Publication number: 20230394380Abstract: Techniques herein attempt to provide actors with more flexible and satisfactory experiences regarding obtaining tickets for an event. A learning model may identify attributes indicative of whether a particular actor (e.g., attempting to purchase tickets to an event) possesses a desirable characteristic (e.g., is likely to attend the event). Each actor can then be evaluated to estimate whether she is a good actor (possesses the characteristic). If so, favored opportunities may be made available, such as the opportunity to buy high-demand tickets. An actor may further have the opportunity to hold or reserve tickets for a period time, during which other actors cannot purchase them. A fee for holding or reserving tickets (and/or maintaining the hold or reserve) can be dynamically set based on market factors. Opportunities to modify seat assignments to allow a group of friends to sit together may also be provided.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 17, 2023Publication date: December 7, 2023Applicant: Live Nation Entertainment, Inc.Inventors: David Scarborough, Samuel Levin, John Carnahan, Michael Horowitz, Alexander Hazboun

Patent number: 11818131Abstract: Authentication systems and methods can selectively authenticate a request to access a resource data store storing access rights associated with a user device. The systems and methods can scalably execute challenges workflows as part of the authentication process. For example, a request to access one or more access rights stored in the data store can be received from the user device. The user device can be authenticated using challenge workflows selected based on a device identifier of the user device. The selected challenge workflows can be executed to determine whether or not to grant access to the access rights stored in the resource data store.Type: GrantFiled: June 6, 2022Date of Patent: November 14, 2023Assignee: Live Nation Entertainment, Inc.Inventors: Dan Cernoch, Ajay Pondicherry, David Refsland, Kenneth Ives-Halperin

Publication number: 20230350989Abstract: A system and method for scheduling tasks associated with controlling access to databases. The system and method relate to scheduling tasks for data requesting systems that satisfy particular conditions. For example, data requesting systems that satisfy the conditions may have associated tasks stored in a queue during a first processing phase. Data requesting systems that do not satisfy the conditions may have associated tasks inhibited from being stored in the queue during the first processing phase, but these tasks may be stored in the queue during a later second processing phase. Tasks stored in the queue during the first processing phase may be processed before tasks stored in the queue during the second processing phase. For example, the tasks may correspond to accessing a database for querying data representing access rights to a resource.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 28, 2023Publication date: November 2, 2023Applicant: Live Nation Entertainment, Inc.Inventors: Robert McEwen, Debbie Hsu, John Carnahan, Vasanth Kumar

Publication number: 20230344833Abstract: A resource-access management system detects whether a user is authorized to access resources. The system may include a user device being configured to include a sensor that detects sensor data associated with the user. Further, the system includes a client qualification engine that determines whether or not a client is authorized to access the resources by comparing the sensor data with a plurality of patterns for evaluating whether or not the user is an authorized user. User scores are generated based on the compared sensor data and the plurality of patterns. Further, a composite score corresponding to the user is generated using the sensor data, plurality of patterns, and one or more additional criteria. Whether the user is granted access to the resources, presented with unauthorized user tests, or blocked from access to the resources depends on the composite score and threshold values.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 5, 2023Publication date: October 26, 2023Applicant: Live Nation Entertainment, Inc.Inventors: Fengpei Du, Michael Lane, Kenneth Ives-Halperin

Publication number: 20230283682Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for executing tasks selected based on locations of user devices. A first user device associated with an access right to a resource can be identified. The location of the first user device can be determined at a time before a defined time period. Further, a protocol execution condition can be detected. Upon detecting the protocol execution condition, executing a protocol. Executing the protocol can include determining a distance between the first user device and a resource location. Whether the distance between the first user device and the resource location is less than or equal to a distance range of the resource location at a time prior to the defined time period can be determined. Patent number: 11734442Abstract: A method for detection and use of device identifiers to enhance the security of data transfers between electronic devices. A first electronic device can transmit access data to a second electronic device. The access data can be associated with a first access code that can be generated based at least in part on data representing a device identifier of the first electronic device. A device identifier can uniquely identify the first electronic device from a plurality of electronic devices. Transferring the access data can involve transforming the first access code into a second access code that can include data representing a device identifier associated with the second electronic device. Transforming the first access code into the second access code can facilitate access to a resource associated with the access data for a second user, but not for a first user.Type: GrantFiled: December 30, 2022Date of Patent: August 22, 2023Assignee: Live Nation Entertainment, Inc.Inventors: Samuel Levin, David Scarborough, Fengpei Du, Richard DiStefano, Dennis Denker, Sean Moriarty, Charles Plamondon, Matthew Siegel, Benjamin Marti

Publication number: 20230211090Abstract: Embodiments relate to using sensor data and location data from a device to generate augmented reality images. A mobile device pose can be determined (a geographic position, direction and a three dimensional orientation of the device) within a location. A type of destination in the location can be identified and multiple destinations can be identified, with the mobile device receiving queue information about the identified destinations from a server. A first image can be captured. Based on the queue information, one of the identified destinations can be selected. The geographic position of each identified destination can be identified, and these positions can be combined with the mobile device pose to generate a second image. Finally, an augmented reality image can be generated by combining the first image and the second image, the augmented reality image identifying the selected one destination.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 16, 2022Publication date: July 6, 2023Applicant: Live Nation Entertainment, Inc.Inventor: James Paul Callaghan
