Abstract: A method and arrangement for temporarily withholding notifications with client data of at least one observed client to a watching client when the watching client has an ongoing subscription for receiving the notifications from a client data server. When the watching client receives a subscription suspend trigger, the watching client sends a subscription suspend message to the client data server indicating that client data notifications should be temporarily withheld while retaining the subscription. When the watching client subsequently receives a subscription resume trigger, the watching client sends a subscription resume message to the client data server indicating that the suspended subscription shall be resumed and allowing client data notifications to be delivered again. The watching client then subsequently receives client data notifications according to the subscription.

Abstract: A crystallization method, including: depositing a thin film of a crystalline material on a substrate; heating the substrate and the crystalline material deposited on the substrate to a first temperature for a time enabling internal strains present in the crystalline material to be relaxed; after the heating, subjecting the substrate and the crystalline material to a second temperature and to a uniform bending by placing the substrate on a bending bench, a quantity of bending and a difference between the first and the second temperature having values determined from elastic bending constants, thermal deformations and thermal expansion coefficients to favor a particular crystallographic orientation of the crystalline material along an azimuth direction in relation to a direction normal to the substrate.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method in a radio base station (15) and a radio base station for updating information on communication network nodes (A-H) serving a tracking area (28) in which said radio base station (15) is located. The updating information is requested by sending an identity of said tracking area (28) to a communication network server (25), where after said information on said serving communication network nodes (A-H) is received from said communication network server (25).
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method, device, instruction set, and signal for communicating the availability of additional information in access points relevant for determining in a mobile station which access point to connect to. An information tag is inserted into a beacon signal alerting of the additional information available; mobile stations not implemented with the present invention may operate as if the information tag was not present and thus ensuring compatibility between systems.
Abstract: A method for implementing power loop control at a RBS controlled by an RNC includes receiving an SIR target at the RBS which is determined by the RNC for a mobile station in communication with the RBS. In a first mode, one or more transmit power control commands are generated at the RBS for issuance to the mobile station based on the SIR target received from the RNC. In a second mode, one or more transmit power control commands are generated at the RBS for issuance to the mobile station based on an SIR target determined by the RBS for the mobile station instead of the SIR target received from the RNC. Also in the second mode, artificial mobile station connection quality information is reported from the RBS to the RNC so that the SIR target determined by the RNC is adjusted in accordance with the SIR target determined by the RBS.
Abstract: A wireless communication system that includes a robust transmitter array. The robust transmitter array includes an antenna array system with at least one column, at least one antenna element, and at least one polarization, a plurality of transmitter devices to transmit analog voice/data signals through the antenna array system, and a signal processor. The signal processor modifies two or more input signals in the event of a transmitter device failure such that substantially similar amounts of each of the two or more input signals are output from the transmitter system to the antenna array system, and wherein substantially less transmitted signal power is lost than in the case wherein the signal processor does not modify the two or more input signals in the event of a transmitter failure.

Abstract: The teachings presented herein enable a user terminal to perform a fast recovery from a radio link failure. In one aspect, the improvement in recovery time is achieved by commanding or otherwise causing the user terminal to perform radio link failure (RLF) recovery at a cell that is known to possess the user context, while considering that this cell should yield good radio conditions (if not the best) to the user terminal. A cell may be predefined for use by the user terminal in recovering its radio connection. Based on providing signal strength thresholds to the user terminal, for use in determining whether to use a predefined cell for reconnecting to the network, the user terminal attempts RLF recovery first in the predefined cell. By providing user context to the predefined cell in advance of a recovery attempt by the user terminal, the time for recovery is lessened. Note that the user terminal also may infer which cells are preferred.

Abstract: Exemplary embodiments provide for methods and systems that enable frame generation by fields taken from various queues. Protocol control can also or alternatively be distributed so that one or more header fields can be generated separately from other portions of a frame, e.g., the payload. The one or more header fields can be entered into queues from which they are taken to generate frames.
