Abstract: In one example, a method is provided that includes receiving lidar data obtained by a lidar device. The lidar data includes a plurality of data points indicative of locations of reflections from an environment of the vehicle. The method includes receiving images of portions of the environment captured by a camera at different times. The method also includes determining locations in the images that correspond to a data point of the plurality of data points. Additionally, the method includes determining feature descriptors for the locations of the images and comparing the feature descriptors to determine that sensor data associated with at least one of the lidar device, the camera, or a pose sensor is accurate or inaccurate.

Abstract: A cassette for attachment and use with an infusion pump apparatus. The cassette head having a low profile cassette head for attaching to the infusion pump apparatus and a flexible reservoir attached to the cassette head that can be filled with a fluid to be administered to a patient. The reservoir is enclosed in a flexible cover attached to the cassette. The flexibility of the cover and the reservoir inhibits the cassette head from disengaging from the infusion pump apparatus and allows the infusion pump apparatus to be primed by squeezing or pressing the cover and reservoir.

Abstract: The present disclosure describes an expandable splice configured for reinforcing a tube of a solar owner system, the splice including a top panel, a bottom panel, a first side panel, a second side panel, and at least one beveled corner panel, wherein the first and second side panels are connected to the top and bottom panels either directly or by the at least one beveled corner panel to form a channel therebetween.
Abstract: Systems and methods for delegating tasks for a task facilitation service include receiving a delegation indicator for a task and determining a communication policy for the task in response to receiving the delegation indicator. The communication policy generally inhibits communication between the task facilitation service and a member of the service. Generation of proposals for completing delegated tasks and prediction of missing task data are also facilitated by aspects of the task facilitation service.

Abstract: Examples of the present disclosure describe systems and methods for a bidirectional application programming interface (API) that enables operational action functionality in a one-way transfer (OWT) system. In examples, a data request is received at a first computing environment of an OWT system, where the data request is associated with a first unidirectional dataflow having a transaction identifier. A first set of policies associated with the first computing environment is applied to the data request and the data request is transferred to a second computing environment of the OWT system. The second computing environment retrieves response data for the data request, where the response data is associated with a second unidirectional dataflow having the transaction identifier. A second set of policies associated with the second computing environment is applied to the response data and the response data is transferred to the first computing environment to fulfill the data request.

Abstract: Methods, apparatus, computing devices, computing entities, and/or the like associated with a robotic sortation system are provided. An example method may include receiving imaging data associated with a first item at a first sorting location of a material handling system, determining a sorting destination for the first item based at least in part on the imaging data, determining a plurality of first-tier robotic devices and a plurality of second-tier robotic devices based at least in part on the first sorting location and the sorting destination, and generating a first sortation scheme for the first item.

Abstract: Scintillating plastics resistant to crazing and fogging, methods of making and using the same are disclosed. The scintillating plastics include: one or more primary polymers present in an amount ranging from about 40 wt % to about 95 wt %; one or more secondary polymers present in an amount ranging from about 1 wt % to about 60 wt %; and one or more fluors present in an amount ranging from about 0.1 wt % to about 50 wt %. Methods of making such plastics include: creating a homogenous mixture of precursor materials including primary polymer, secondary polymer, and fluor in the amounts set forth above; and polymerizing the homogenous mixture. Methods of using such plastics include: exposing the scintillating plastic to one or more extreme environmental conditions for a predetermined amount of time without generating crazing or fogging within the scintillating plastic. Various additional features and specific embodiments of these inventive concepts are also disclosed.

Abstract: Virtual memory space may be saved in a clone environment by leveraging the similarity of the data signatures in swap files when a chain of virtual machines (VMs) includes clones spawned from a common parent and executing common applications. Deduplication is performed across the chain, rather than merely within each VM. Examples include generating a common deduplication identifier (ID) for the chain; generating a logical addressing table linked to the deduplication ID, for each of the VMs in the chain; and generating a hash table for the chain. Examples further include, based at least on a swap out request, generating a hash value for a block of memory to be written to a storage medium; and based at least on finding the hash value within the hash table, updating the logical addressing table to indicate a location of a prior-existing duplicate of the block on the storage medium.
Abstract: The invention includes a method of evaluating a bovine embryo by fertilizing an egg obtained from a first bovine heterozygote of a recessive lethal haplotype with sperm cells obtained from a second bovine heterozygote of the recessive lethal haplotype; producing the embryo from the fertilized egg, wherein the embryo is homozygous for the lethal haplotype; establishing a cell culture from the embryo; collecting a plurality of cultured cells; and obtaining omics data, comprising one or more features, from the plurality of cultured cells.
Abstract: A graph-based data storage and retrieval system in which multiple subgraphs representing respective datasets in different namespaces are interconnected via a linking or “canonical” layer. Datasets represented by subgraphs in different namespaces may pertain to a particular information domain (e.g., the health care domain), and may include heterogeneous datasets. The canonical layer provides for a substantial reduction of graph complexity required to interconnect corresponding nodes in different subgraphs, which in turn offers advantages as the number of subgraphs (and the number of corresponding nodes in different subgraphs) increases for the particular domain(s) of interest.

Abstract: In some embodiments, an archery bow comprises a limb assembly comprising a first limb and a second limb, the second limb comprising limb threads. An axle assembly is supported by the first limb and the second limb. The axle assembly comprises an axle comprising axle threads. A first connection between the axle assembly and the first limb comprises a fixed connection. A second connection between the axle assembly and the second limb comprises the limb threads engaged with the axle threads. Rotation of the axle with respect to the limb assembly adjusts a distance between the first limb and the second limb.
Abstract: A device can include a body including a sensor and an accelerometer. The sensor can detect contact with the body. The accelerometer can detect a movement of the body. The device can also include at least one processor. The at least one processor can determine an action corresponding to the movement of the body. The action can include at least one of a thermal effect, a production of light, or a transmission of power. The at least one processor can also cause the device to perform the action.
Abstract: Techniques for context-based display of content and alert based on distance on a multi-display system are described. For instance, the described techniques can be implemented to determine a device context based on one or more of a first instance of media content displayed on a first display device positioned at a first surface of a client device or an environment in which the client device is positioned. Based on the device context, the described techniques enable output of a second instance of media content via a second display device positioned at a second surface of the client device.
Abstract: A boat chair cover comprises longitudinally successive seat and backrest cover sections of towel-like material having respective compartments that are expandable to receive and resiliently engage a cushioned seat and cushioned backrests, respectively, of the boat chair. Mutually engageable strap segments extend transversely from opposite longitudinal edges of the cover for securing the cover about the backrest of the chair.
