Publication number: 20240352353Abstract: Methods are provided to prepare a low sulfur fuel from hydrocarbon sources, such as light tight oil and high sulfur fuel oil, often less desired by conventional refiners, who split crude into a wide range of differing products and may prefer presence of wide ranges (C3 or C5 to C20 or higher) of hydrocarbons. These fuels can be produced by separating feeds into untreated and treated streams, and then recombining them. Such fuels can also be formulated by combinations of light, middle and heavy range constituents in a selected manner as claimed. Not only low in sulfur, the fuels of this invention are also low in nitrogen and essentially metals free. Fuel use applications include on-board large marine transport vessels but also on-shore for large land based combustion gas turbines, boilers, fired heaters and transport vehicles and trains.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 29, 2024Publication date: October 24, 2024Applicant: MAWETAL LLCInventors: Mohammed Wohaibi, Tom F. Publication number: 20240355465Abstract: During manufacture of a medical device, parameters if the device are measured, and results of that measurement are stored in a database. For example, parameters of an endoscope's image sensor may be measured and stored in the database. The medical device has a machine-readable serial number. A computer reads the serial number and records a reduction of an on-hand inventory of the medical devices. When the on-hand inventory warrants reordering to replenish the on-hand inventory. When warranted, the computer places an order with a supplier of medical devices of the class to replenish inventory. A computer controlling the medical device may read the database to obtain the measured properties. The obtained data may be used to calibrate or adjust the device's function.
