Abstract: A method and apparatus for diffusing or reducing gas into a liquid is described. This invention covers several different methods for infusing or reducing gas into a liquid with a feedback loop that monitors specific parameters of the process and can vary controls to achieve a targeted value or keep within a range of values. The parameter of interest is the ORP (Oxidative Reduction Potential) and one way to determine that value is using an ORP sensor to directly measure it at various points in the process such as on the untreated incoming process fluid, right after infusing the reducing gas, or later in the process such as where the fluid is discharged back into the original tank in the case of a recirculating system or when it is discharged to the next phase of the treatment train.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are system, method, and computer program product embodiments for cleaning one or more sensors of a self-driving system (SDS). For example, the SDS is provided with a sensor with a lens that is formed with a convex outer surface. A nozzle is formed with an opening to provide a liquid in a stream at a fan angle relative to a spray axis. The nozzle is spaced apart from the sensor at a distance based on a radius of the lens and the fan angle and configured to spray the liquid with laminar flow onto a proximal end of the lens such that the liquid flows across the lens from the proximal end to a distal end of the lens to remove debris.

Abstract: Water purification may occur by introducing sufficient heat into a standing fluid wave produced by supplying impure water into a supersonic gas stream. At least partially purified water may be recovered in the form of steam and undergo condensation into liquid water thereafter. Such water purification methods may comprise: generating a supersonic gas stream by feeding a gas through a shockwave nozzle under conditions sufficient to achieve a supersonic velocity, supplying impure water into the supersonic gas stream to produce a standing fluid wave comprising atomized water droplets downstream from an exit end of the shockwave nozzle, introducing sufficient heat into the standing fluid wave to cause at least a portion of the atomized water droplets to phase change into steam, and obtaining the steam as an overhead stream separated from an effluent stream containing one or more contaminants.

Abstract: A shock absorber has a main piston and a compression piston, connected by a compression piston housing. In stage 1, the shock absorber operates as a conventional monotube, with the damping force being generated only by the main piston. In stage 2, the compression piston travels into the compression housing, as the shock absorber still operates as a monotube damper. In stage 3, the compression piston is now significantly increasing its compression damping force by supplementing the main piston. The oil volume in the compression piston housing passes through the compression piston, causing an increase in compression damping force.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides mounting plates having a mounting portion adjacent to a plurality of fastening regions and a flexing portion adjacent to a mounting feature. The fastening regions can be connected to a frame system. The mounting feature can be connected to an end of a pressurized tank. The end of the pressurized tank can move relative to the frame system and the mounting plate can flex such that the flexing portion moves out of the plane of the fastening region to accommodate the motion of the end of the pressurized tank. Connection to the end of the pressurized tank can be provided at a tank collar than can be bonded or threadably connected to the mounting plate via a connection mechanism. The connection mechanism can be an expandable plug or a sleeve that connects to the tank collar.
