Abstract: A digital assistant supported across devices such as smartphones, tablets, personal computers, wearable computing devices, game consoles, and the like includes an end-to-end user experience client that interfaces with extensions to applications and/or remote cloud-based services so that user experiences, content, or features can be integrated with the digital assistant and rendered as a native digital assistant user experience. The digital assistant is configured to perform as an active participant in a user experience from its initiation to its conclusion (i.e., from “end-to-end”) by determining the user's intent, performing tasks and actions, providing status, and interacting with the user as needed. The digital assistant utilizes proximity sensing so that its end-to-end participation in a user experience may span different physical locations.

Abstract: A method in one embodiment comprises receiving as inputs a plurality of application programming interface (API) documents respectively configured as electronic files, analyzing the electronic files via a first classifier to determine whether one or more schema types are present in the electronic files, generating a first classification based on the schema types for the electronic files determined to include the schema types, analyzing the electronic files via a second classifier for the electronic files determined not to include the schema types, wherein the analyzing via the second classifier is performed using one or more predictive classifiers generated via one or more machine learning techniques, generating a second classification based on the predictive classifiers for the electronic files determined not to include the schema types, and outputting a plurality of classified API documents based on the first and second classifications.

Abstract: In one aspect, the present disclosure relates to a method that includes presenting a first user interface (UI) and a second UI on a mobile device. The first UI may include a map display and a control to compose a note. The method may include, in response to a user of the mobile device activating the control to compose the note, presenting a second UI including: an input to receive text for the note, one or more controls to select a picture for the note, and a control to save the note. The method may include, in response to the user activating the control to save the note: determining a location for the note using a geo-location sensor within the mobile device, sending the received text, the selected picture, and the location for the note to a server device, and displaying an indication of the note on the map display based on the location determined for the note.

Abstract: A system is disclosed that implements features for generating a user-specific content page. In one embodiment, the system includes an identity lifecycle management (ILM) system a platform as a service (PaaS) system, and an application system. The ILM system can store associations of a user with personas, and a list of features of applications, run the application system, associated with each persona. The PaaS system may retrieve data values of the features of the applications associated with the personas of the user from the application system to generate a user-specific content page for the user.

Abstract: An instrument includes a body, a shaft, and an end effector in communication with the shaft. The end effector includes opposing jaws, a staple cartridge, and a placement tip located at a distal end of one of the jaws. The placement tip includes first and second legs extending distally from one of the jaws. A void extends completely through the placement tip and separates the first and second legs. A distal portion connects the first and second legs. The distal portion has a first cross-sectional height that is greater than a second cross-sectional height of the first and second legs. The placement tip may include a body portion formed between an outer perimeter and an inner perimeter. The inner perimeter is defined by a void extending through the placement tip. At least a distal end of the body portion is bent towards the opposing jaw.

Abstract: A peripheral controller for an access control system according to one embodiment includes a reader interface, a Power over Ethernet circuit, a processor, and a memory. The reader interface is configured to be communicatively coupled to at least one credential reader. The Power over Ethernet (PoE) circuit is configured to receive power over an Ethernet cable for powering the peripheral controller. The memory includes a plurality of instructions stored thereon that, in response to execution by the processor, causes the peripheral controller to analyze credential data received via the reader interface make an access control decision based on the analyzed credential data.

Abstract: A primary copy and one or more shadow copies of a logical volume are created and discovered by a host rescan performed when the logical volume is initially created. Data storage resources are allocated to the primary copy, but not to the shadow copy. The initial path state of the logical volume describes the path to the primary copy as active, and the path to the shadow copy as unavailable for accessing the logical volume. Movement of the logical volume to the storage appliance providing the shadow copy can be performed without an additional host rescan, by making the shadow copy the new primary copy, making the primary copy a new shadow copy, and updating the path state of the logical volume to indicate i) that the path to the new primary copy is active, and ii) that the path to the new shadow copy is unavailable.

Abstract: An operating system for moving an item stored in a vehicle storage device is provided. The storage device includes a first storage container and a second storage container disposed in the storage device. The operating system comprises a first operating device connected to the first storage container; a second operating device connected to the second storage container; a user intention detecting device for detecting an intention of a user to take an item; and a controller. The controller is configured to receive an intention signal from the user intention detecting device and control one of the first and second operating devices based on the intention signal obtained to move the first or second storage containers to a use position which is easier for the user to take the item.

