  • Patent number: 10979487
Abstract: A method and system for providing an aggregate view of information that a user may need is provided. A desktop assistant system collects information items that a user may need such as scheduling information and recently received messages. The desktop assistant system may also identify documents that the user may need and contacts with whom the user may need to communicate based on analysis of the collected scheduling information and the collected messages. The desktop assistant system then displays indications of the collected scheduling information, the collected messages, the identified documents, and the identified contacts so that the user has an integrated view of the needed information items.

  • Patent number: 10980058
Abstract: A wireless device receives an uplink grant scheduling a transmission on a plurality of sub-bands of a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) of a cell. The plurality of sub-bands comprise a first sub-band and one or more other sub-bands. A determination is made that a first type listen-before-talk (LBT) indicates that the first sub-band of the plurality of sub-bands is clear. A determination is made that a second type LBT, performed immediately before the transmission on the first sub-band, indicates that each of the one or more other sub-bands of the plurality of sub-bands are clear. A transport block is transmitted on the plurality of sub-bands of the PUSCH, based on: the determination that the first type LBT indicates that the first sub-band is clear; and the determination that the second type LBT indicates that each of the one or more other sub-bands are clear.

  • Patent number: 10976856
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for providing a swipe-based confirmation mode in electronic touch sensitive devices. The user can engage the confirmation mode by performing a command (e.g., delete or power down command), which causes the device to display a confirmation swipe gesture prompt. The confirmation prompt may be included within a confirmation graphic or a confirmation pop-up window. By performing the confirmation swipe gesture on the touch sensitive surface, the user may confirm the command. By not properly performing the confirmation gesture, closing a confirmation pop-up window, tapping an area of the screen not associated with the confirmation prompt, or otherwise not performing the confirmation swipe gesture, the device may cause the function to be cancelled.

  • Patent number: 10974995
Abstract: A method for fabricating a ceramic matrix composite structure. A core having an ordered structure is fabricated of a preceramic polymer and pyrolyzed. Facesheets, either uncured or cured, are placed on the core (with a bonding layer of preceramic polymer resin if the facesheets are cured) and the assembly is cured and pyrolyzed. The pyrolyzed assembly is re-infiltrated with preceramic polymer resin and re-pyrolyzed. The cycle of re-infiltration and re-pyrolyzation is repeated until the mass gain per cycle stabilizes.

  • Patent number: 10976799
Abstract: An electronic device includes one or more sensors to determine when the device is in use (e.g., being held or worn by the user) and when the device is not in use (e.g., is in a pocket or purse). Examples of such sensors include a capacitive sensor, a thermal sensor, a light sensor, etc. The device can be placed in a mount that allows the device to be more easily worn by the user. The mount extends the capabilities of the sensors on the device so that the sensors on the device can sense information through (or notwithstanding) the mount. The mount also optionally changes the viewpoints of one or more of the sensors, such as by re-directing a sensor that points to the side of the device so that rather than sensing information at the side of the mount information at the bottom of the mount is sensed.
