  • Patent number: 12141432
Abstract: An occupant detection system and method may include a user interface and at least one sensor to determine if there is an occupant in the vehicle. In one embodiment, the system and method use capacitive sensing sensors embedded into a cushion and/or back of seats in a vehicle. The capacitive sensor sends a sense signal to a controller and the controller would recognize various conditions such as an empty seat or a seat occupied by a person or animal. It could also determine if there was a child seat in a position on a vehicle seat and if there is a child in the child seat.

  • Patent number: 12141039
Abstract: Techniques for providing a fencing scheme for cluster systems without inherent hardware fencing. Storage nodes in an HA cluster communicate with one another over communication paths implemented through a variety of mechanisms, including drives and network connections. Each storage node in the HA cluster executes a fencing enforcer component operable to enforce actions or processes for initiating fencing of itself and/or initiating self-fencing of another storage node in the HA cluster determined to be malfunctioning. By providing for richer communications between storage nodes in an HA cluster and a richer set of actions or processes for fencing a malfunctioning storage node including self-fencing, the malfunctioning storage node can be made to exit the HA cluster in a more controlled fashion. In addition, a remaining storage node in the HA cluster can more safely take on the role of primary storage node with reduced risk of data corruption on shared resources.

  • Patent number: 12142058
Abstract: Disclosed herein are system, method, and computer program product aspects for enabling an autonomous vehicle (AV) to detect objects and forecast their predicted positions. The system can monitor an object within a vicinity of the AV. A plurality of trajectories predicting paths the object will take at a future time can be generated, the plurality of trajectories being based on a generated three-dimensional (3D) point cloud map indicating current and past characteristics of the object. Using a learned model, a forecasted position of the object at an instance in time can be generated along one or more of the plurality of trajectories. A maneuver for the AV can be performed based on the forecasted position.

  • Patent number: 12142339
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to systems, methods, and computer readable media for implementing fault isolation in memory without incurring a die size penalty. For example, systems disclosed herein may involve identifying row addresses for sub-word line drivers accessing data from a memory block (e.g., a dynamic random-access memory (DRAM) block of memory). The systems disclosed herein may further serialize or otherwise compile bit rows into a prefetch bit including a pattern of bits. In generating the prefetch bit, the systems described herein may selectively group bits of data into respective regions that enable an error correction scheme to be applied to the pattern of data while minimizing a likelihood of uncorrectable errors within the prefetch bit.

  • Patent number: 12143477
Abstract: Methods and systems are disclosed herein for cryptographically secured transfer of an item. In some embodiments, the system may cause generation of multiple key shares of a private key from which a blockchain address on a blockchain is derived. The system may generate a cryptographic representation of a physical item to be transferred from the first user to the second user, the physical item corresponding to the first item. The system may cause a first amount of the first item to be transferred to the blockchain address. The system may obtain a candidate cryptographic representation from the second user. The system may generate, based on the candidate hash matching the hash of the feature vector representing the physical item, a signed message using a partial signature of the second user and another partial signature derived from the third key share.

  • Patent number: 12141587
Abstract: Generalized boot operations for disaggregated, multiple (multi-) semiconductor die (“die”) computing system, and related methods and computer-readable media are disclosed. In exemplary aspects, to provide for generalized boot-up firmware/software for the computing system that does not have to be reconfigured for different configurations of dies in variations of IC packages, a CPU die (or other die) designated as a primary die is configured to perform a discoverable boot process over a side-band discovery bus to discover the other dies present in an IC package of the computing system and to then control their boot-up operations. In this manner, the boot-up firmware/software executed by the primary die to boot-up the computing system can be generalized irrespective of the number of dies and their particular configuration. In this manner, a generalized boot-up firmware/software can be provided to control boot-up operations of the computing system independent of specific dies included.
