  • Patent number: 10975417
Abstract: Disclosed herein are methods, compositions and systems that facilitate accurate phasing of sequence data such as genomic sequence data through the segmentation and rearrangement of nucleic acid molecules in such a way as to preserve individual molecules phase or physical linkage information. This is variously accomplished by binding molecules independent of their phosphodiester backbones, cleaving the molecules, ligating, and sequencing the molecules through long-read sequencing technology to recover segment sequence information spanning at least more than one segment.

  • Patent number: 10974137
Abstract: Increasing a number of advertising impressions in a system configured to facilitate user interaction with an interactive environment containing one or more advertising targets is described. A scene of a portion of the simulated environment is displayed from a camera point of view (camera POV) on a video display. The scene may change as the camera POV changes in response to movement of the camera POV along a camera path during the user's interaction with the simulated environment. Modifying the camera path or a camera field of view can place more of an advertising target within the displayed scene to increase a likelihood of generating an advertising impression. The advertising target is characterized by a field of attraction of the camera POV.

  • Patent number: 10976252
Abstract: Apparatus and methods are provided for quantitative detection of mercury vapor in gas samples using a film of nanoparticles. The localized surface plasmon resonance (LSPR) of an amalgam nanoparticle is sensitive to adsorbed mercury mass. The equilibrium mass of mercury on a gold nanoparticle is a function of the surrounding vapor concentration and the temperature of the gold. A device that introduces a temperature-controlled gold nanoparticle film to a controlled flow of sample gas responds predictably to a given mercury vapor concentration when optically probed in situ. Controlling the temperature of the film allows for control of adsorption and desorption rates. Equilibrium plasmonic mercury detection, described herein, removes the cycling necessary for many gold-based mercury analyses. Methods are given for the operation and analysis of the temperature-stabilized gold nanoparticle mercury sensor.

  • Patent number: 10976411
Abstract: Systems, vehicles, and techniques are provided to classify reflection detection points in a sensing system. A reflection detection point can be classified as an apparent reflection or a physical reflection. In some embodiments, a beamforming map can be generated using a response function of an antenna array and data representative of electromagnetic signals received at the antenna array. Multiple reflection detection points can be detected using at least the beamforming map. A second beamforming distribution map also can be generated, using at least the data and a second response function of the array of antennas. The second response function includes minima at respective reflection points. A ratio between (i) a first amplitude of a reflection detection point in the second beamforming map and (ii) a second amplitude of the reflection point in the first beamforming map permits classifying the reflection detection point as an apparent reflection or a physical reflection.
