Abstract: Systems and methods of machine learning for splice improvement. A system can receive, from one or more sensors, one or more values corresponding to manufacture of a tire by the one or more pieces of tire manufacturing equipment. The systems can determine one or more metrics based on the one or more values. The systems can generate a matrix based on the one or more values and the one or more metrics. The systems can predict, via input of the matrix into a machine learning model, a value for a splice tolerance metric. The systems can determine, based on the value for the splice tolerance metric, a parameter of at least one piece of equipment to adjust. The systems can provide a command to adjust the piece of equipment responsive to the value of the splice tolerance metric.

Abstract: Systems and methods for manipulating the temperature of a surface are described. Described embodiments include thermal adjustment devices that may include a heatsink and that are operated in two or more modes of operation to apply a desired temperature to a user. In one operating mode the thermal adjustment device may apply a first temperature to an underlying surface while generating heat at a rate faster than the heatsink's heat dissipation rate. The thermal adjustment device may then apply a second temperature to reduce the rate of heat generation to be less than the heatsink's heat dissipation rate. These modes of operation may be applied cyclically to permit continuous operation of the thermal adjustment device. In some embodiments, the temperature profile applied when changing between the modes of operation may be selected such that the user experiences either a reduced, or substantially, neutral thermal sensation.

Abstract: A pressurized push rod system and device for repairing pipe failures from inside the pipe is provided. In one embodiment, a pipe includes a first fitting and a second fitting allowing air to pass through the pipe and into an air bladder. The system includes a pressurized push rod device which attaches to an air bladder and an air compressor to inflate an air bladder within a pipe and thereby apply a patch to a failure within the pipe from inside the pipe.
Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for external quiesce of a core in a multi-core system. In some aspects, a method for external quiesce of a core in a multi-core system-on-chip (SoC), comprises, at control circuitry for the multi-core SoC, receiving an indication that a core in a multi-core SoC should be quiesced, determining that the core should be externally quiesced, and asserting an external quiesce request input into the core.
Abstract: The invention relates to environment protection, in particular, to a technology for neutralization of filtrates, which are formed in a layer of solid domestic and industrial wastes landfills (dumps) under the action of atmospheric precipitates, and more particularly, to purification, collection and destroy of the filtrates. The invention mitigates toxicity of said filtrates, which in the course of percolating through a wastes layer, excrete toxic substance(s) therefrom and/or are saturated by their decomposition products, which are subsequently be released to cause contamination of subsoil water and/or the environmental soil.
Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure involve systems, methods, for encoding a firewall ruleset into one or more bit arrays for fast determination of processing of a received communication packet by a firewall device associated with a network. Through this bitmap, a number of computation operations needed to determine a processing rule for a received packet is significantly reduced compared to the traditional approach of using a hash or a longest prefix match technique. Rather, determining a processing rule for a received packet may include determining a bit value within one or more arrays. In one implementation, a firewall rule may be encoded into a 64-bit array of bit values in which each bit of the array corresponds to a particular processing rule for a particular network address. The firewall rule may be encoded into a bitmap array of bit values by asserting a particular bit within the array.
