Abstract: The present disclosure provides a portable low voltage switching device to control the power and brightness of LEDs in LE arrays. The device is further comprised of two circuits, one power circuit to control the LED wattage, and another brightness circuit to control the LED lumens. The device is connected in between an LED driver and the LED arrays, receiving a stepped down DC voltage and splitting it across the two LED arrays. The device can provide power and adjust the brightness to both of the LED arrays, with the first LED array having a “warm” colour and the second LED array having a “cool” colour. Therefore, instead of using a single light fixture containing a single LED array, the device can be used with a single fixture having two LED arrays, providing a variety of brightness and power options to the cool and warm colours.
Abstract: Disclosed is a luminaire structure, comprising at least one light guide segment having opposed surface regions and defining a dimension therebetween. At least one edge region with at least one LED array configured to form an edge-lit optical coupling with the edge region. The light guide segment further includes a first sensor passage extending between the opposed surface regions to receive a sensor. At least one of the light guide segment, the first sensor passage and/or the sensor is configured so that light delivered to the light guide segment through the edge-lit optical coupling illuminates the light guide segment with reduced optical disruption by the presence of the sensor in the first sensor passage, when compared with a non edge-lit optical coupling configuration.

Abstract: Disclosed is a grid lighting system having at least one housing segment with at least one lighting zone. At least one lighting module is selected from at least one track lighting module and/or at least one non-track lighting module. The at least one lighting zone extends along a first length dimension of the housing segment and including at least one first passage to receive the at least one track lighting module and/or non-track lighting module. The housing segment includes a first power supply segment to be coupled with a designated line voltage outlet to deliver line voltage power to the at least one lighting module in the at least one lighting zone. Each track lighting module includes a lighting subzone, with a second passage to receive one or more lighting submodules along a second length dimension. A second power supply segment is provided to couple with the first power supply segment to receive line power and to deliver low voltage to the one or more lighting submodules.

Abstract: Methods are described herein for isolating clonal populations of cells having a defined genetic modification. The methods are performed, at least in part, in a microfluidic device comprising one or more sequestration pens. The methods include the steps of: maintaining individual cells (or precursors thereof) that have undergone a genomic editing process in corresponding sequestration pens of a microfluidic device; expanding the individual cells into respective clonal populations of cells; and detecting, in one or more cells of each clonal population, the presence of a first nucleic acid sequence that is indicative of the presence of an on-target genome edit in the clonal population of cells. Also described are methods of performing genome editing within a microfluidic device, and compositions comprising one or more clonal populations of cells generated according to the methods disclosed herein.

Abstract: A microfluidic device can comprise a plurality of interconnected microfluidic elements. A plurality of actuators can be positioned abutting, immediately adjacent to, and/or attached to deformable surfaces of the microfluidic elements. The actuators can be selectively actuated and de-actuated to create directed flows of a fluidic medium in the microfluidic (or nanofluidic) device. Further, the actuators can be selectively actuated and de-actuated to create localized flows of a fluidic medium in the microfluidic device to move reagents and/or micro-objects in the microfluidic device.
