Abstract: System for determining periodic values of phase angle ? of waveform power input including voltage detector for detecting periodic values of average voltage of waveform power input and detecting corresponding periodic values of peak voltage of waveform power input. System also includes phase angle ? detector in signal communication for receiving periodic values of average voltage and peak voltage from voltage detector. Phase angle ? detector also detects periodic values each being ratio of one of periodic values of average voltage divided by corresponding periodic value of peak voltage, or being ratio of peak voltage divided by average voltage; and determines periodic values of phase angle ? of waveform power input corresponding to periodic values of ratio. Lighting systems.
Abstract: The present disclosure provides methods for generating tunable white light with controllable circadian energy performance. The methods use a plurality of LED strings to generate light with color points that fall within blue, yellow/green, red, and cyan color ranges, with each LED string being driven with a separately controllable drive current in order to tune the generated light output. Different light emitting modes can be selected that utilize different combinations of the plurality of LED strings in order to tune the generated white light.

Abstract: Luminaires that simultaneously illuminate a support surface (for example, a floor) and the surface to which the luminaires are mounted (for example, a ceiling) and methods for manufacturing the same are disclosed. Embodiments include luminaires that divide the light from a single light emitter (which may include one or more light sources such as LEDs) into a portion directed toward the luminaire's mounting surface and a portion directed toward the support surface. Some embodiments utilize a planar light guide with the light emitter mounted adjacent one edge, which in some embodiments is the internal edge of an aperture formed in the planar light guide. In some embodiments, one surface of the light guide includes grooves that internally reflect light toward the support surface while allowing a smaller amount of light to exit the light guide toward the mounting surface, and may be grouped according to the distance separating adjacent grooves.

Abstract: A luminaire includes a housing having a back wall and several side walls, a diffuser provided at a front of the housing, and a plurality of LED strips disposed on the back wall of the housing. The height of the housing is less than 3 inches, with internal dimensions such that X:Y=1:7 and Z is <1.5 inch, wherein X is the minimum distance between one of the LED strips and the diffuser, Y is the maximum distance, along a plane parallel to the back wall, between a center of one of the LED strips to an edge of the back wall, and Z is the distance, along a plane parallel to the diffuser, between an edge of the back wall and a front edge of the side wall sharing the edge with the back wall. The LED strips are configured to have a Full Width Half Max beam angle ?>100°, and emit <50 lumens.
Abstract: An elongated, linkable LED strip lighting fixture having an elongated LED strip light engine with an LED light engine electrical contacting structure for cooperating with a linking device to link elongated, linkable LED strip lighting fixtures together, the linked LED lighting fixtures are powered by a single connection to an electrical outlet. The linked LED strip lighting fixtures can be operated independently of each other. A linking device is also included, and a patch plug is provided for enabling the linking plug to be operatively connected to an electrical output.
Abstract: An illumination device for a firearm may include a housing supporting multiple lamps. A switch actuator of the device is rotationally coupled to a rear end of the housing. A cam is coupled to the switch actuator, such that the cam rotates with the actuator, the cam having a first end including a magnet and a second end having a shaped cam surface configured to interface with a cam follower. The actuator and the cam are biased toward a neutral position. Selective rotation of the cam causes a magnet of the cam to operate one or more magnetic switches. The cam is transitionable between a plurality of discrete positions, e.g., including a pair of toggle positions in the first rotational direction from the neutral position, and a pair of momentary positions disposed on the cam in the second rotational direction from the neutral position.
