  • Patent number: 10783134
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided to implement a polling process for monitoring a system of interdependent hardware components. A shared aggregate state data structure comprising information of an aggregate state of the interdependent hardware components is maintained in a system memory. A poller loop process generates and utilizes two local instances in system memory of the shared aggregate state data structure, including a current state data structure and a previous state data structure. The current state data structure is utilized during a lock-free polling routine to store current aggregate state data of the interdependent hardware components, while other executing threads outside the poller loop process can access the shared aggregate state data structure. The shared aggregate state data structure is updated by performing a merge of state information contained in the shared aggregate state, current aggregate state, and previous aggregate state data structures.

  • Patent number: 10783232
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer programs are presented for remote management of self-encrypting managed devices (SEMDs) with embedded wireless authentication. One method includes providing a user interface to access a management server for managing users and devices. The SEMD is in wireless communication with the mobile device and is connection with the management server. Additionally, the management server checks user-authentication information of the user for unlocking access to the SEMD before is enabled to unlock the SEMD via mobile application of the mobile device. Further, the management server sends an unlock command to the mobile device based on the checking, the mobile device sending an unlock request to the SEMD via the wireless communication. The SEMD is configured to unlock the data channel to provide data access to encrypted storage in the SEMD.

  • Patent number: 10780349
Abstract: A rhythm-based video game (“game”) is disclosed. In the game, a player slashes blocks representing musical beats using a pair of energy blades resembling a lightsaber. A gaming console renders multiple digital objects, e.g., digital blocks, digital mines and digital obstacles, that are approaching a player in a virtual space. The gaming console also renders a digital representation of an instrument, e.g., a lightsaber (“digital saber”), using which the player slashes, cuts or otherwise interacts with the digital blocks to cause a digital collision between the digital saber and the digital blocks. The player can score by slashing the digital blocks, not hitting the digital mines and avoiding the digital obstacles. The game presents the player with a stream of approaching digital objects in synchronization with music, e.g., a song's beats, being played in the game. The pace at which the digital blocks approach the player increases with the beats.
