Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer program products for cloud-based adaptive configuration and control of a network device include, detecting an access by a user through the network device to a cloud-based service; and responsive to the detected access, configuring the network device to be controlled by the user via a cloud-based configuration controller. Further implementations include, receiving a configuration request from the network device, wherein the configuration request includes access information pertaining to an access made by a user to a cloud-based service; determining a cloud-based identity of the user based upon the received access information; associating the cloud-based identity with an ownership identifier; forming one or more instructions to configure the network device with the ownership identifier as an owner of the network device; and transmitting the one or more instructions to the network device.
Abstract: An implantable medical device having enhanced endothelial migration features, generally comprises: a structural member including a leading edge and a trailing edge interconnected by a third surface region, the leading edge including a second surface region in a generally curvilinear cross-section, and the trailing edge including a fourth surface region in a generally curvilinear cross-section, whereby blood flow over the second surface region generate shear stress at the second surface region without an eddy region in the second surface region.
Abstract: A wireless device receives a downlink control information (DCI). The DCI comprises: number of subframes field indicating a first number of subframes; a modulation and coding scheme field; a transmit power control field; and a listen before talk (LBT) field indicating timing information for performing an LBT procedure. The wireless device performs the LBT procedure for transmission in the first number of subframes based on the timing information. The wireless device determines a transmission power of each subframe in the first number of subframes based on a same closed loop adjustment factor and the transmit power control field. The wireless device transmits, in each subframe of the first number of subframes, employing the modulation and coding scheme field.
Abstract: A method of detecting at least a partial blockage in a porous member separating an inner chamber of a device having a gas sensor responsive to an analyte positioned within the inner chamber and an ambient environment includes emitting pressure waves within the inner chamber and measuring a response via a sensor responsive to pressure waves positioned within the inner chamber.

Abstract: Example embodiments of the brace assembly utilize an elastic cross strap attached to mounting facilities about a joint to provide progressive resistance to the extension, flexion or other movement of body parts about the joint. In some embodiments for a knee joint, the brace assembly provides a progressive resisting force to resist hyperextension of the knee. Some embodiments of the assembly may be able to accommodate different joints, different size wearer's of the assembly and different tension settings such as for athletes during competition. Some embodiments of the brace assembly may be used bilaterally and can be made without metal bracing to comply with the requirements of some sports. Some embodiments of the mounting facilities may have through holes.
Abstract: A dry granulation process using a twin-screw extruder for granulating a powder mixture which includes at least one active ingredient and at least one carrier. The process includes steps of kneading the powder mixture in the screw barrel of the twin-screw extruder at a barrel temperature below a melting point of the at least one active ingredient and a melting point or a glass transition temperature of the at least one carrier to provide a kneaded powder mixture, and extruding the kneaded powder mixture to form granules. Granules and tablets produced using the dry granulation process in the twin-screw extruder are also provided.

Abstract: A system includes a data owner interface, a database, a requester interface, an approver interface, a database interface, and a central controller. The data owner interface can provide protected data and data usage rules. The database can store the protected data. The requester interface can provide a request to access the protected data and receive sanitized results. The approver interface can provide approval or disapproval of access to the protected data and receive the data usage rules. The database interface can store the protected data in the database and provide access to the protected data.

Abstract: Described are technologies relating to transaction processing. In general, one aspect of the subject matter described herein can be embodied in methods that include the actions of calculating, in relation to a transaction, one or more tax amounts associated with a price of the transaction, obtaining, in relation to a payment source, an approval for at least the price of the transaction and the one or more tax amounts, thereby defining an approved sales transaction, and, subsequent to obtaining the approval, (a) settling at least a revenue portion of one or more approved sales transactions in favor of a first account, and (b) settling the one or more tax amounts in favor of a second account that is different than the first account.
Abstract: A system includes a bus, and a variable voltage converter (VVC) having a switch in series with a capacitor, and an inductor in parallel with the capacitor and switch, and configured such that operation of the switch in boost mode over a duty cycle range from 0 to less than 0.5 results in a corresponding voltage output to the bus from 0 to a maximum of the VVC.
Abstract: A dehumidifier includes an evaporator, a condenser, a fan, and a processor. In response to determining that a measured relative humidity is greater than or equal to a relative humidity set point, the processor sets the dehumidifier to a first operating mode, wherein a compressor is enabled and the fan is set to a first fan speed while in the first operating mode. The processor further determines whether the dehumidifier has been operating in the first operating mode for a predetermined amount of time, and in response, sets the dehumidifier to a second operating mode if the measured relative humidity is still greater than the relative humidity set point, wherein the compressor is enabled and the fan is set to a second fan speed while in the second operating mode. The second fan speed is greater than the first fan speed.

Abstract: The present invention relates to methods of detecting one or more targets of interest in a sample. In one instance, the target can be correlated to an active infection (e.g., by a virus and/or a bacterium). Methods can include treating the sample with a dissociation agent, thereby releasing the target of interest for more accurate detection (e.g., by use of a sedimentation-based centrifugal microfluidic devices). Also described herein are microfluidic devices and systems for use with a dissociation agent.

Abstract: The life cycle of one or more containers related to one or more containerized applications is managed by determining that a predefined retention time for a first container of the plurality of containers has elapsed; in response to the determining, performing the following honeypot container creation steps: suspending new session traffic to the first container; maintaining the first container as a honeypot container; and identifying communications sent to the honeypot container as an anomalous communication. Alert notifications are optionally generated for the anomalous communication.
