Abstract: HIPAA-compliant computer security method and system for recording, using a video camera, electronic visual personal health information of at least two individuals, including an individual under care, and preventing unauthorized access of the user to the video information. The video is compared to physical attribute information of the individuals stored in the computer system's memory, and the individuals are identified by facial matching. The user's stored caseload has authorization profile information including access to individuals under care. The identified individuals are compared to the user's caseload information, and the user is granted access to part of the video of the individual under care, the video of the other individuals is blurred, and the resulting video is transmitted to the user's caseload for viewing. Data fields of an information request are populated using formatted data from the video information.

Abstract: A method, system and apparatus for anti-sorting particles is disclosed. In an example embodiment, particles move in a fluid along a microfluidic channel. A measurement device determines which particles are selected or desired particles by measuring a desired characteristic of the particles and outputting an associated signal. The energy source continuously imparts a force on unselected or undesired particles in a deflection region of the microfluidic channel to remove the unselected or undesired particles from the stream of particles. Based upon the signal outputted by the measurement device, the energy source is controlled to reduce or eliminate the force on selected particles such that the selected particles flow on a natural or expected flow path to a collection area such as an output channel. By avoiding application of force to desired particles, the anti-sorting systems and methods can improve viability and other characteristics of the desired particles.

Abstract: A network device is provided. The network device includes one or more memories and one or more processors coupled to the one or more memories. The one or more processors are configured receive a DL MU PPDU, decode a data frame including a media access control (MAC) header from the DL MU PPDU, determine whether an acknowledgement (ACK) policy indicated in the MAC header signals a trigger-based immediate acknowledgement policy, and determine whether a trigger indication for an uplink (UL) MU transmission has been obtained from a payload of a data frame. Responsive to the processor determines that the trigger indication has not been obtained, the processor is configured to not transmit an immediate acknowledgement to the access point. In response to the trigger indication has not been obtained but the station has obtained a transmission opportunity, the station returns an ACK/Block ACK frame in an unsolicited manner.
Abstract: Embodiments disclosed are directed to a computing system that performs steps for providing follow-the-leader tapping control signals to one or more tapping devices. The computing system captures an interaction between a first user device and a user of the first user device. The computing system then generates a tapping control signal configured to instruct a tapping device to interact with a second user device based on the captured interaction. Subsequently, the computing system transmits the tapping control signal to the tapping device.

Abstract: A decentralized communication device is provided that facilitates optimal positioning and orientation of one or more antennas for wireless communication with external devices. The decentralized communication device includes one or more master components and one or more slave components. The master and the slave components are physically separate and communicate wirelessly. In some embodiments the slave acts as a carrier frequency translator between the master and an external wireless device, where it communicates with the external device using a first frequency and communicates with the master using a second frequency which is different from the first frequency. In another embodiment the slave has most or all the physical layer to do the digital coding, digital modulation, data framing, data formatting and data packetization for communicating with an external device, in which case digital coding and digital modulation is distributed between the master and the slave.
Abstract: Mapping-aware coding tools for 360 degree videos adapt conventional video coding tools for 360 degree video data using parameters related to a spherical projection of the 360 degree video data. The mapping-aware coding tools perform motion vector mapping techniques, adaptive motion search pattern techniques, adaptive interpolation filter selection techniques, and adaptive block partitioning techniques. Motion vector mapping includes calculating a motion vector for a pixel of a current block by mapping the location of the pixel within a two-dimensional plane (e.g., video frame) onto a sphere and mapping a predicted location of the pixel on the sphere determined based on rotation parameters back onto the plane. Adaptive motion searching, adaptive interpolation filter selection, and adaptive block partitioning operate according to density distortion based on locations along the sphere.

Abstract: Some embodiments provide a hierarchical data service (HDS) that manages many resource clusters that are in a resource cluster hierarchy. In some embodiments, each resource cluster has its own cluster manager, and the cluster managers are in a cluster manager hierarchy that mimics the hierarchy of the resource clusters. In some embodiments, both the resource cluster hierarchy and the cluster manager hierarchy are tree structures, e.g., a directed acyclic graph (DAG) structure that has one root node with multiple other nodes in a hierarchy, with each other node having only one parent node and one or more possible child nodes.

Abstract: A method of optimizing a suspension system to avoid pitch resonance may include determining pitch characteristics of a vehicle for a terrain profile and speed range via a model associated with the vehicle, decoupling front and rear axles by removing pitch inertia from the model, and determining optimized damping for a main damper of a position sensitive damper over a linear range of wheel travel in a bounce control zone based on the pitch characteristics. The method may further include recoupling the front and rear axles by adding the pitch inertia back into the model, and selecting a secondary damper associated with a compression zone or a secondary damper associated with a rebound zone as a selected damper for adjustment based on which of the front and rear axles is limiting. The method may also include performing a damping adjustment to the selected damper and cyclically repeating selecting the secondary damper and performing the damping adjustment until pitch resonance is suppressed.
