Abstract: A method is disclosed for determining an angle of arrival of an incident plane wave received by an antenna array. The method includes receiving signals from a plurality of antenna receiving channels, determining a set of possible angles of arrival of the incident plane wave based on the signals received at the plurality of receiving channels, measuring a pulse delay of the incident plane wave between the signals received at the plurality of receiving channels, and calculating the angle of arrival of the incident plane wave based on the set of possible angles of arrival and the measured pulse delay.
Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to directing and tracking translation lookaside buffer (TLB) shootdowns within hardware. One or more processors, comprising one or more processor cores, may determine that a process executing on a processing core causes one or more virtual memory pages to become disassociated with one or more previously associated physical memory addresses. The processing core which is executing that process which caused the disassociation may generate a TLB shootdown request. The processing core may transmit the TLB shootdown request to the other cores. The TLB shootdown request may include identification information, a shootdown address indicating the disassociated virtual memory page or pages which need to be flushed from the respective TLBs of the other cores, and a notification address indicating where the other cores may acknowledge completion of the TLB shootdown request.

Abstract: A stalk roll assembly for header of a combine harvester. The assembly includes first and second stalk rolls spaced laterally with respect to one another and rotating in opposite directions. Each stalk roll includes a frusto-conical nose and a cylindrical body. The cylindrical body includes a plurality of radially extending flutes. The nose includes a pair of helical flights. The plurality of flutes includes at least one cutting flute having a straight edge and a plurality of puncturing flutes with teeth. The stalk rolls are laterally offset a distance that permits the tips of the flutes to laterally overlap and the teeth of the puncturing flutes are longitudinally offset so the tips of the teeth are received between with the valleys of the teeth of the other stalk roll.
Abstract: The subject disclosure is directed towards a background transfer service that provides platform-level support for third party applications to queue data transfers to run in the background, including when the application is not running in the foreground. Applications may thus perform downloading and uploading tasks in the background; however the background transfer service manages the data transfer requests so as to limit each background application's ability to interfere with foreground application operations, that is, by controlling resource usage according to one or more policies.

Abstract: A security appliance may incorporate a touch screen or similar input/output interface, providing command and control over network functionality and configuration, without requiring log in via a network from another computing device. During denial of service attacks, commands from the local interface may be given priority access to processing resources and memory, allowing mitigating actions to be taken, such as shutting down ports, blacklisting packet sources, or modifying filter rules. This may allow the security device to address attacks without having to be manually rebooted or disconnected from the network.

Abstract: According to one configuration, a base station controller monitors use of multiple wireless channels amongst multiple wireless base stations operating in a wireless network environment. In response to detecting under allocation of wireless channels between a first wireless base station and a first group of communication devices, the base station control allocates a supplemental wireless channel to the first wireless base station. In one embodiment, the base station controller de-allocates a wireless channel from a second wireless base station and assigns the de-allocated wireless channel to the first wireless base station as the supplemental wireless channel. The base station controller then transmits a channel allocation communication to the first wireless base station, the channel allocation communication indicating an identity of the supplemental wireless channel allocated for use by the first wireless base station.
Abstract: A fluid delivery device includes: a fluid-filled cartridge comprising an outlet; a syringe comprising a substantially cylindrical syringe barrel having an open end and a fluid dispensing end; and a plunger rod configured to be received within the open end of the syringe barrel. The plunger rod comprises: a first end having a sealing member provided in sealing engagement with an inner wall of the syringe barrel such that a first syringe chamber is provided between the first end of the plunger rod and the fluid dispensing end of the syringe barrel; a second end extending out of the open end of the syringe barrel and having a cartridge-receiving chamber having a connection mechanism positioned therein for connecting the outlet of the cartridge thereto. The plunger rod also includes a fluid channel extending from the connection mechanism to the first end of the plunger rod.
Abstract: Embodiments are directed to systems and apparatuses for providing power to remote electronic devices. In one scenario, a system is provided which includes a sconce body. The sconce body includes a proximal side that allows placement adjacent to a wall, ceiling or surface, a distal side having an exterior surface, a cavity that slidably receives and encloses a removable power source, and an electronic device on or within the sconce body. The electronic device electrically connects to and is powered by the removable power source. The removable power source of the system can be slidably received within and enclosed by the cavity of the sconce body. The system also includes a wand that is attachable to and detachable from the removable power source. The wand has a specified length and is configured to provide for selective attachment of the removable power source to and removal from the sconce body.

Abstract: An anchor for being embedded in concrete for attachment to a fastener to support a load comprises a plug having a main body portion extending upwardly from a base portion, the plug for being attached to a form board prior to pouring of concrete, the plug having an end portion disposed a distance from the form board; and an anchor body attached to the end portion. The plug is separable from the anchor body and removable from the concrete after the concrete is cured, leaving the anchor body embedded in the concrete, the plug providing a void in the concrete after removal to provide an access opening for a threaded portion of a fastener to attach to the anchor body.
Abstract: Provided is an apparatus and method for a digital power supply that can provide independent power control, and control variable power, for two or more electrical loads. Disclosed embodiments may reduce the magnitude of harmonic currents and/or flicker introduced into a power system. Embodiments include a microprocessor that delivers power to electric loads using phase-controlled AC current. The microprocessor may calculate a power array corresponding to a requested power for each electric load. Logic is provided for populating the power array in a pattern that reduces the magnitude of harmonic currents and flicker.
