Abstract: In some implementations, a device may receive information indicating that an instrument has been provided by a user to a recipient. The instrument may be associated with a value, and the instrument may be designated for the recipient. The device may determine, using the machine learning model, a prediction of a time of an event associated with the instrument based on the recipient. The event associated with the instrument may result in a reduction of a balance of an account of the user. The device may transmit to another device of the user, a notification indicating the prediction of the time of the event associated with the instrument.

Abstract: A method including receiving an input comprising natural language texts; segmenting the natural language texts into sections; summarizing the natural language texts; developing a first model based on the plurality of sections and the summary of the natural language texts; identifying one or more salient sentences within the natural language texts using the first model; determining a sentence quality score based on how informative a salient sentence is; determining a sentence similarity score based on a salient sentence's similarity to another salient sentence; developing a second model based on the sentence quality score and the sentence similarity score; combining the first model and the second model into a final model; selecting sentences based on the final model; and generating an extractive summarization using the selected sentences.

Abstract: A tunable nanofiber filter device can include a filter housing defining an interior space, the housing having defined therein and inlet and an outlet, each in fluid communication with the interior space, and a plurality of filter laminas disposed within the interior space, each filter lamina including an upper surface, a lower surface, and an aperture defined therethrough. The plurality of filter laminas can be arranged in a stack wherein the opposing surfaces of adjacent filter laminas define a portion of an interlaminar flow space extending between the opposing surfaces. The flow space can be in fluid communication with the apertures of corresponding adjacent filter laminas to form a continuous flow passage extending through the lamina stack from the inlet to the outlet. An array nanofibers can extend into the flow passage from a portion of each filter lamina such that a fluid flowed through the flow passage flows across a portion of said array.

Abstract: A deck box kit formed from injection molded split plastic panels that interlock with an adjoining panel to form top, bottom, front and rear walls. The adjoining panels are secured in position with screw fasteners, and utilize integrally formed cross bracing, ribs and gussets for increased rigidity. In a disassembled state, the panels are substantially the same size, allowing efficiency in storage and reduced shipping costs by employing substantially square packaging. Further, the panels are stored in a nested configuration to eliminate the shipping of containers requiring fillers to address free air space.

Abstract: Systems and methods for customizing business applications based upon user intent scores is described. A machine learning model trained to specifically predict when a user is likely to engage in a specific activity while interacting with the business application may be trained using data regarding prior interactions between a business application and a plurality of users. The machine learning model may thereafter provide a probability score for a particular user, the probability score indicating the likelihood that the user will engage in the specific activity for which the model has been trained to predict. The probability may be combined with a business value factor to produce a user intent score indicating the relative value of the user engaging in the specific activity.

Abstract: Stable transfer of a person from a wheelchair to another support facility, such as a bed or commode, utilizes a support bar having first and second legs depending vertically from respective ends of a transversely extending grip section. In a normal or exercise mode the lower ends of the bar legs can be selectively secured in respective sockets on opposite sides of the wheelchair with the grip section disposed horizontally in front of the wheelchair. In a transfer mode the bar is positioned with the lower end of the first leg removably engaging a bed or other support facility and the lower end of the second leg engaging to one of the wheelchair sockets such that the bar stably secures the wheelchair to the facility and the grip section can be grasped by a person transferring between the wheelchair and the support facility.

Abstract: A method is disclosed for requesting data in a cloud gaming system that includes a cloud storage system and a cloud compute system, each of which has a respective peripheral component interconnect express (PCIe) interface and a respective computer memory. The cloud gaming system includes a PCIe switch connected to both the PCIe interface of the cloud storage system and the PCIe interface of the cloud compute system. The PCIe switch exposes a doorbell register that is monitored by the cloud storage system. The cloud compute system writes to the doorbell register, which causes an interrupt to fire on the cloud storage system. The cloud storage system handles the interrupt, which directs the cloud storage system to read a message from a specified computer memory location. The message directs the cloud storage system to read requested data from a storage device accessible by the cloud storage system.

Abstract: A travel cover having a rigid top cap, a rigid bottom cap, and an elongated flexible enclosure extending between and bonded to said rigid top cap and said rigid bottom cap. The elongated enclosure is openable and closable to receive and retrieve contents. The travel cover has a longitudinally expanded mode for carrying contents and a collapsed mode for folding the enclosure into the rigid top cap and the rigid bottom cap to form a compact carrying case.

In certain implementations the coating can be applied to a household good where the coating leaves a substantially streak-free finish. Some embodiments pertain to protective films that can be removed from a coated household good without leaving residue.

Abstract: An infant bathing system has a sling for receiving the body of an infant and a tub into which the sling is installed. A second panel of the sling has a first end that is joined to a second end of a first panel. A third panel has leg holes for the infant and a first end that is joined to the second end of the first panel and to the first end of the second panel. A bar connected to the second end of the third panel is adapted to span the tub and to be installed in channels in the tub walls. In one use configuration, the second panel is positioned above the third panel and occludes the leg holes in the third panel. In another use configuration, the third panel is positioned above the second panel and allows use of the leg holes.

Further disclosed herein are embodiments of a connector system for releasably connecting together tubes, whereby the connector system includes at least one valve biased by a valve-biasing member disposed external to or outside of the fluid flow path.

Abstract: Techniques for handling data with different lifetime characteristics in stream-aware data storage systems. The data storage systems can include a file system that has a log-based architecture design, and can employ one or more solid state drives (SSDs) that provide log-based data storage, which can include a data log divided into a series of storage segments. The techniques can be employed in the data storage systems to control the placement of data in the respective segments of the data log based at least on the lifetime of the data, significantly reducing the processing overhead associated with performing garbage collection functions within the SSDs.

Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure provide methods and apparatuses for video encoding/decoding. An apparatus for video decoding includes processing circuitry that decodes prediction information for a current block in a current picture that is included in a coded video sequence. The prediction information indicates an intra prediction mode of the current block. The processing circuitry determines a position dependent prediction combination (PDPC) process according to the intra prediction mode of the current block indicated by the prediction information. Further, the processing circuitry reconstructs the current block based on the determined PDPC process. A same PDPC process is applied to intra prediction modes adjacent to diagonal intra prediction modes.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are “paraxanthine-BHB” compositions including a combination of: (1) paraxanthine; (2) a ketone body or ketone body precursor, such as beta-hydroxybutyrate (BHB) salt, BHB ester, BHB acid, acetoacetate salt, acetoacetate ester, acetoacetic acid, 1,3-butanediol, medium chain fatty acid, or ester of medium chain fatty acid; and (3) optionally a dietetically or pharmaceutically acceptable carrier. In some embodiments, the composition may include a short chain fatty acid or ester thereof in addition to or instead of the ketone body or ketone body precursor.
