Abstract: An inverter power module cooling system for an electrified vehicle includes an inlet coupled to channels providing coolant from a heat exchanger in parallel to a plurality of power modules along a first edge of associated chips having one or more switches, and channels collecting coolant from a second edge of associated chips. An additional serpentine channel receives coolant from the inlet to cool an associated area of a thermally conductive capacitor pad. The system may include a base plate having channels on one side and providing coolant to one side of the power modules and the capacitor pad, and a channel plate secured to an opposite side of the base plate to provide coolant to an opposite of the power modules. Cover plates may be provided to seal the channels of the base plate and channel plate, or may be integrally formed by molding or additive manufacturing.

Abstract: Apparatus that enables non-penetrating sex between two users. Embodiments may be integrated into or attached to clothing worn by the first user. A tubular element (including, but not limited to, a male or female condom) may be installed either permanently or detachably; attachments at both the open and closed ends of the tubular element ensure that it will not penetrate the first user. Users may therefore enjoy many of the benefits of sex, including intimacy and mutual stimulation, without the risks inherent in penetration. Attachment for the open end may use for example an element that attaches to a base ring or flange at the open end. Illustrative attachments for the closed end include a loop into which the closed end is cinched, a notch or hole into which a button in the closed end is inserted, and a mechanism into which the closed end is inserted, folded, and secured.

Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure provide an optical system. The optical system includes a polarization controller that controls polarization states of light beams such that a polarization state of each light beam passing through the polarization controller has one of a first polarization state and a second polarization state. The optical system includes a beam splitter, a reflective polarizer, and one or more lenses between the beam splitter and the reflective polarizer. If a polarization state of a first light beam of the light beams that passes through the polarization controller has the first polarization state, the first light beam passes the one or more lenses only one time. If a polarization state of a second light beam of the light beams that passes through the polarization controller has the second polarization state, the second light beam passes the one or more lenses more than one time.

Abstract: The invention describes a core shell microcapsule wherein the capsule shell is an interfacial copolymer formed of a modified polysaccharide free radical cross-linked with a multifunctional (meth)acrylate. The polysaccharide is hydrophobically modified with an adduct containing at least one unsaturated bond. The modification imparts hydrophobic character to the polysaccharide to act as an emulsifier, driving the modified polysaccharide to an oil-water interface of an encapsulation emulsion described, and creates an active bonding site for free-radical polymerization between the polysaccharide and multifunctional (meth)acrylate, thereby forming a microcapsule shell surrounding the core material.
