  • Patent number: 10787631
Abstract: The invention combines chemical cleaning with mechanical cleaning. In case of large scale facilities, the invention allows cleaning from bottom to top which obviates the need for special arrangements such as confined space entry scaffolding and safety nets removal in order to reach higher or inner parts. The dual effect of the combined mechanical and chemical cleaning facilitates a surprising efficient removal of organic and inorganic sediments. The chemical cleaning is achieved by a reaction of cleaning chemicals with the organic matter such as: oils, greases, hydrocarbons, cellulose. The implementation of the invention permits use of non-toxic, non-hazardous, environmental friendly mixture of sodium carbonate and sodium bicarbonate. Typical particle size of the thin powder used according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention shall be between 20-100 ?m.

  • Patent number: 10788068
Abstract: An inner housing defines a pin retaining receptacle elongated in an X-direction with entry ramps extending parallel to the X-direction. The inner housing is slidably coupled to an outer housing and extends into an interior thereof. A plurality of centering blades extend into the interior and between the inner and outer housings to locate the pin retaining receptacle in a central position within the interior in a Y-direction prior to insertion of the pin into the pin retention receptacle. The centering blades are movable in the Y-direction to permit the pin retaining receptacle of the inner housing to move to a non-central position relative to the housing in the Y-direction as a result of the inner housing moving the centering blades in response to the pin engaging the entry ramps during insertion of the pin into the pin receiving receptacle. Associated methods are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 10788677
Abstract: A head-mounted device (HMD) comprises a display element, a Fresnel assembly, an illumination source, and a camera assembly. The display element outputs image light in a first band of light through a display surface. The optics block directs light from the display element to a target region (e.g., includes a portion of a user's face, eyes, etc.). The Fresnel assembly transmits light in the first band and directs light in a second band different than the first band to a first position. The source illuminates the target area with light in the second band. The camera is located in the first position and captures light in the second band corresponding to light reflected from the target area that is then reflected by the Fresnel assembly toward the camera. A controller may use the captured light to determine tracking information for areas of a user's face (e.g., eyes).

  • Patent number: 10789102
Abstract: Techniques for automated capacity management in computing systems are disclosed herein. In one embodiment, a method includes generating multiple time series models each representing predicted usage levels of the computing resource based on historical usage levels of the computing resource. The method can then include selecting, from the generated multiple time series models, one of the time series models that has a combined value of a forecast error and a forecast churn smaller than the other generated time series models. The method can further includes determining a future usage level of the computing resource in the computing system at the future time point using the selected one of the time series models and allocating and provisioning an amount of the computing resource in the computing system in accordance with the predicted future usage level of the computing resource at the future time point.

  • Patent number: 10787603
Abstract: The disclosure generally refers to compositions and methods for treating subterranean formations that improve the recovery of hydrocarbons from the subterranean formations. The compositions include positively and negatively charged nanoparticles suspended in a carrier fluid that is not a drilling fluid and is free of cement and foaming agents. The populations of nanoparticles may be of different sizes, different materials, and comprise different ratios. The composition may also include: surface-active agents, such as surfactants, polymers; detergents; crystal modifiers; stabilizers, or hydronium. In some embodiments, the surface-active agents may bind to the surface of the positively or negatively charged nanoparticles. A subterranean formation may then be injected with the composition.

The system and method suggest an advertisement to a user based on the type of content for which the user is advertising. For example, an advertisement may include a set of display criteria, and a set of creative content. The display criteria define a set of circumstances during which the advertisement may be displayed (e.g., a set of keywords that trigger the display of the advertisement). Advertisements that are particularly successful for a given set of display criteria are depersonalized and converted to templates. These templates may be provided during creation of new advertisements as suggested content.

  • Patent number: 10789594
Abstract: A method and system is provided for evaluating an application manufacturer's credibility to produce or maintain a mobile device application. The method includes gathering information about an application manufacturer, wherein the information includes at least one of: (i) publicly available information about the manufacture; (ii) private information provided by the manufacturer; and (iii) source code information for the application developed by the manufacturer. With the computer system, the gathered information is stored in a manufacturer profile, which includes a plurality of attributes of the manufacturer. The computer system uses the manufacturer profile to calculate a score for the manufacturer, which is then used to calculate an application risk score associated with applications produced or maintained by the manufacturer. The risk score reflects, at least in part, the credibility of the manufacturer to produce or maintain the mobile device application.

  • Patent number: 10791162
Abstract: Application layer throughput (ALT) shaping is provided for a streaming media session is provided. A request for a content segment is received. The receipt time of the request is recorded and the request is forwarded to a content server. A response message is received from the server. The receipt time of the response and a segment size is determined. An ALT for the current segment is determined based on the receipt times of the request and response messages and the segment size. The ALT rate is compared to a target ALT rate required for a desired session PBR. When the ALT rate is higher than the target ALT rate, the content response is held for a time period determined to lower the current ALT rate to the target ALT rate, and then released to the client device. Otherwise, the content response is promptly provided to the client device.
