Abstract: A plurality of resource pools and/or a plurality of transmission and/or reception points may be used in wireless communications. Different pathloss references may be used for different resource pools and/or different transmission and/or reception points. A wireless device may receive one or more messages indicating a plurality of power control parameter sets each associated with a respective resource pool and/or a respective transmission and/or reception point. The wireless device may control a transmission power based on a pathloss reference associated with a resource pool and/or a transmission and/or reception point.

Abstract: Methods, systems and computer program products are provided for touch detection of computing device position. A touch filter monitor signals generated by one or more touch input devices for a signature of one or more other input devices proximate to the touch input device, which may indicate a user physically manipulated the computing device to render the input device(s) inoperable, such as by closing a portable computer. The touch filter controls the computing device to enter or remain in a power saving mode based on detection of one or more signatures of one or more other input devices in a signal generated by the monitored touch input device(s).
Abstract: Techniques and apparatus for providing power monitoring processes are described. In one embodiment, for example, an apparatus may include at least one storage device and logic coupled to the at least one storage device. The logic may be configured to poll a power device comprising a plurality of power elements via an alarm status identifier operative to cause the power device to return an alarm status string comprising a plurality of alarm status bits, each of the plurality of alarm status bits indicating an active alarm state of one of the plurality of power elements, and determine each of the plurality of power elements in the active alarm state based on the alarm status string. Abstract: System, process and device configurations are provided for game environment customized generation of gaming music. A method can include detecting a gameplay location for a game environment of an electronic game and at least one environmental parameter for the gameplay location. Gaming music based may be updated based on the at least one environmental parameter to account for one or more of proximity to gaming objects and landscape descriptions for openness and enclosed spaces. Gameplay locations may be detected based on a mapping of the game environment for two-dimensional (2D) and three-dimensional (3D) mapping. Gaming music may be updated to adjust parameters for generating the gaming music based on emotional impact data of the location and direction of one or more objects in the gameplay location relative to a user character. Coordination of music and game environments may provide an immersive and intuitive sense of objects.
Abstract: It is desirable to prevent the unintended generation of electricity by permanent magnet motors in a submersible pumping system used to recover fluids from a wellbore. A pumping system designed to prevent the unintended generation of electricity includes a pump intake that provides a path for the wellbore fluids to enter the pump. The pumping system further includes a flow control valve assembly connected to the pump. The flow control valve assembly has a sliding sleeve and a valve control mechanism that moves the sliding sleeve between open and closed positions on the intake of the pump.
Abstract: A first communication device includes a processor that receives a data signal from a second communication device. The processor converts the data signal to a bit stream at a physical layer of a network architecture and executes a frame level inspection of the bit stream at a datalink layer for a defined signature. The processor detects the defined signature associated with a first data packet in a frame based on the executed frame level inspection of the bit stream at the datalink layer, where the defined signature associated with the first data packet is a unique indicator. An event is triggered in a communication network at the datalink layer irrespective of an involvement of an application layer of the network architecture at the first communication device based on the detected defined signature associated with the first data packet.
Abstract: A method of manufacturing an electronic device includes providing a work piece comprising a first material, a first side, a second side opposite to the first side, and a first CTE. The method includes providing recesses extending into the work piece from the first side and comprising a pattern. The method includes providing a second material comprising a second CTE within the recesses and over the first material between the recesses. The method includes providing a third material comprising a third CTE over one of the second side or the second material. The third CTE and the second CTE are different than the first CTE.
Abstract: A memory device includes a lower source-level semiconductor layer, a source contact layer, an upper source-level semiconductor layer, and an alternating stack of insulating layers and electrically conductive layers, and a memory opening fill structure vertically extending through the alternating stack and down to an upper portion of the lower source-level semiconductor layer. The memory opening fill structure includes a vertical semiconductor channel, a memory film laterally surrounding the vertical semiconductor channel, and an annular semiconductor cap contacting a bottom surface of the memory film and contacting a top surface segment of the source contact layer. The annular semiconductor cap may be employed as an etch stop structure during a manufacturing process.

Abstract: A vehicle includes a front pillar and a rear pillar spaced along a vehicle-longitudinal axis. The front pillar and the rear pillar define a door opening therebetween. Abstract: A method for streaming scene-based media assets during a media streaming session performed by a computing device is provided. The method includes providing a bi-directional interface for communicating information about scene-based media assets between a network server and the computing device acting as a client device; and providing, to the network server via the interface, client device attributes and corresponding information related to availability of client device resources when requested, wherein the client device attributes and the information are used by the computing device for rendering the scene-based media assets. For example, the computing device receives a request from the network server and then determines whether the requested scene-based media assets is to be streamed from the network server or not by accessing a list of locally stored, previously streamed scene-based media assets.
Abstract: A vehicle steering assembly includes a steering column mounting bracket configured to support a steering column and a vehicle body mounting bracket for attachment to the vehicle body. The assembly further includes an apparatus for mounting the steering column in the vehicle. The apparatus includes a body defining a first interface configured to receive a first plurality of fasteners coupling the steering column mounting bracket to the body in a fixed position and side brackets coupled to each side of the body in a manner permitting translational movement of the body relative to the side brackets along a first axis and rotational movement of the body relative to the side brackets about a second axis. The side brackets define a second interface configured to receive a second plurality of fasteners coupling the vehicle body mounting bracket to the side brackets.

Abstract: A method and system for traffic management of transpositional modulation fortified communications includes at least one transpositional modulation (TM) channel having a TM signal with a quantity of data. The at least one TM channel with TM signal does not exceed a spectral mask of an original carrier of an RF channel.
