Abstract: A system and method for determining the proper dynamic strain profile of an elastomeric construct. The strain characteristics of a deficient heart are determined and compared to the normal strain characteristics of a healthy heart. A construct having elastomeric elements is provided that can expand along multiple axes. In an unloaded condition remote from the deficient heart, the elastomeric elements are pressurized to determine the pressure differential being experienced. Furthermore, optimal strain characteristics are calculated along a first axis and a second axis as a function of the pressure differential. The first optimal strain characteristic and the second optimal strain characteristic are used to estimate the dynamic strain characteristics that will be applied to the heart. The dynamic strain characteristics are compared to the optimal strain characteristics required by the heart to determine if the construct is proper using an automated drive.
Abstract: A control system that controls speed of an internal combustion engine (ICE) in a series hybrid vehicle includes an accelerator pedal, a vehicle speed sensor and a controller. The accelerator pedal sends a torque request signal. The vehicle speed sensor sends a vehicle speed signal. The controller receives the torque request signal and the vehicle speed signal. The controller is configured to calculate, based on the torque request and vehicle speed signals, a driver power request; calculate engine power limits including (i) a maximum engine power that includes the driver power request plus an upper offset; and (ii) a minimum engine power that includes the driver power request minus a lower offset; select a most efficient engine operating point between the maximum and minimum power; and control the ICE to operate at the most efficient engine operating point.

Abstract: Methods and systems for existing software applications to automatically take advantage of multicore computer systems outside of the conventional simultaneous processing of multiple applications and without performance problems from cache misses and mismatched task processing times are presented. Unlike other multicore optimization techniques, the present invention uses techniques that are applied to design graphs and work for scaled and standard speedup-based parallel processing. The methods and systems optimize software designs that are attached to code for maximum performance on multicore computer hardware by analyzing and modifying loop structures to produce a general parallel solution, not just simple loop unrolling.
Abstract: Systems and methods for generation and traversal of a skill representation graph using machine learning is provided. The system includes a computing device configured to receive a plurality of data of a plurality of individuals including individual skill levels corresponding to a common skill of a plurality of common skills. The computing device determines a relative skill level of the plurality of individuals from the plurality of data and generate a skill representation graph representing a plurality of skill interrelations. Generating the graph further includes generating a plurality of nodes representing a skill, generating a plurality of interconnections representing a process and/or path to master a subsequent skill of a first skill, generating the plurality of interrelations as a function of at least the plurality of data and a machine-learning model, and assembling the graph. The system finally includes a user device configured to display the skill representation graph.
Abstract: The disclosed technology is generally directed to a distributed query-and-command system. In one example of the technology, in a trusted execution environment (TEE) of a first node, database code of the first node and distributed ledger code of the first node is executed, such that execution of the distributed ledger code of the first node instantiates a first instance of a distributed ledger of a consortium blockchain, and such that execution of the query-and-command code of the first node instantiates a first instance of a query-and-command system. The consortium blockchain is distributed among a plurality of nodes, and the query-and-command system is distributed among the plurality of nodes. A first transaction that is associated with modifying the query-and-command system is received. The first transaction is executed. Changes associated with the first transaction to the distributed ledger are persisted.

For instance, the registration system may retrieve the encrypted or decrypted data blob from the intermediate cloud storage by providing a requisite secret to the intermediate cloud storage. The requisite secret may be provided to the registration system by the user device (e.g., via a matrix barcode, such as a QR code).

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for electronic rack level testing and/or verification are disclosed. The disclosed systems may provide for automated testing of electronic racks that may include fluid recirculation systems. To provide for automated testing, a test unit of a system may automatically and without manual intervention circulate coolant to an electronic rack under test. The testing unit may also pressurize the electronic rack. The testing unit may further depressurize the electronic rack to provide for efficient delivering, deployment commissioning, and reduce the likelihood of coolant circulation issues occurring when initially deployed. A testing server of the system may also provide for load testing and thermal cycling of the electronic rack in an automated manner.
Abstract: Disclosed is a method for automatically detecting an introduction/opening song within a multimedia file. The method includes designating sequential blocks of time in the multimedia file as scene(s) and detecting certain feature(s) associated with each scene. The extracted scene feature(s) may be analyzed and used to assign a probability to each scene that the scene is part of the introduction/opening song. The probabilities may be used to classify each scene as either correlating to or not correlating to, the introduction/opening song. The temporal location of the opening song may be saved as index data associated with the multimedia file.
