Abstract: In a system and method for replacing a vehicle wheel an electric motor with a drive shaft is concentrically connected to a first gear. The first gear may connect to a symmetrical bolt locking gear array having several bolt locking gears arranged such that each bolt locking gear rotates in the same direction that the first gear rotates. Each bolt locking gear may have a cylindrical hole at its center. The cylindrical hole may be outlined with an inner spiral thread, which connects to a set of power bolts that are outlined in an outer spiral thread which interlocks with the inner spiral thread. A power jack system having a plurality of extendable and collapsible bases is provided in the undercarriage of the vehicle to raise and lower the vehicle. Abstract: Methods and systems for configuring a main or security processor in a customer premises equipment (CPE) with an encrypted seed for password-of-the-day (PoTD) processing is described. A CPE includes a modem processor, a main processor, and a PoTD component included on the main processor. The main processor receives, via the modem processor from a user device, an access request to the CPE. In response to the access request, the PoTD component accesses an encrypted seed stored on the main processor, generates a PoTD from the encrypted seed, and provides an access response based on comparison of the generated PoTD with a PoTD provided via the user device. A security processor can be used in lieu of the main processor. The PoTD component is then included in the security processor and the encrypted seed is then stored on the security processor.

Abstract: The present document describes methods and systems for battery authentication. In aspects, the battery includes an identifier (ID) resistor integrated into the battery label and having at least one exposed resistor contact. The location of the resistor contact can be used for mechanical keying for identification of the battery. The ID resistor has a resistance value that corresponds to a type of the battery. To detect the ID resistor, a device can have electrical contacts (e.g., pogo pins) that are exposed in a battery housing and that electrically connect to the resistor contact(s) of the battery. The device can use a lookup table to identify the type of the battery based on the resistance value of the ID resistor. Such identification of the type of the battery enables authentication of the battery to the device and initiation of one or more functions based on whether the battery is valid.

Abstract: Novel tools and techniques are provided for implementing name-based routing through networks. In various embodiments, a broker manager in each of a plurality of networks may receive a subscription request for a network device from a client device, each device being locally accessible or disposed in an upstream or downstream network. The broker manager uses its client broker to communicate with a locally accessible client device, and uses its mediator broker (and, sometimes, an intermediate device(s)) to communicate with a locally accessible network device. The broker manager otherwise uses its messaging brokers to communicate with control channels of one or more networks. Once subscription with the network device has been established, any commands and responses between the client device and the network device may be routed over pub/sub channels via the broker managers and their brokers using name-based routing, without routing based on IP address of the network device.

Abstract: According to implementations of the subject matter described herein, a solution is provided for image codec. In the encoding solution, a coded representation of an objective image is obtained, and an objective function associated with a decoder is determined based on the coded representation. Further, a group of adjustments of a group of parameters are determined based on a comparison between a group of change degrees of the objective function with the group of parameters and a threshold degree, and the group of parameters in the coded representation are adjusted based on the group of adjustments so as to obtain an adjusted coded representation. Further, an objective bitstream of the objective image is obtained based on the adjusted coded representation. Thus, more efficient image encoding can be realized.

Abstract: A method of preventing aircraft from taking off with ground support equipment installed thereon by detecting the presence of ground support equipment installed on an aircraft using geo-fencing software to define a predetermined area or virtual perimeter around in which aircraft may be operating and using an electronic tracking tag with a positioning device to transmit the location of the tracking tag to a satellite and/or land-based receiver. The satellite and land-based receiver are able to transmit location information to a computer system that then generates an alert. The alert is then transmitted to the pilot or other crew member of the aircraft, the control tower and/or ground support crew or any other entity desired. At that point the person(s) receiving the alert are in a position to take remedial action.

Abstract: This disclosure relates to methods and systems for inhibiting precursor interactions during radical-enhanced atomic layer deposition. A substrate may be completely exposed to a precursor gas. Meanwhile, a gaseous radical species is directed through a shroud towards the substrate. The gaseous radical species flows through the shroud under sufficient flow and pressure conditions to substantially prevent the precursor gas from flowing into the shroud. The shroud can be alternately positioned over selected regions of the substrate to thereby alternately expose the selected regions of the substrate to the radical species and the precursor gas multiple times. A thin film of reaction product is formed in the selected regions of the substrate and not on undesired surfaces.

Abstract: Apparatus that enables non-penetrating sex between two users. Embodiments may be integrated into or attached to clothing worn by the first user. A tubular element (including, but not limited to, a male or female condom) may be installed either permanently or detachably; attachments at both the open and closed ends of the tubular element ensure that it will not penetrate the first user. Users may therefore enjoy many of the benefits of sex, including intimacy and mutual stimulation, without the risks inherent in penetration. Attachment for the open end may use for example an element that attaches to a base ring or flange at the open end. Illustrative attachments for the closed end include a loop into which the closed end is cinched, a notch or hole into which a button in the closed end is inserted, and a mechanism into which the closed end is inserted, folded, and secured.
