Abstract: A hemodialysis apparatus includes means for measuring or calculating a blood volume or a blood volume change as a blood index level, a hemodialysis means, and a controlling means that controls hemodialysis conditions of the hemodialysis means according to the blood index level. The controlling means controls the hemodialysis means so that hemodialysis operation is carried out without performing water removal at the time of the initiation of the hemodialysis operation until the blood volume stabilizes. The hemodialysis operation is carried out by performing water removal after the blood volume is stabilized by the hemodialysis operation without performing water removal, and that is a constitution so that it is possible to calculate the primary blood volume (BV0) of each patient according to the following formula (I), from % ?BV of hemodialysis operation which has been carried out before the blood volume is stabilized, and the increased blood volume circulating outside the body.

  • Publication number: 20060184140
Abstract: A mixture injection port is capable of suppressing the continuous accumulation of medical fluid or blood therein and allowing efficient internal cleaning. A recirculation part is formed at a step between an inner cavity and a narrow tube part. Even if the fluid is accumulated in a clearance area produced in the inner cavity when a luer is inserted into a slit, the fluid can be securely replaced with the fluid newly flowing therein through a septum and the continuous accumulation of the fluid can be suppressed. A more efficient internal cleaning can be realized by installing a fluid accumulation prevention part such as an annular rib between the septum and the inside wall of the inner cavity and burying the clearance area.

  • Publication number: 20060094318
Abstract: A medical film that is excellent in biocompatibility and bioabsorbability and has an excellent strength in suturing and bonding is provided. A reinforcing material 12 made of a biodegradable polymer is placed in a gelatin solution so as to allow the solution to infiltrate in the reinforcing material 12 and then the gelatin is dried. This allows the gelatin that has infiltrated entirely in an internal part of the reinforcing material 12 to gel, thereby forming a gelatin film 11. Thus, a medical film 1 in which the reinforcing material 12 and the gelatin film 11 are integrated is obtained. The gelatin film 11 preferably is a cross-linked gelatin film.