Abstract: A support belt assists caretaker in moving an ambulatory-impaired person. A strap has a plurality of attachment fixtures such as grommets that are longitudinally spaced and has a buckle for engaging the strap around a torso of an individual. The connector is engageable between a selected two of the attachment fixtures to draw one portion of the strap to closely encircle the ambulatory-impaired person and to form another portion of the strap into a grasping loop. A second support belt can be attached to the strap by two or more belt connector in order to double the portion of the torso encircled or to support buttocks or thigh of the ambulatory-impaired person.

Each polyolefin has a molecular weight, both of those molecular weights are greater than 1 million, and one molecular weight is greater than the other. Additionally, the intrinsic viscosity (IV) of the membrane may be greater than or equal to 6.3.

Abstract: Implementations of an airflow capture hood plate may include a plate including a plurality of openings therethrough. The plate may be configured to couple to a hood to guide airflow through the hood when the hood is placed over a diffuser of a heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system and the plurality of openings in the plate may be configured to align with a plurality of ribs of a grid in the hood.

Abstract: A method of automatically registering a surgical navigation system to a patient's anatomy is provided. The method comprises programming a surgical navigation system with a first spatial relationship between a surgical component and a reference array connected to the surgical component, programming the surgical navigation system with a second spatial relationship between an anatomical feature of a patient and the surgical component, installing the surgical component on the patient such that the surgical component engages the anatomical feature in the second spatial relationship, and locating the reference array with the surgical navigation system. The navigation system automatically recognizes the position of the reference array relative to the patient's anatomy.

Abstract: A metal microparticle coated with metal hydride nanoparticles is disclosed. Some variations provide a material comprising a plurality of microparticles (1 micron to 1 millimeter) containing a metal or metal alloy and coated with a plurality of nanoparticles (less than 1 micron) containing a metal hydride or metal alloy hydride. The invention eliminates non-uniform distribution of sintering aids by attaching them directly to the surface of the microparticles. No method is previously known to exist which can assemble nanoparticle metal hydrides onto the surface of a metal microparticle. Some variations provide a solid article comprising a material with a metal or metal alloy microparticles coated with metal hydride or metal alloy hydride nanoparticles, wherein the nanoparticles form continuous or periodic inclusions at or near grain boundaries within the microparticles.

Abstract: In particular embodiments, a data processing data inventory generation system is configured to: (1) generate a data model (e.g., a data inventory) for one or more data assets utilized by a particular organization; (2) generate a respective data inventory for each of the one or more data assets; and (3) map one or more relationships between one or more aspects of the data inventory, the one or more data assets, etc. within the data model. Abstract: To facilitate improved email and device security, embodiments of systems and methods include intercepting, by a processor associated with an entity, an internet request, where the internet request is produced by a link received in an email at a first computing device. The processor determines that the link is externally bound relative to an entity network. The processor determines an existence of a sandbox environment instance in a set of existing sandbox environment instances. The processor routes the link through the sandbox environment instance. The processor updates the sandbox log in the database based on the sandbox environment instance and the link. The processor causes to display on a screen of the first computing device a user interface for interacting with the link in the sandbox environment instance, and the processor logs activities associated with interacting with the link in a security log.

Abstract: Disclosed are hardware and techniques for testing computer processes in a network system by simulating computer process faults and identifying risk associated with correcting the simulated fault and identifying computer processes that may depend on the corrected computer process. The interdependent computer processes in a network may be determined by evaluating a risk matrix having a risk score and non-functional requirement score. An analysis of the risk score and non-functional requirement score accounts for interdependencies between computer processes and identified corrective actions that may be used to determine an optimal network environment. The optimal network environment may be updated dynamically based on changing computer process interdependencies and the determined risk and robustness scores.

Abstract: A method includes providing a first route for a delivery vehicle that is associated with a first deadline to reach a first location. The method also includes receiving a cargo delivery request. The method further includes determining a second route for the delivery vehicle that includes a stop at an automated warehouse. The method additionally includes determining, based on scheduling information for robots at the warehouse, a projected availability time for cargo that satisfies the cargo delivery request to be available for pickup at the warehouse. The method also includes determining that the delivery vehicle is expected to reach the first location by the first deadline after traveling on the second route and picking up the cargo from the warehouse. The method further includes providing the second route to the delivery vehicle and causing a robot at the warehouse to prepare the cargo for pickup at the warehouse.

Abstract: A photonic integrated circuit for coupling a laser from an optical assembly to a grating coupler is disclosed. A method for coupling a laser to a photonic integrated circuit is disclosed. The optical assembly includes an optical system disposed on a v-groove bench. The optical system typically includes a laser source, a coupling lens or lens system, an optional isolator, a beam redirector that includes a prism or other light turning element and a cylindrical tube mounted on the v-groove bench. The method of tuning the angle of incidence from the optical assembly to the grating coupler is also disclosed.
