Abstract: The invention comprises methods and arrangements for Policy Decision Point discovery in a roaming or handover scenario in an IP network (IN) comprising a plurality of network elements. The invention comprises methods and arrangement in an user equipment for receiving the address of the serving policy decision point and sending to the Home Agent a registration request comprising the local IP address of the user equipment so that the home agent can register the local IP address. The registration request will also comprise the address (ASPDP1) of the serving policy decision point (SPDP1) so that the Home Agent can forward the address of the serving policy decision point to the anchor Policy Decision Point and so that the anchor Policy Decision Point can contact the serving policy decision point by using said address of the serving Policy Decision Point.

Abstract: The present invention relates to methods and arrangements in a wireless communication system, and in particular to uplink outer loop power control. A Node B identifies if a UE from which the Node B receives data is in a predetermined set of power challenged situations. The Node B transmits to the RNC an indication to hold the SIR target of the UE if the UE has been identified to be in a power challenged situation. As a consequence, the uplink outer loop power control (OLPC) procedure in the RNC will not change the SIR target of the UE. This implies that the output power level of the UE remains unchanged as long as the UE remains in the power challenged situation. Thus, user and network performance are improved in the wireless communication system.

Abstract: A method of handling mobility of a sender in a multicast packet sending scenario. The method comprises firstly establishing a multicast tree across a packet data network and transmitting multicast packets from the sender to a plurality of receivers via said multicast tree. Prior to a mobility event in respect of said sender, a suitable transfer anchor node is identified within said network, and the tree re-rooted to that transfer anchor node. Subsequently, multicast packets are transmitted from said sender to said transfer anchor node and injected into the multicast tree at said transfer anchor node. Following said mobility event, said sender continues to send multicast packets to said transfer anchor node for injection into the multicast tree.
Abstract: The present solution relates to a method in a first communication node (501) for suppressing noise in a communication system (500) utilizing an automatic gain control. The first communication node (501) receives (1301) a signal from a second communication node (503). Then, the first communication node (501) determines (1302) if a gain level is changed. The signal gain is changed (1303). The next step is for the first communication node (501) to determine (1305) if an inband interferer is present, and then to suppress (1306) transient noise in the signal.
Abstract: Uplink transmission scheduling requests (SRs) may be prohibited for a lower priority data flow, logical channel group (e.g., VoIP configured with semi-persistent resource allocation), or other grouping but may still be triggered for higher priority traffic (e.g., data connected to a signaling radio bearer (SRB)). More efficient scheduling is also achieved by allowing an uplink transmission scheduler to distinguish between different priority flows or groups (e.g., LCGs) without a buffer status report (BSR), As a result, when a semi-persistent resource is scheduled for the lower priority data, there is less delay for high priority data while eliminating uplink and downlink control signaling, i.e., fewer scheduling requests (SRs) and uplink grants, for the lower priority data.

Abstract: The invention concerns a method for melting a composition of raw materials including introducing the composition in an oven to form a layer (2) at the surface of the molten pool (4). An oxycombustion burner (10) is arranged above the pool and directed towards the composition layer (2) to produce a melting front (3). Parameters of the burner are adjusted to produce a large covering flame (12) causing an essentially radiation-based thermal transfer. Additionally, a plane containing a longitudinal section of the flame (Z-Z) and a horizontal direction perpendicular to the axis of the oven (X-X) intersects the melting front (3) at a height (h) included ranging between one third and half of the thickness of the composition (e). Such a method provides for a stable operation of the oven and is particularly adapted to a large-capacity oven.

Abstract: A configuration including Service Instances (SIs) and a list of Service Units (SUs) is to be validated. The SIs are to be allocated to the SUs for protection of the service represented by the SIs. A set of heuristics is applied to determine whether, for each of the SI assignments, the SI can be allocated to one of the SUs whose capacities support the required capacities of the SI. The heuristic then walks the list in order, to find a first SU that supports a current SI. If none of the SUs in the list can support the current SI, the heuristic indicates that the configuration is not validated. In response to a result that at least one of the heuristics in the set indicates the SUs can support all of the SIs, a final result is generated indicating that the configuration is valid.
