Abstract: Aspects as described herein are directed to providing an enhanced user experience for consuming content on a computing device. Secondary computing devices, such as handheld smartphones and tablet-style computers, may be identified by a primary computing device, such as a set-top box. The secondary computing devices may be configured to receive actionable instructions from the primary computing device. An actionable event associated with content being outputted to a user via the primary computing device may be determined and an actionable instruction may be transmitted to the secondary computing device in response to the determined actionable event.

Abstract: A version control system implemented on at least one server computer is provided, including: a database that stores a plurality of tasks, each task having one or more versions, each version of a given task having files that are associated thereto; a server process that manages versioning of the tasks; wherein responsive to a request to check-out a first version of the given task, the server process retrieves and serves files associated to the first version of the given task; wherein responsive to a request to check-in the previously checked-out first version of the given task, the server process generates a second version of the given task, and receives and stores files in association with the second version of the given task.
Abstract: An apparatus for attracting an animal to an area includes a housing, recordable memory media contained within the housing for storing a pre-recorded ultrasonic sound and a prerecorded audible sound. An audible sound emitter contained within the housing is also provided for emitting the prerecorded audible sound. Further, an ultrasonic sound emitter contained within the housing for emitting the prerecorded ultrasonic sound and second pre-recorded sounds that simulate first and second distinct sounds each made by a species of animal in the environment. A user interface to play back the audible and ultrasonic sounds simultaneously to produce a blended sound for attracting an animal. The apparatus may further include a first amplifier for amplifying the audible sound and a second amplifier for amplifying the ultrasonic sound. A low pass filter for filtering the audible sounds and a high pass filter for filtering the ultrasonic sounds may also be included.

Abstract: A data storage system may have a plurality of memory cells located in different data storage devices that are arranged into a plurality of logical namespaces with each logical namespace configured to be sequentially written and entirely erased as a single unit. An asymmetry strategy may be proactively created with the asymmetry module in response to data access activity to the logical namespaces by the asymmetry module. A new mode, as prescribed by the asymmetry strategy, is entered for at least one logical namespace in response to an operational trigger being met. The new mode changes a timing of at least one queued data access request to at least one logical namespace.

Abstract: A method (800) of training a text-to-speech (TTS) model (108) includes obtaining training data (150) including reference input text (104) that includes a sequence of characters, a sequence of reference audio features (402) representative of the sequence of characters, and a sequence of reference phone labels (502) representative of distinct speech sounds of the reference audio features. For each of a plurality of time steps, the method includes generating a corresponding predicted audio feature (120) based on a respective portion of the reference input text for the time step and generating, using a phone label mapping network (510), a corresponding predicted phone label (520) associated with the predicted audio feature. The method also includes aligning the predicted phone label with the reference phone label to determine a corresponding predicted phone label loss (622) and updating the TTS model based on the corresponding predicted phone label loss.

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for migrating a virtual machine (VM) having a virtual function that maps resources of an artificial intelligence (AI) accelerator to the VM. A driver for the AI accelerator can generate a checkpoint of VM processes that make calls to the AI accelerator, and can the checkpoint can include a list and configuration of resources mapped to the AI accelerator by the virtual function. The driver can also access the code, data, and memory of the AI accelerator to generate a checkpoint of the AI accelerator status. When the VM is migrated to a new host, then either, or both, of these checkpoint frames can be used to ensure that resuming the VM on a new host having appropriate AI accelerator resources, can be successful resumed on the new host. One or both checkpoint frames can be captured based upon an event, in anticipation of the need to migrate the VM.

Abstract: A control system for an engine comprising a turbocharger includes a cold light off catalyst (CLOC), a main catalyst, a CLOC valve, a first and second oxygen sensor, and a controller. The CLOC is positioned in a bypass passage around a turbine of the turbocharger. The CLOC valve selectively routes exhaust flow from the engine between the turbine and the CLOC. The first oxygen sensor is disposed between the CLOC valve and the CLOC. The second oxygen sensor is disposed between the CLOC and the main catalyst. A position of the CLOC valve is determined and a priority is assigned to one of the first and second signals of the oxygen sensors based on the position of the CLOC valve. An engine out lambda is determined based on the first and second signals and assigned priority. An engine parameter is commanded.

Abstract: An AV receives a delivery request made by a user. The AV navigates to the user's location. The AV's onboard controller determines that the AV has arrived at the location. The onboard controller then commands the AV's motor to pause motion. The onboard controller provides the user an access to a delivery assembly in the AV. The onboard controller or the delivery assembly detects, by using sensors in the delivery assembly, whether an item has been removed from or placed into the container. Subsequent to detecting that the item has been removed from or placed into the container, the onboard controller commands the AV's motor to resume motion. The onboard controller or delivery assembly may also control a movable element in the container to allow the user to load or unload the item from a safe spot or control a divider in the container to protect the user's privacy.
