    Abstract: A molded article comprising of a molded resin product having a norbornane polymer skeleton coated with at least one layer of gas barrier resin having oxygen gas permeabilities of:i) under 10 cc/m.sup.2 .multidot.24 hrs.multidot.atm measured by the method of ASTM D1434, except atmospheric conditions in which a film of the layer of gas barrier resin is maintained before measurement at 20.degree. C. and 0% relative humidity, andii) under 50 cc/m.sup.2 .multidot.24 hrs.multidot.atm measured by the method of ASTM D1434, except with atmospheric conditions in which a film of the layer of gas barrier resin is maintained before measurement at 20.degree. C. and 100% relative humidity. The coated resin product provides novel materials for production of optical articles such as liquid crystal displays, optical fibers, various optical lenses such as lenses for lamps for automobiles, studios, camcorders, containers for medical drugs, medical appliances and food packaging materials and the like.

    Abstract: A photo-sensitive resin composition is provided which contains (1) a particulate polymer of a carboxy-group-containing-diene having a cross-linked structure; (2) a polymer having two or more photo-polymerizable unsaturated groups at its molecular chain terminals, and, optionally, a photo-polymerizable unsaturated group, carboxyl group, hydroxy group, amino group, or epoxy group in side chains, or (2') a non-diene-type polymer having a photo-polymerizable unsaturated group, carboxyl group, hydroxy group, amino group, or epoxy group in side chains, or a low molecular weight linear diene-type polymer; (3) a photo-polymerizable unsaturated monomer; (4) a polymer containing an amino group; and (5) a photo-polymerization initiator. The photo-sensitive resin composition has excellent water-developing capability and shows almost no swelling in water, causing minimal reduction in strength and only minimal dimensional changes during development.

Said copolymer rubber composition, when highly foamed, shows no reduction particularly in low tensile stress, and is excellent in shape-retention during cross-linking and foaming, and in compression set and processibility.

    Abstract: A process for producing a polybutadiene rubber having a cis-1,4 content of 94% or more, a ratio of weight average molecular weight to number average molecular weight of 2.5 to 3.5 as measured by a gel permeation chromatography and a Mooney viscosity (ML.sub.1+4, 100.degree. C.) of 20 to 100, which process comprises polymerizing 1,3-butadiene in an inert organic solvent with a catalyst comprising as the main components (a) a nickel compound; (b) a specific fluorine compound; (c) a trialkylaluminum; and (d) a halogenated aldehyde and/or a quinone compound. The use of the specific catalyst enables the production in a high yield of a polybutadiene rubber which maintains the abrasion resistance, high impact resilience and low heat buildup which are the characteristics of polybutadiene rubber and has a small die swell when extruded in the form of a blend with a natural rubber and is excellent in physical properties of vulcanizate.

Said composition provides a chemically amplified positive resist which can give a fine pattern with a good pattern shape, and said resist is freed from volume shrinkage, peeling failure and adhesive failure, is excellent in dry etching resistance and effectively reacts with various radiations to give a good pattern shape which is excellent in photolithographic process stability, said pattern shape having no thinned portion at the upper part.

    Abstract: An ethylene-.alpha.-olefin-non-conjugated diene copolymer rubber composition comprising a low molecular weight component copolymer composed of an ethylene-.alpha.-olefin-non-conjugated diene copolymer having a Mooney viscosity (ML.sub.1+4, 100.degree. C.) of 10 to 150, an .alpha.-olefin content of 30 to 60% by weight and an iodine value of 37 to 65, and a high molecular weight component copolymer composed of an ethylene-.alpha.-olefin-non-conjugated diene copolymer having a Mooney viscosity (ML.sub.1+4, 100.degree. C.) of 100 to 500, an .alpha.-olefin content of 15 to 50% by weight and an iodine value of 3 to 15, the ratio of the iodine value of the low molecular weight component copolymer to the iodine value of the high molecular weight component copolymer being at least 4/1. The above composition can inhibit a gel from being produced during processing and achieve a high degree of cross-linking and is excellent in compression set, shape-retention and sponge surface skin.
