Abstract: A database system is operable to determine a request to implement a K Nearest Neighbors (KNN) algorithm to generate classification data for a set of new records. A query operator execution flow is determined for the request that includes a KNN-join operator. A query resultant that indicates classification data for the set of new records is generated by performing a plurality of operator executions in accordance with the query operator execution flow based on, for each record of the set of new records, generating a plurality of similarity measures by performing a similarity function on the each record and each of a set of previously-classified records; identifying a proper subset of the set of previously-classified records that includes exactly a predefined number of records; and joining the each record with the proper subset of the set of previously-classified records.

Abstract: Methods, systems and apparatus for simulating a physical system described by an electronic structure Hamiltonian expressed in an orthonormal basis. In one aspect, a method includes decomposing the electronic structure Hamiltonian into a sum of sub-Hamiltonians, wherein each sub-Hamiltonian in the sum of sub-Hamiltonians is expressed in one of multiple bases; simulating evolution of the physical system using the decomposed electronic structure Hamiltonian; and using the simulated evolution of the physical system using the decomposed electronic structure Hamiltonian to determine properties of the physical system.
Abstract: An active material component of a composition for forming an electrode of a battery in a dry process is provided. The active material component includes a dry powder including a plurality of grains of an active material. The active material component further includes an electrically conductive filler material attached to each of the plurality of grains.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are visualization systems, methods, devices and database configurations related to the real-time depiction, in 2 D and 3 D on monitor panels as well as via 3 D holographic visualization, of the internal workings of patient surgery, such as patient intervention site posture as well as the positioning, in some cases real time positioning, of an object foreign to the patient.
Abstract: Methods and systems generating real-time notifications of software application importance based on current processing requirements. The method includes receiving a first dataset, wherein the first dataset comprises recovery time estimates for processing requirements. The method includes receiving a second dataset, wherein the second dataset comprises second recovery time estimates for applications. The method includes receiving a third dataset, wherein the third dataset comprises dependencies between processing requirements and applications. The method determines many-to-many relationships between the processing requirements and applications based on the dependencies. The method inputs the many-to-many relationships into a machine learning model to identify importance metrics for each application. The method generates, for display on a user interface, a ranking of the applications in order of importance metric.

Abstract: A method for reconciling data includes separating a first table into a plurality of first chunks, each first chunk including a plurality of first rows, and second table into a plurality of second chunks, each second chunk including a plurality of second rows. Each second chunk corresponds a first chunk. For each first chunk, the method includes: computing a first hash based on the first chunk and a second hash based on a second chunk corresponding to the first chunk; comparing the first hash with the second hash; in response to the first hash being different from the second hash, retrieving the plurality of first rows and the plurality of second rows and comparing the plurality of first rows to the plurality of second rows; in response to the first rows being different from the second rows, generating executable code configured to reconcile the first table with the second table.
Abstract: A semiconductor device that includes an epitaxial layer having a first-type dopant, a first well having a second-type dopant, a base layer having the second-type dopant, a first metal layer comprising a first base terminal and an inner conductor, and a first via connecting the first base terminal to the first well. The base layer is formed within the epitaxial layer and in contact with the first well and at least one dielectric separates the inner conductor from the first base terminal, and the base layer.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for multimodal input collection. More particularly, the present disclosure relates to efficient and intuitive multimodal input collection for mobile devices. As an example, a mobile computing system (e.g., a smartphone, a tablet, a wearable device, etc.) can display a lock screen interface at a display device associated with the mobile computing system (e.g., an initial interface that requests interaction and/or authentication from the user before granting access to applications, etc.).

Abstract: A brake pipe pressure monitoring system evaluates the flow of pressure in the brake pipe and alerts the train driver when the brake pipe flow indicates a brake system failure. The system has a brake pipe pressure module coupled to computer controlled brake as well as to a brake pipe pressure transducer, a main reservoir pressure transducer, and a flow transducer that determines the amount of pressure flow from the main reservoir to the brake pipe. The brake pipe pressure module is programmed to calculated and track the flow in the brake pipe over time and to determine whether the flow in the brake pipe over time exceeds a predetermined threshold. In the even that flow exceeds the predetermined threshold, the computer controlled brake is signaled to alert the train driver of the failure condition.
Abstract: Implementations are described herein for identifying related source code edits to perform, or to aid in the performance of, various programming tasks. In various implementations, a first edit made to a first source code snippet in a source code editor may be detected. Based on the first edit, a second source code edit to be made to a second source code snippet may be identified. The identifying may include: traversing one or more graphs to determine one or more edge sequences between nodes corresponding to the first and second source code snippets, comparing the one or more edge sequences to a plurality of reference edge sequences between nodes corresponding to historical co-occurrences of the first and second code edits, and identifying the second edit based on the comparing. The source code editor may provide output that includes a recommendation to implement the second edit.
Abstract: A shipping vessel including a train for executing underwater travel is disclosed. The train is formed by a plurality of segments hingedly coupled to one another in a series. Each segment includes one or more variable ballast tanks and one or more hydrodynamic features. The shipping vessel includes a control system configured to cause the one or more variable ballast tanks of the plurality of segments to be selectively filled with and expelled of a fluid to correspondingly change buoyancies of the plurality of segments. The control system is configured to control the one or more hydrodynamic features in each segment to translate an underwater downward acceleration and the underwater upward acceleration into a desired direction as at least one of pitch and yaw. Thus, executing a glide maneuver to glide up and down underwater among the train of the plurality of segments and along a glide path.
