Abstract: An aspect of the present invention relates to a method for dynamically constructing a pre-populated note template comprising receiving a context from a user and determining whether there are any note templates that match an initial criteria including the received context. A note template is then loaded based on the determination of matching note templates. If there are one or more sections in the loaded template, for each section in the loaded template, determine if there are any forms for the section that match the context. A pre-populated Note template is then loaded including any matching forms.
Abstract: An example augmented reality (AR) system can include a frame, a lens attached to the frame, and a plurality of cameras attached to the frame. The cameras can be configured to record a real-time image. Optionally, the real-time image can include a portion of a subject's body and/or one or more surgical instruments. Additionally, the AR system can include a plurality of inertial measurement units, where a respective inertial measurement unit is attached to each respective camera. Optionally, the AR system can be configured to display image data (e.g., medical image data) registered and superimposed on the real-time image as seen by the user of the AR system.
Abstract: A distributed radio access network (RAN) is provided. A selected wireless transceiver node(s) in a selected coverage cell receives a radio frequency (RF) test signal(s). The selected wireless transceiver node(s) determines an effective gain value based on a predefined characteristic of the RF test signal(s). The selected wireless transceiver node(s) communicates the effective gain value and other related parameters to a server apparatus in the distributed RAN. The server apparatus determines a common gain value for the selected wireless transceiver node(s) in the selected coverage cell based on the parameters. Accordingly, the selected wireless transceiver node(s) operates based on the common gain value.

Abstract: A near-eye display (NED) has an orientation detection device and a display block. The orientation detection device collects orientation data that describe an orientation of the NED. The display block has a display assembly, a focusing assembly, and a controller. The controller determines an orientation vector of the NED based in part on the orientation data and computes an angular difference between the orientation vector of the NED and a gravity vector. After comparing the angular difference to a threshold value, the controller generates multifocal instructions that adjusts the optical element to display an augmented scene at the selected image plane corresponding to the multifocal instructions.

Abstract: This invention provides a suture system and method that does not require knots. A locking suture includes a needle and a thread that is provided with a plurality of locking barbs. The needle is applied over an end of the thread by conventional systems. The exterior surface of the thread is covered with barbs. The barbs can be arranged in rows of at least one barb each, circumscribing the thread of the suture and are oriented so that they are uniformly feathered, being closed in the direction of the needle and open toward the terminal (posterior) end. The feathering provides for the barbs to lie flat when drawn through a membrane or other material, and the bias causes them to splay open when a tension towards the terminal/posterior end is exerted. This splaying creates a locking force.

Abstract: The present invention provides highly water soluble products derived from humin, as well as methods of obtaining such products. Humin is first blended with water and a nitrogen source, such as urea, under intense agitation and heating, in order to disperse the nitrogen source. Abstract: A fluid monitoring assembly for measuring the flow rate of a fluid includes a flexible conduit comprising a wall that defines a lumen through which the fluid passes.
