Abstract: A biological fluid sampling vessel may include a container portion having an opening and an interior for housing a urine sample therein. The vessel may further include a sampling portion that removably engages the container portion to close off the interior. The sampling portion may include a sampling wand configured for obtaining a sample.
Abstract: This disclosure describes a micro-cutting machine for forming cuts in catheters, guidewires, and similar products. The micro-cutting machine can directly control the dimensions of the resultant beams being cut into these types of products, and can also capture images of each cut for feedback control and accuracy verification. The micro-cutting machine has two cutting blades each with cutting edges aligned with a vertical axis. Motors operate to move the cutting blades in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the stock material being cut to form a pair of opposing grooves in the stock material with each cut.

Abstract: A method for executing a game by a computing system that uses a central processing unit (CPU) and graphics processing unit (GPU) for generating video frames. A draw call is generated for a video frame by the CPU. At bind time, i.e. writing of the GPU commands by the CPU using a GPU API, asset aware data (AAD) is written to the command buffer, and loading of one or more level of detail (LOD) data from an asset store to system memory is requested. The GPU executes the draw call for the frame using LOD data written to the system memory, the GPU using at least a minimum of LOD data based on the AAD. Additionally, the GPU uses information regarding the LOD load state when executing the draw call, in order to avoid access to LODs not yet loaded.
Abstract: A motor vehicle, in particular a self-driving motor vehicle, has at least one vehicle seat, wherein the vehicle seat is constructed to be arranged at a selected position from a plurality of positions in the passenger compartment of the motor vehicle.

Abstract: A method for infiltrating a substance into a heterogeneous solid of a material of an elastomeric strap to form a logo that includes providing a permeating substance and a heterogeneous solid of the elastomeric strap. The heterogeneous solid comprises a first region, a second region, and an interface region interposed between the first region and the second region. The method also includes applying an energy to the heterogeneous solid with the energy of an amount sufficient to render the interface region temporarily permeable; applying a driving force configured to infiltrate the permeating substance into the interface region to form the logo; and, modifying the application of the energy, thereby rendering the interface region impermeable and causing a portion of the permeating substance to disperse into the first region.
Abstract: Disclosed embodiments relate to systems and methods for locating, measuring, counting or aiding in the handling of drill pipes 106. The system 100 comprises at least one camera 102 capable of gathering visual data 150 regarding detecting, localizing or both, pipes 106, roughnecks 116, elevators 118 and combinations thereof. The system 100 further comprises a processor 110 and a logging system 114 for recording the gathered visual data 150. The method 200 comprises acquiring visual data 150 using a camera 106, analyzing the acquired data 150, and recording the acquired data 150.
Abstract: A system and method may include receiving, by multiple vessel nodes, RF signals communicated from a target node coupled to a target object. A range measurement between respective vessel nodes and the target node may be determined. A range measurement from at least two of the vessel nodes may be received. Relative geographic coordinates of the vessel and the target node using the range measurements received from the at least two vessel nodes may be determined. The relative geographic coordinates of the vessel and target object may be determined.
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed herein relating to the annotation of microscan data/images and the generation of context-rich electronic reports. Microscan images are imported and displayed in a context-rich environment to provide contextual information for an operator to annotate microscan images. Markers are used to identify the relative location of a microscan image on a full-subject image. Reports are generated that include a full-subject image with one or more markers identifying the relative locations of annotated image data in one or more locations on the full-subject image. Hyperlinked data elements allow for quick navigation to detailed report information in location selection sections of the report for each marked location on the full-subject image in the report.

Abstract: Techniques described herein relate to facilitating end-to-end multilingual communications with automated assistants. In various implementations, speech recognition output may be generated based on voice input in a first language. A first language intent may be identified based on the speech recognition output and fulfilled in order to generate a first natural language output candidate in the first language. At least part of the speech recognition output may be translated to a second language to generate an at least partial translation, which may then be used to identify a second language intent that is fulfilled to generate a second natural language output candidate in the second language. Scores may be determined for the first and second natural language output candidates, and based on the scores, a natural language output may be selected for presentation.

Abstract: Methods and systems for spoken language interface for network management are disclosed. In some implementations, data indicating a transcription of a spoken request from a user of a voice-response interface is received. Status information for a communication system is received. The request is interpreted based on the transcription and the status information for the communication system. A response to the request is generated based on the status information for the communication system, and data for a synthesized speech utterance of the response is provided in response to the spoken request.

Abstract: A random access memory is provided including a plane structure comprising a plurality of sense amplifiers, each including a local data latch, a pair of local busses connected to each of the data latches, a differential data bus, and a pair of redrivers connected between the pair of local busses and the differential data bus.
Abstract: A vehicle control system having a controller and a spatial database adapted to provide spatial data to the controller at control speed. The spatial data provided from the spatial database to the controller includes images collected from an optical sensor subsystem in addition to other data collected by a variety of sensor types, including a GNSS or inertial measurement system. The spatial data received by the controller from the database forms at least part of the control inputs that the controller operates on to control the vehicle. The advantage provided by the present invention allows control system to “think” directly in terms of spatial location. A vehicle control system in accordance with one particular embodiment of the invention comprises a task path generator, a spatial database, at least one external spatial data receiver, a vehicle attitude compensation module, a position error generator, a controller, and actuators to control the vehicle.
