Abstract: The disclosure relates to methods and apparatuses that allow for channelisation code allocation adapted for uplink MIMO transmissions. A method for use in a user equipment of a telecommunication system comprises spreading data symbols of a plurality of streams to be transmitted from the user equipment as MIMO transmissions. The step of spreading the data symbols comprises allocating, for each stream, at least one channelisation code (62) to be applied for spreading the data symbols of the stream. The plurality of streams are allocated channelisation codes (62) from a predefined code tree (61) of applicable channelisation codes such that any channelisation code (62) is allocated to more than one stream only if there is no applicable channelisation code left in the code tree (61) which currently is not allocated for any stream. The channelisation code allocation scheme makes it possible to avoid inter-stream interference in many scenarios of uplink MIMO transmissions.

Abstract: Presented are methods and apparatus for obtaining event notifications by a client. A notification gateway server collects event notifications from a plurality of application servers and provides them to the client through outstanding event requests. The client initializes the notification gateway server for establishing a notification channel between the client and the notification gateway server. The client then uses at least one notification request, such as an HTTP long polling request, to collect the event notifications from the notification gateway server. The client sends another notification request to the notification server each time event notifications are received.

Abstract: Embodiments herein provide reduced backhaul bandwidth requirements for Coordinated Multi-Point reception of an uplink signal. A cooperating base station receive and demodulates the uplink signal to produce soft output values that each indicate the value of a corresponding information symbol in the uplink signal and the level of certainty in that symbol value. The cooperating base station then selectively sends particular ones of the soft output values to a serving base station over a backhaul communication link based on whether or not the level of certainty indicated by each soft output value exceeds a certainty threshold. The serving base station likewise receives and demodulates the uplink signal to produce its own soft output values. The serving base station then combines respective ones of the soft output values it received from the cooperating base station and the soft output values it produced itself that are associated with the same information symbol.

Abstract: A method of data transmission with a first mobile station (UE1) in a cellular communication system is described. The cellular communication system comprises a plurality of access nodes (BS1, BS2, BS3), and a plurality of mobile stations (UE11, UE2?, UE3?) in a coverage area (302) of the plurality of access nodes (BS1, BS2, BS3). The plurality of access nodes (BS1, BS2, BS3) and the plurality of mobile stations are adapted to perform data transmission in a first mode between an individual access node from the plurality of access nodes and the first mobile station (UE1), and in a second mode of cooperative data transmission between at least two of the access nodes from the plurality of access nodes and the first mobile station (UE1).

Abstract: A system and method for displaying additional traffic information beyond that received from an ADS-B or other transponder communication. Such additional traffic information may be displayed on a display screen within a cockpit, and may include such things as an aircraft's make, model, manufacturer, or other information. The additional information may be displayed as text, or one or more pictures, icons, or symbols that correspond to this additional information, or any combination of text and such items. The additional information may be determined from one or more databases that correlate information received in the transponder communication to the additional information that is not contained within the transponder communication.

Abstract: An Optical Line Terminal (2) connected to a Passive Optical Network provides a service to a Client device (1, 8) by receiving its hardware identity, as well as SIM-authentication information, from the Client device, and forwarding to the Authentication Server (3). After authentication of an end-user, a relationship is created between the Client device and the end-user. The OLT activates a service, based on service subscriptions associated with the end-user and on hardware-dependent service definitions associated with the Client device.

Abstract: Method, apparatuses and computer programs for handling data related to users of a communications system comprising: a database server storing data related to users of the system, and a plurality of service servers. The database server modifies (1103) a first data stored therein for a user according to a received request (1101), and sends a second message (1109) notifying the data modification to a first service server comprising: an identifier of the user, the first data after the modification, and an identifier of a second service server of the system that handle data related to the user. The first service server sends a third message (2105) to the second service server requesting to modify a data held therein in relationship with said user. Features of the invention help in reducing signaling in layered systems, since additional data are communicated in the second message.

Abstract: A heat exchange device with convective and confined boiling includes a channel in a substrate in contact with an element to be cooled, in which a polar fluid flows from upstream to downstream, a mechanism of movement of the fluid by convection in the channel imposing a direction of flow, and a device for movement by electro-wetting positioned between the channel and the element to be cooled to move the fluid in the channel. The channel includes an inner surface having low wettability with regard to the polar fluid. The mechanism of movement by electro-wetting includes electrodes and a controller to apply selectively a potential to the electrodes such that an electrostatic force gradient is applied to the fluid in the direction of flow.

Abstract: Embodiments relate to HLR reset signalling via the s6a interface in EPS. This is provided as nodes and methods for improved utilization of radio resources in a telecommunications network, where Home location registers (HLR) identities related to associated user equipment contexts and associated Mobile Service Centers (MSC) are saved in a mobility management entity (MME). An identity of a restarted HLR is received in the MME and the MME compares the HLR identity with a saved list of HLR identities saved for UE and associated with a respective mobile service center (MSC) server. The MME sets a flag for UE associated with the restarted HLR, the flag indicating an alert. When the MME receives a UE signaling event for a UE with the flag set the MME sends an SGs application Part message to the respective MSC server to indicate that activity from the UE has been detected.
