Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for evaluating candidate output sequences using language model neural networks. In particular, an auto-regressive language model neural network is used to generate a candidate output sequence. The same auto-regressive language model neural network is used to evaluate the candidate output sequence to determine rating scores for each of one or more criteria. The rating score(s) are then used to determine whether to provide the candidate output sequence.

Abstract: Systems, devices, and methods are disclosed for generating an authenticity score for a creative work using digital image data of one or more creative works. A system receives, via a network, first digital image data of a first creative work. The system determines from the first digital image data, a first set of feature variables, each corresponding to a characteristic of the first creative work. The system determines, via an artificial intelligence model and with input including the first set of feature variables and a comparison dataset, an authenticity score for the first creative work. The artificial intelligence model generates, based on the portion of first feature variables of the first creative work that match corresponding portions of the comparison dataset, an output indicative of an authenticity score. The system communicates, via the network, an authenticity score of the first creative work to a client device.

Abstract: Various aspects of the subject technology relate to systems, methods, and machine-readable media for cross-platform programmable network communication. The method includes receiving, at a network toolchain, instructions for network hardware of a radio access network (RAN), the instructions comprising a domain specific language for the RAN. The method also includes determining through the network toolchain an architectural model for the network hardware, the architectural model comprising network patterns of the network hardware. The method also includes generating, by the network toolchain, translated instructions based on the instructions, the translated instructions comprising a configuration and control layer (CCL) code. The method also includes sending the CCL code to the network hardware. The method also includes executing the CCL code by the network hardware. The method also includes causing the network hardware to perform a network function based on execution of the CCL code.

Abstract: A method of joining at least two substrates includes welding the at least two substrates together with a multi-step welding process. The multi-step welding process includes: reducing a mismatch between the at least two substrates by melting on both sides of the at least two substrates to form a melted portion that does not overlap a joint line between the at least two substrates with a first welding step; and increasing melt volume and penetration depth of the melted portion between the at least two substrates with a second welding step.

Abstract: Methods of and system for growing and maintaining an optimized/ideal active yeast solution in the yeast tank and fermenter tank during the fermentation filling cycle are provided. A new yeast stage tank is used between the yeast tank and the fermenter tank allowing yeast to rapidly produce a huge amount of active young yeast cells for a fermenter during the filling period. A measurable and useful controlling factor, % DT/% Yeast by weight ratio (or “food” to yeast ratio), is used (e.g., % DT=glucose), which offers information on the health status of the yeast. The controlling factor is used to control the status of the yeast throughout the entire process.
Abstract: A management system for a multi-cell rechargeable energy storage system (RESS) is capable of wirelessly communicating with an unsecured third-party device. The management system includes a system controller that is in communication with cell monitoring units that are arranged to individually monitor the battery cells. Each cell monitoring unit includes a cell controller that is in communication with a sensor that is arranged to determine a parameter of a respective one of the battery cells of the RESS. Each of the cell controllers is configured to execute a secure wireless communication protocol, and is also configured to execute an open wireless communication protocol. The open wireless communication protocol is activated to enable non-proprietary wireless communication to a proximal third-party device in response to a trigger event.
Abstract: A method of sharing and synchronizing a plurality of electronically stored resources between a cloud file system and a client file system is provided. The method includes receiving one or more change events wherein each change event indicates an independent change to one or more electronically stored files in a first client file system, holding the received change events for a period of time, and determining whether any of the held change events are combinable with other held change events indicating one or more independent changes to one or more electronically stored files in one or more client file systems comprising the first client file system.

Abstract: A system is provided for simulating a cyberattack as a simulated cyberattack on a real industrial control facility that includes reals sensor devices. The system generates simulated sensor signals that are representative of sensor signals generated by a sensor of a real sensor device that is the target of the simulated cyberattack. The system injects the simulated sensor signals into the real sensor device so that the real sensor device generates an output based on the simulated sensor signals. The system monitors the response of a personnel of the industrial control facility. The system then generates an assessment of the response based on a target response. The system may rerun the simulated cyberattack based on the assessment.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are exemplary embodiments of improved separators for lead acid batteries, improved lead acid batteries incorporating the improved separators, and vehicles, devices, or systems incorporating the same. A lead acid battery separator is provided with a porous membrane with a plurality of ribs extending from a surface thereon. The plurality of ribs preferably includes both positive ribs and negative ribs having similar heights. The ribs are provided with a plurality of discontinuous peaks arranged such as to provide resilient support for the porous membrane in order to resist forces exerted by active material swelling and thus mitigate the effects of acid starvation associated with such swelling, and increasing the acid availability at the electrodes. A lead acid battery is further provided that incorporates the provided separator.
Abstract: A radiopaque processing medium comprising a plurality of radiopaque particles and a non-radiopaque processing medium. The plurality of radiopaque particles is added to the non-radiopaque processing medium to increase a bulk density of the processing medium thereby forming the radiopaque processing medium. The radiopaque processing medium allows excess process media to be located and characterized during X-ray inspection of an electronic device on which the radiopaque processing medium was used. The radiopaque processing medium may also be used to locate and identify flaws/defects of the electronic device based on the location of excess radiopaque processing medium. The radiopaque processing medium may also be used as an underfill material to reinforce electronic chips soldered to the electronic device.
