Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for preserving user privacy when selecting content are described. In some aspects, a method includes receiving a data element identifying a set of candidate digital components and, for each candidate digital component, a set of distribution parameters for the candidate digital component. For each candidate digital component, encrypted selection data for the candidate digital component is provided as input to a cryptographic analysis application running in a trusted hardware module of a client device. The encrypted selection data represents the set of distribution parameters for the candidate digital component and is encrypted using a zero-knowledge proof protocol. The cryptographic analysis application is configured to determine a measure of match between the selection data and user attributes of a user of the client device.
Abstract: A mouthpiece with a flavored attachment is provided. The flavored attachment fits into a recess on an exterior of the mouthpiece and has projecting portions that extend outward from the attachment. The mouthpiece has a guard that retains the flavored attachment in place. The guard has openings that allow the projecting portions of the flavored attachment to extend through the openings of the guard so that the user tastes the flavored attachment when the user holds the mouthpiece in the user's mouth.
Abstract: An initiator system for actuating a wellbore setting tool for a plug or a packer. The initiator system includes a firing head that comprises a tubular body defining a bore, wherein the bore has an upstream chamber and a downstream chamber. A tubular bulkhead that resides within the bore of the firing head. The initiator system further includes a signal pin that has an elongated shaft residing within the tubular bulkhead. The initiator system also includes an ignition tube forming an ignition chamber between upstream and downstream ends. The upstream end of the ignition tube receives a second end of the tubular bulkhead. The initiator system further includes an ignitor that is in electrical communication with the signal pin. The initiator system also has an explosive component which resides within the ignition chamber at the downstream end, and is configured to initiate when the signal pin transmits an actuation signal to the igniter.
Abstract: A V2X event-message dictionary and a binning function are received from a cloud server. Sensor data is compared to events specified in the V2X event-message dictionary to identify a best-fit event for the sensor data. A number of bins and a bin number for the event are computed using the binning function. A V2X message is transmitted including the number of bins and the bin number, thereby avoiding including the sensor data in the V2X message.

Abstract: A system for providing a multi-modal control plane for device energy consumption and charging is disclosed. Abstract: A vehicle determines that a vehicle alarm system has been engaged and determines a local context applicable to the vehicle alarm system. The vehicle obtains an alarm system configuration mapping applicable in light of the local context. The vehicle changes sensitivity of one or more sensors associated with the alarm system based on the configuration mapping.

Abstract: A colour micro-LED display apparatus comprises an array of reflective optical elements and an array of micro-LED pixels with a uniform emission colour across the array arranged between the army of reflective optical elements and an output substrate. Light from the micro-LEDs is directed into the reflective optical elements and is incident on scattering regions in the apparatus. Colour converted scattered light is transmitted by the output substrate. A thin and efficient display apparatus may be provided with high spatial and angular colour uniformity and long lifetime.

Abstract: Implementations of the subject matter described herein provide a solution for rate control based on reinforcement learning. In this solution, an encoding state of a video encoder is determined, the encoding state being associated with encoding of a first video unit by the video encoder. An encoding parameter associated with rate control in the video encoder is determined by a reinforcement learning model and based on the encoding state of the video encoder. A second video unit different from the first video unit is encoded based on the encoding parameter. In this way, it is possible to achieve a better quality of experience (QOE) for real time communication with computation overhead being reduced.

The rendering device analyzes the graphical representation to determine characteristics of the graphical representation, characteristics of a display region of an application window in which the content is to be rendered, and a network address at which the actual content is located. The rendering device retrieves the content using the network address and renders the retrieved content over the display region of the application window in accordance with the characteristics determined for the graphical representation and the display region of the application window.
