Abstract: A multiple graphics processing unit (GPU) based parallel graphics system comprising multiple graphics processing pipelines with multiple GPUs supporting a parallel graphics rendering process having an object division mode of operation. Each GPU comprises video memory, a geometry processing subsystem and a pixel processing subsystem. According to the principles of the present invention, pixel (color and z depth) data buffered in the video memory of each GPU is communicated to the video memory of a primary GPU, and the video memory and the pixel processing subsystem in the primary GPU are used to carry out the image recomposition process, without the need for dedicated or specialized apparatus.
Abstract: Light-sensor array systems for capturing multiple-color images and light-fields using array of wavelength-selective optoelectronic elements (rather than wider-range photosensors prefaced with visible-band wavelength-selective optical elements such as color selective filters) as light-field or image sensors are presented. The light-sensor array can be one or more of transparent, bendable, and implemented on a curved surface. In some embodiments, the wavelength-selective light-sensing opto-electronic elements are arranged in a stacked array. In some embodiments, more than three wavelength-selective ranges can be employed in each light-sensing pixel. The invention can be used to implement one or more of a lensless imaging light-field camera, tactile gesture user interface, and/or proximate gesture user interface. In some embodiments, the light-sensor array system can be configured to emit light of one or more colors, and thus can additionally serve as an image display.

Abstract: A system and method for the detection of one or more analytes in a collected sample employs capillary action in a sample card containing a sample substrate, at least one test capsule and an absorbent pad. The absorbent pad absorbs the contents of the test capsule and delivers the same to the sample substrate, with the contents of the test capsule chemically reacting with at least one detection reagent to establish an optical indicator for the analyte(s). The sample card can be automatically tested within a reader device, which records and processes an optical signal produced by the chemical reaction and outputs a test result. The collected sample can then be further analyzed using a second device. Additionally, an adhesive component can be provided so that a sample can be collected thereon. Furthermore, the at least one detection reagent can include a surfactant.

Abstract: An application process can be executed based on an initialization instruction, where the application process includes instructions associated with a hook framework. A virtual machine configured to load the hook framework on the virtual machine based on instructions included in the application process can be initiated and the instructions associated with the hook framework can be executed upon initiation of the virtual machine to insert a hook on the virtual machine. A nascent process configured to initiate an additional virtual machine can be initiated based on a request to load an application, where the additional virtual machine is hooked via the hook inserted on the virtual machine.

Abstract: Systems and methods here may be used for authorizing network access including using a controller with a processor and memory, the controller in communication with a first network for controlling access to the first network. From a user equipment having a user registered in a visitor network, an access request to access the first network is received, wherein the access request includes a MAC address of the user equipment. Based on a query performed in a subscriber repository, if the received MAC address is not found, a credential request is sent to the user equipment, and a credential is received from the user equipment. A single use code is generated, stored in the subscriber repository, and sent to the user equipment via a trusted channel. A new code and a new credential are received via the visitor network, and are compared. If the new code and the single use code match, the new credential is registered for re-use by the user equipment.

Abstract: A session manager is used to manage selection of a remote host for a session in response to a request that is associated with a user. The session manager uses resource information obtained from remote hosts in advance of the request to determine which remote host to associate with a session for a client. Each remote host performs a resource calculation (configurable) to determine how many processes/sessions it can further accommodate. The remote host sends the results of the resource calculation and other determined resource information to the session manager. The session manager provides the determined remote host to a client device. The client device then directly connects to the determined remote host. A process may be automatically started on the remote host for the client as the user. The session manager may also store and receive information for active and historical processes, remote host status, and remote host configuration.

Abstract: An annotation system for providing annotations for original images is provided. In some embodiments, the annotation system accesses an annotation associated with an object of a 3D model. The annotation system also accesses and displays an original image. The annotation system renders a model image of the 3D model based on the view from which the original image was collected. When the model image contains the annotated object, the annotation system provides an indication that an annotation is associated with the object of the original image. The annotation system can provide indications of the annotation for other original images that include the annotated object irrespective of the view from which the other original images are collected.
