Abstract: A swing lag training device having a collar for reversible attachment to a shaft near a golf club head; an arm band for attachment above an elbow of an arm of a user; a spooling device attached to the arm band with a cord that connects the spooling device to an attachment port near the golf club head; the spooling device adapted to: 1) retract cord into the spooling device during a back swing; and 2) provide a set of audible sounds as cord is unwound as the golf club head is moved in a forward swing so that a user can train to concentrate the set of audible sounds in a late portion of in the forward swing and thus maintain swing lag during an early portion of the forward swing. The training device can be adapted for training to swing other implements beyond golf clubs.
Abstract: An articulating rotary cutting tool configured to articulate a distal cutting tip upon a trigger being operated. The trigger can be locked into various articulating positions. The velocity of rotation of a cutting bit is substantially constant in both articulating and non-articulating positions. An articulation joint is one of a hex ball joint or a flexible spring joint. A button is included to release a locking pressure holding the trigger in a locked position. The trigger may employ articulating sliding surfaces that provide constraint to a flexed head in both directions of articulation.
Abstract: Systems and methods for generating geographic data for map elements based on surfel data and motion data associated with a geographic region are disclosed. A computing system can obtain motion data indicative of movement of at least one object in a geographic region represented by a map. The computing system can additionally obtain surfel data indicative of one or more surface elements associated with a surface of a structure in the geographic region represented by the map. The computing system can identify an entrance of the structure based at least in part on a correlation of the surfel data and the motion data. The computing system can generate geographic data indicative of a geographic location of the entrance of the structure.

Abstract: Disclosed are biaxially oriented, multilayered films, wherein said films may include a core layer comprising linear, low-density polyethylene, and the core layer is optionally cavitated. Said films may further include a first skin layer on a first side of the core layer, and a second skin layer on a second side of the core layer, wherein the first skin layer and the second skin layer comprise thin layers of linear, low-density polyethylene of a same or different type. Further, said films may include an aqueous-based primer on an outer surface of the second skin layer, wherein the outer surface faces away from the core layer. Further still, said films may include a sealant coating layer on the first skin layer and a barrier coating layer on the second skin layer, wherein the sealant coating layer and the barrier coating layer are aqueous-based.
Abstract: A carrier for supporting a foldable picnic table at an undercarriage of a recreational vehicle includes parallel and spaced-apart left and right rail assemblies. The left rail assembly includes a left rail forming an upward-facing support surface configured to engage and support the table thereon, and front and rear mounting brackets spaced-apart along the left rail and upwardly-extending from the left rail. The front and rear mounting brackets of the left rail are configured to be secured to the undercarriage of the recreational vehicle. The horizontal distance between the front and rear mounting brackets and the vertical distance between each of the left and right mounting brackets and the left rail are adjustable. The right rail assembly is a mirror image of the left rail assembly.

Abstract: A large and highly diverse nanobody library was constructed and screened against multiple variants of SARS-COV-2 to find nanobodies with high sensitivity and specificity for the variants. Four rounds of positive selection against a panel of six diverse SARS-COV-2 variant RBDs was performed with our high-diversity. At least 59 of these nanobodies were found to work well against Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta, Kappa, Lambda and Mu with some overlap efficacy against other variants. These nanobodies have efficacy as stand-alone nanobodies and as a construct comprising nanobodies linked to the human IgG1 constant fragment (Fc) (nanobody-hFc constructions or nb-hFcs) to make enhanced humanized sdAbs with all the attributes of nanobodies with improved half-life and optimized effector functions. Several promising nanobodies that neutralize the original SARS-COV-2 and several of its variants have been identified, including Delta, with high efficacy. In particular, a subset of these nanobodies bind to the Omicron RBD.

Abstract: An autonomous vehicle including a vehicle propulsion system, a braking system, a steering system, and a computing system. The computing system includes a processor and memory that stores computer-executable instructions that cause the processor to select a route for a passenger of the autonomous vehicle for a trip to a destination. The route for the passenger is selected from a plurality of potential routes. The route for the passenger is selected based on a preference of the passenger and aggregate ride quality feedback from passengers of autonomous vehicles in a fleet at locations along the potential routes to the destination. The processor is further configured to control at least one of the vehicle propulsion system, the braking system, or the steering system to move the autonomous vehicle along the route as selected for the trip to the destination.

Abstract: Flow meters may include a body defining a fluid channel therein. At least one structure may be positioned within the fluid channel, and fixed relative to the body, that is shaped and positioned to produce a flow-induced vibration that varies according to a rate of fluid flow through the fluid channel. A method of measuring a fluid flow rate may include directing a fluid over a first structure located in a first channel, and producing a first flow-induced vibration that varies according to a rate of fluid flow in a first channel with the first structure. The method may further include measuring the vibration of a remote structure coupled to the first channel, and determining the rate of fluid flow in the first channel from the measured vibration.

Abstract: A thermal barrier component for an electrochemical cell according to various aspects of the present disclosure includes a functional material. The functional material includes at least one of a hydrate of a metal carbonate and a hydrate of a metal phosphate. The functional material is configured to release water vapor at a first temperature of greater than or equal to about 100° C. and decompose to release a gaseous fire retardant at a second temperature of greater than or equal to about 300° C. Another thermal barrier component according to various aspects of the present disclosure includes a hydrate and a fire retardant. The hydrate is configured to release water in an amount greater than or equal to about 1 kg at a first temperature of greater than or equal to about 100° C. The fire retardant is configured to decompose at a second temperature of greater than or equal to about 300° C.
Abstract: A method of decoding viewport bitstreams includes decoding first video content; transmitting, information about (i) a speed of a user's head movement while viewing the first video content and (ii) an available bandwidth; receiving a streaming bitstream that includes (i) a first coded video bitstream having a segment size defined for a viewport based on the available bandwidth and a head speed threshold corresponding to the speed of the user's head movement such that the segment size is inversely proportional to the speed of the user's head movement, the first coded video bitstream having a first resolution, and (ii) a second coded video bitstream having a second resolution corresponding to a background having a constant segment duration or size, the second resolution being lower than the first resolution; and rendering second video content using the first coded video bitstream and the second coded video bitstream.
Abstract: In a method, whether a sequence of pictures includes a flash picture is determined. The flash picture is associated with a scene change between (i) a first scene of a picture of the sequence of pictures and (ii) a second scene of a prior picture and a subsequent picture of the picture in the sequence of pictures. The scene change is determined based on a content change between the first scene and the second scene being larger than a threshold. An encoding process is performed on a current picture in the sequence of pictures in response to (i) the picture being determined as the flash picture and (ii) the picture being the current picture.
