Abstract: A sewing machine includes a sewing machine motor, a control device and a wearable sensor. The sewing machine motor is a vertical movement driving source of a needle bar. The control device controls the sewing machine motor such that a sewing pitch is set to be a predetermined value. The wearable sensor is attached on a body of an operator of the sewing machine to detect a moving amount of an attached portion of the wearable sensor. The control device controls the sewing machine motor based on the moving amount of the attached portion detected by the wearable sensor such that the sewing pitch is set to be the predetermined value.

  • Publication number: 20170204549
Abstract: A sewing machine includes a vertical shuttle and a middle shuttle presser disposed at a front side of the vertical shuttle. The sewing machine includes a presser frame, an optical upper thread detector and a stitch skipping detection processor. The presser frame is movably supported between a pressing position at which the middle shuttle presser is pressed and a retract position separated from the pressing position. The optical upper thread detector is provided at the presser frame and is configured to detect passage of an upper thread using detecting light which passes through passage portions formed in the middle shuttle presser and which crosses a front side of a bobbin case of the vertical shuttle. The stitch skipping detection processor is configured to determine whether the passage of the upper thread is present based on an amount of received light of the detecting light from the upper thread detector.

  • Patent number: 8707548
Abstract: An electronic component mounting apparatus includes a head unit, component supply device, camera unit, and controller controlling the head unit and component supply device. The component supply device has a holder holding electronic component accommodating tapes, each having storage cells arranged in a row, the storage cells storing electronic components, and a feeder forwarding the electronic component accommodating tapes and moving the storage cells to a suction area where the electronic component can be suctioned by the nozzle. The camera unit is fixed to a head support, and captures an image of the suction area. The controller analyzes the image of the suction area obtained by the camera unit. When the controller determines that a portion of the electronic component accommodating tape in the suction area is a spliced portion based on a result of the analysis, the controller determines that the electronic component accommodating tape is changed.
