Abstract: Embodiments of a fluid tank may comprise suction tube system that comprises a floating suction tube useful for filling or removing a fluid from the tank. Further in some embodiments, the tank system may be installed in a single port on the fluid tank. A buoyant portion of the suction tube can be constantly submerged in a desired portion of the fluid, allowing the desired fluid to be removed through the inlet port. A level indicator system may include a cable system connected between a biased level indicator that moves in conjunction with the movement of the buoyant portion to indicate the fluid level.

Abstract: A system and method are provided for increasing sensitivity of a collision avoidance system of a vehicle based on driver awareness state. In one embodiment, a determination is made regarding whether or not the driver is alert based on an output of a sensor in the vehicle, such as a driver-facing camera or a sensor that detects a state of the vehicle. If the driver is found not to be alert, a lower confidence level threshold is used by a collision avoidance system of the vehicle (e.g., to more aggressively apply automatic braking). Other embodiments are provided.

Abstract: A method including receiving a unique identifier for a user. The method also can include determining, using a wallet directory, a shared wallet associated with the unique identifier. The shared wallet can include identifying information for cards issued from multiple different issuers. The method additionally can include sending the identifying information for the cards to enable the user to select one of the cards for a first transaction at a first merchant. The method further can include obtaining information about a first selected card of the cards based on a selection from the user. The method additionally can include requesting a first payment authorization token for the first selected card from a wallet network system. The method further can include sending the first payment authorization token to enable the first merchant to process the first transaction using the first selected card. Abstract: The present invention relates to a multi-functional weight bar assembly including selectively repositionable handles to carry out various weight lifting exercises with a single bar. The weight bar may include an opening to accommodate the user's upper torso if desired during certain exercises allowing the weight to be positioned lower than normal. By moving the handles inwardly or outwardly along the weight bar or angling the handles as desired, various muscle groups can be targeted with a single weight bar assembly.

Abstract: A carbon dioxide (CO2) capture system and method for removing CO2 from an inlet gas including a first fluid stream inlet providing for the flow of a first fluid stream, such as an inlet gas containing CO2, and a second fluid stream inlet providing for the flow of a second fluid stream, such as steam, an outlet providing for the flow of a CO2 depleted stream from the CO2 capture system, an outlet providing for the flow of a CO2 stream from the CO2 capture system and a concentrator in fluid communication with the first fluid stream. The system further including a first contactor and a second contactor. Each of the first contactor and the second contactor defining therein a first fluidically-isolated, sorbent-integrated, fluid domain for flow of the first fluid stream and CO2 adsorption and a second fluidically-isolated fluid domain for flow of the second fluid stream to assist in desorption.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides an improved dynamic seal system for a vacuum processing system that has a vacuum chamber within a process module. A rotational wafer stage is positioned within the process module. A first fluid line is operatively connected to the rotational wafer stage. A first differential pump line is operatively connected to the rotational wafer stage. A dynamic seal surrounds the first fluid line and the first differential pump line. The differential pumping of the dynamic seal by the first differential pump line, drains the first fluid from the dynamic seal to outside the tilt housing allowing for the monitoring of the dynamic seal for the presence of the first fluid outside the process module.

Abstract: A system and method for reducing the amount of infiltrate entering a sewer system is provided. The system generally comprises a locking sleeve, hydrophilic gasket, and a locking mechanism, wherein a lateral porthole of said locking sleeve is surrounded by said hydrophilic gasket. The system is preferably installed at a lateral line connection point, wherein a hydrophilic gasket located around the lateral porthole creates the water barrier that prevents infiltrate from entering a newly refurbished host pipe through the hole cut to reestablish flow from the lateral line to the host pipe at the lateral line connection point.

Abstract: According to some embodiments, an event detection system is provided to detect sounds indicative of an urgent event and communicate to the user, through visual and/or haptic feedback, the existence of the event. In some embodiments, the event detection system can also communicate a classification for the event. In some embodiments, the classification can indicate a level of severity or danger to the user or another person. In some embodiments, the event detection system can include a user equipment (UE), an external visual feedback device, and/or an external haptic feedback device.

Abstract: The present document describes methods and systems for battery authentication. In aspects, the battery includes an identifier (ID) resistor integrated into the battery label and having at least one exposed resistor contact. The location of the resistor contact can be used for mechanical keying for identification of the battery. The ID resistor has a resistance value that corresponds to a type of the battery. To detect the ID resistor, a device can have electrical contacts (e.g., pogo pins) that are exposed in a battery housing and that electrically connect to the resistor contact(s) of the battery. The device can use a lookup table to identify the type of the battery based on the resistance value of the ID resistor. Such identification of the type of the battery enables authentication of the battery to the device and initiation of one or more functions based on whether the battery is valid.

Abstract: Novel tools and techniques are provided for implementing name-based routing through networks. In various embodiments, a broker manager in each of a plurality of networks may receive a subscription request for a network device from a client device, each device being locally accessible or disposed in an upstream or downstream network. The broker manager uses its client broker to communicate with a locally accessible client device, and uses its mediator broker (and, sometimes, an intermediate device(s)) to communicate with a locally accessible network device. The broker manager otherwise uses its messaging brokers to communicate with control channels of one or more networks. Once subscription with the network device has been established, any commands and responses between the client device and the network device may be routed over pub/sub channels via the broker managers and their brokers using name-based routing, without routing based on IP address of the network device.

Abstract: According to implementations of the subject matter described herein, a solution is provided for image codec. In the encoding solution, a coded representation of an objective image is obtained, and an objective function associated with a decoder is determined based on the coded representation. Further, a group of adjustments of a group of parameters are determined based on a comparison between a group of change degrees of the objective function with the group of parameters and a threshold degree, and the group of parameters in the coded representation are adjusted based on the group of adjustments so as to obtain an adjusted coded representation. Further, an objective bitstream of the objective image is obtained based on the adjusted coded representation. Thus, more efficient image encoding can be realized.

Abstract: A computing system is provided, which is configured to instantiate a testing environment, define an extract, transform, load (ETL) pipeline within the testing environment, generate a test data set to be inputted into the ETL pipeline, generate assert data predicting an output of the ETL pipeline based on the generated test data set, input the test data set into the ETL pipeline to generate output data, compare the assert data to the output data, and validate the output data using the assert data to generate validation data.

Abstract: A drain support block is configured to support a drain body during installation of a shower base, thereby easing problems commonly encountered when the drain body is misaligned, misoriented, or sagging during shower base installation. The drain support block may be cut to fit between floor joists with the supported drain body resting at any location between the joists, thereby allowing the support block to be rapidly resized for attachment between joists to situate the drain body at any desired location for the drain hole of the shower base. The support block also beneficially supports the bottom of the shower base about its drain hole, thereby deterring breakage of the shower base about the drain hole when shower users stand thereupon.

Abstract: An adjustable sports training system comprises a mounting infrastructure comprising a pair of angled arms and a cylindrical shaft, a goal structure fixed to the shaft's inferior portion, a pivot mechanism mounted to the shaft and configured to rotate the goal structure, and a computerized control system configured to remotely adjust the pivot mechanism.
