Abstract: Embodiments of systems and methods for air recovery are disclosed. The diverted pressurized air may be used to supply a hydrostatic purge to the unutilized portion of a turbine engine fuel manifold circuit to ensure that exhaust gases from the utilized side of the fuel manifold circuit do not enter the portion of the alternative fuel manifold circuit rack. The assembly used to remove compressor section pressurized air may include a flow control orifice, line pressure measuring instrumentation, non-return valves, isolation valves and hard stainless-steel tubing assemblies. In some embodiments, a turbine compressor section diverter system may include a small air receiver used to increase the volume of air supplying the manifold to aid in potential pressure and flow disruptions from a turbine engine compressor section.

Abstract: An apparatus is provided for transmission of RF signals between a transmitter and a receiver. The apparatus includes a transmitter comprising a first retroreflector having a first array of sub-wavelength retroreflective elements at one end of an open cavity for transmitting RF seed signals. Abstract: A combine grain cleaning system having front and rear rollers, a conveyor belt having an upper surface extending from the front roller to the rear roller, a motor operatively connected to the conveyor belt and configured to drive the upper surface in a belt travel direction from the front roller to the rear roller, and a baffle located adjacent the rear roller. The baffle has a leading edge, a trailing edge located behind the leading edge with respect to the belt travel direction and below the leading edge with respect to a vertical direction, and a baffle surface extending from the leading edge to the trailing edge. One or more sieves are located below the baffle, and a fan is provided to direct an airflow at least partially upwards in the vertical direction adjacent the rear roller. A method for separating grain is also provided.
Abstract: In one aspect, a method includes determining a content-transmission delay between a content-distribution system and a content-presentation device. The method also includes using at least the determined content-transmission delay as a basis to select, from among a plurality of reference fingerprint data sets, a reference fingerprint data set that corresponds with the determined content-transmission delay. The method also includes transmitting to the content-presentation device, the selected reference fingerprint data set that corresponds with the determined content-transmission delay to facilitate the content-presentation device detecting a match between query fingerprint data representing content received by the content-presentation device and at least a portion of reference fingerprint data in the transmitted reference fingerprint data set.

Abstract: An apparatus configured to be removably attached to a tire/hub assembly of a vehicle via lug nuts of the tire/hub assembly is used to determine imbalance forces of the tire/hub assembly during motion of the vehicle. The apparatus includes a disk and a plurality of cup-shaped objects fixed at one end to the disk and extending perpendicularly outward from the disk. The plurality of cup-shaped objects are arranged a fixed radial distance from a radial center of the disk in a pattern that matches the lug nuts of the tire/hub assembly. The apparatus is mounted to the vehicle's tire/hub assembly by fitting the plurality of cup-shaped objects over the lug nuts of the tire/hub assembly. The apparatus further includes one or more inertial measurement units (IMU's) mounted to the disk to measure parameters that are used for calculating the imbalance forces during motion of the vehicle.

Abstract: Systems and methods for ZTE MRI are disclosed. An exemplary method includes obtaining Larmor frequencies of water and/or fat for a region of interest of a subject to be imaged at a pre-scan and setting a center frequency for an RF transceiver of the MR system at a value between the Larmor frequencies of water and fat. A ZTE pulse sequence is applied to the subject and MR signals in response to the ZTE pulse sequence are received from the subject. The received MR signals are demodulated with the center frequency and an in-phase ZTE image is generated from the demodulated MR signals.
Abstract: An audio system presented herein includes a transducer array, sensor array, and a controller. The controller control tactile content imparted to a user via actuation of at least one transducer in the transducer array while presenting audio content to the user. The transducer array presents the audio content with the tactile content to the user. The audio system can be part of a headset.

Abstract: Technologies pertaining to a rotary electrical contact device are described herein. A rotary electrical contact device comprises a first sheave that is disposed about a first axis and a second sheave that rotates about the first axis or a second axis that is parallel to the first axis. The device further includes two planetary sheaves that revolve around the first and second sheaves, and a belt that makes contact with each of the sheaves, the belt having an aspect ratio great than 1:1. As the first sheave rotates, the planetary sheaves revolve about the first and second sheaves and cause the belt to deform and roll along the second sheave. The belt makes rolling contact with the four sheaves. The belt comprises electrically conductive components arranged such that as the belt rolls along the sheaves, the belt maintains electrical contact between the first sheave and the second sheave.

Abstract: A supercharger having twisted meshing rotors sealingly contained within a housing having an inlet port to admit air into the meshing rotors and an outlet port to expel air from the meshing rotors, the rotors having mesh points where the rotors contact one another and spaces between their mesh points to accept air from the inlet port and propel it to the outlet port as the rotors are rotated and the mesh points travel axially, the housing, inlet and rotors defining an angle known as the seal transfer angle which is greater than or equal to zero degrees when the inlet port is closed and the volume of air between rotors is sealed and has no leakage path. In the described supercharger the housing, rotors and inlet port are configured to have a negative seal transfer angle of, e.g., ?10 to ?40 degrees or more, up to the maximum available, and to provide a leakage path for an angular portion of the rotors' rotation, improving high end performance without degrading low end performance.

Abstract: A depth camera assembly (DCA) determines depth information within a local area. The DCA may selectively process a subset of data captured by an imaging sensor and obtained from the imaging sensor, such as pixels corresponding to a region of interest, for depth information. Alternatively, the DCA may limit retrieval of data from the imaging sensor to pixels corresponding to the region of interest from the imaging sensor for processing for depth information. The depth processing may include a semi-global match (SGM) algorithm, and the DCA adjusts a number of neighboring pixels used for determining depth information for a specific pixel based on one or more criteria. In some embodiments, the DCA performs the depth processing by analyzing images from different image sensors using left to right and right to left correspondence checks that are performed in parallel.

Abstract: A configurable blowback bolt system is provided. Embodiments include a two-part configurable bolt assembly having a bolt carrier and a configurable bolt that allows for use with various calibers of ammunition, both rifle and pistol. The configurable bolt may also eject cartridges to the right or left side of the rifle by moving the extractor to one or the other side of the bolt. A buffer may be included as part of the configurable blowback bolt to shorten the stroke based on the caliber of ammunition being fired with the configurable blowback bolt system.
