Abstract: A suspension element includes a main body having an internal volume configured to contain a liquid therein, a tubular element extending at least partially within the main body, the tubular element having an internal volume that defines a first fluid chamber configured to contain a compressible gas therein, a first piston separating the internal volume of the main body into a second fluid chamber and a third fluid chamber, a second piston positioned to separate the first fluid chamber from the second fluid chamber, and a flow control element disposed along a flow path between the second fluid chamber and the third fluid chamber. Movement of the tubular element generates a flow of the liquid through the flow control element to produce a damping force and changes the pressure of the compressible gas to produce a spring force.

Abstract: Metadata associated with IoT devices is stored. The metadata may include categories associated with the IoT devices. At least a first category may be hierarchical such that the first category includes at least two hierarchical levels, with each hierarchical level including at least two categories, and such that each category in a hierarchical level that is below another hierarchical level is a subset of one of the categories in the hierarchical levels above that hierarchical level. User information associated with users is stored. A request associated with one of the users and further associated with access to at least one of the IoT devices is received. Responsive to the request, the access is selectively granted to the at least one of the IoT devices based upon the stored user information and the stored metadata.
Abstract: A textile comprising: i) a fabric including a laced region associated with a surface of the textile; and ii) a thread inlaid through a plurality of points proximate a perimeter of the laced region. Tightening the thread causes opposite sides of the laced region to be cinched together, thereby forming the laced region into a flap associated with a second surface of the textile opposite the first surface. The textile further comprises a listing wire disposed in the flap. The fabric forms a plurality of perforations within the laced region. The listing wire may be accessed by an attachment device through at least one of the plurality of perforations.

Abstract: This document relates to hardware protection of differential privacy techniques. One example obtains multiple instances of encrypted telemetry data within a secure enclave and processes the encrypted telemetry data to obtain multiple instances of unencrypted telemetry data. The example also processes, within the secure enclave, the multiple instances of unencrypted telemetry data to obtain a perturbed aggregate. The example also releases the perturbed aggregate from the secure enclave.

Abstract: An intelligent log gap detection to ensure necessary backup promotion. Specifically, a method and system are disclosed, which entail determining whether to pursue a differential database backup or promote the differential database backup to a full database backup, in order to preclude data loss across high availability databases. The deduction pivots on a matching or mismatching between log sequence numbers (LSNs).

Abstract: Method and apparatus are disclosed for estimating job and career transition capabilities of candidates in a database. An example system for processing a search query indicative of a candidate to hire includes a database including records of a plurality of profiles, a network connector to provide access to the database via an application programming interface, and a computing device. The computing device periodically generates a first score representing a likelihood that a person associated with the respective profile will respond to a communication regarding a job in a particular category. The computing device also, in response to receiving a search query (a) generates a second score representing a probabilistic measurement of a likelihood that the person associated with the retrieved profile will change jobs, (b) generates a third score representative of a percentile level of activity associated with searching for a new job.
Abstract: Provided herein is a CD40L-Fc fusion protein and methods of using the fusion protein in the treatment of cancer comprising administering the CD40L-Fc fusion protein or the CD40L-Fc fusion protein in combination with one or more immune checkpoint inhibitors (e.g., an anti-CTLA4 antibody, anti-PD-L1 antibody).

Abstract: The present technology is generally directed to providing beds of coking material to charge a coking oven. In various embodiments, a quantity of first particulate material, having a first particulate size and bulk density, is combined with a second particulate material, having a second particulate size and bulk density, to define a multi-modal bed of coking material. The multi-modal bed of coking material exhibits an optimized bulk density that is greater than an ideal bulk density predicted by a linear combination of the bulk densities of the individual materials.

A first wheel hub and a second wheel hub rotatably coupled with the De Dion tube. A suspension system coupled with the vehicle frame, the suspension system having at least one pair of trailing arms pivotally coupled with the vehicle frame and at least one pair of air springs. A first electric drive assembly in driving engagement with the first wheel hub, and a second electric drive assembly in driving engagement with the second wheel hub.
Abstract: Techniques for configuring a repeater are disclosed. An independent oscillation reduction factor for reducing oscillation in the repeater can be determined when an overload protection is disabled at the repeater. The oscillation can be caused by feedback of one or more signals between a donor port and a server port of the repeater. The independent oscillation reduction factor can be indicated for use in determining an antenna installation location or orientation.

Abstract: Locating passenger transit vehicles by detecting interactions. Each interaction is between a transit terminal and a geolocation-enabled user device, and is characterized by data indicative of the interacting terminal, the interacting user device, and the time of interaction. For each detected interaction, a geolocation of the corresponding user device at the time of the interaction is requested; and in response to the requesting, the geolocation of the corresponding user device, the time of the geolocation, and the data indicative of the interacting terminal is received. A particular passenger transit vehicle associated with at least one interacting terminal is identified based on the user device geolocations. The location of the passenger transit vehicle is transmitted for display on user devices.
Abstract: The present technology relates to a data processing device and a data processing method which can ensure high communication quality in data transmission using LDPC codes. In group-wise interleaving, an LDPC code having a code length N of 64800 bits and a coding rate r of 9/15 is interleaved in a unit of a bit group of 360 bits. In group-wise deinterleaving, a sequence of bit groups of the LDPC code which has been subjected to the group-wise interleaving is returned to an original sequence. The present technology can be applied to, for example, a case in which data transmission is performed using LDPC codes.

Abstract: Various embodiments are provided herein for modifying a virtual scene based on eye-tracking. A computing device coupled to a HMD can provide a virtual scene for display on the HMD. The computing device can receive sensor data from a set of eye-tracking sensors coupled to the HMD. Based on the received sensor data, the computing device can determine a set of focal regions of the displayed virtual scene, including a perifoveal region of the displayed virtual scene. A portion of the virtual scene can then be modified based, in part, on a determination that the portion is outside of the determined perifoveal region.
