Abstract: The invention relates to a method of manufacturing sheets based on hydraulic binder, particularly sheets of plasterboard with feathered edges. The method comprises the steps of (I) making a mark (301) on a facing (2 or 3) of the preform (5), (II) detecting the mark (301), and (III) sending an actuating signal to a device (9) for cutting the preform (5). Abstract: The invention relates to a sealant compound comprising, in weight percent relative to the compound total volume: 40-60% of mineral filler whose diameter d50 ranges from 5 to 20 microns, 5-10% of hydrophobic expanded perlite whose diameter d50 ranges from 20 to 100 microns and 4-20% of binder. A method for preparing the inventive compound is also disclosed. Abstract: A process for stabilizing plaster includes: a) providing a heated HH-plaster; b) feeding the hot plaster in a moistening device having walls heated to at least 100° C.; c) injecting water and/or steam into the moistening device in conditions that such not yet moistened surfaces of the plaster are exposed to the injected water and/or steam; d) maintaining an atmosphere in the moistening device at a level of the dew point in the range of 75 to 99° C.; e) feeding the moistened blend into a curing device; f) maintaining an atmosphere in the curing device above 75° C. for at least 3 minutes; g) feeding the moistened and cured blend into a drying device; and h) drying the moistened and cured blend. Also an apparatus for moistening ?-hemihydrate plaster includes a rotating drum with lifting blades inside where all walls in contact with the product are externally heated at a temperature above 100° C.

Abstract: A flow enhanced calcium sulfate product includes a calcium sulfate source material, such as a flue gas desulphurization by-product, is pre-blended with a granular feedstock exhibiting good cementitious properties. The flow enhanced calcium sulfate is fed to a cement mill where it is combined with clinker during a finishing grinding process for portland cement. The flow enhanced calcium sulfate exhibits good flowability without changing the properties of the cement.

Abstract: A method of producing a coated gypsum board includes depositing a gypsum slurry to form a wet gypsum board having a gypsum core; applying a coating to the wet gypsum board; and drying the wet gypsum board, wherein the step of applying the coating occurs prior to the step of drying and the coating penetrates through at least a portion of the facing sheet and into at least a portion of the gypsum core.
