 may be operated to switch the control device 11 between being operative and being inoperative. In case the control device 11 is switched to being inoperative, the control device 11 neglects the instruction signal from the controller 2, for example, produces a stop signal to a motor drive device 12 in response to a machine drive signal from the controller 2, thereby to maintain the machine motor as stopped.
