Abstract: A driver assistance system in a host vehicle is provided. The driver assistance system is configured to: track a plurality of obstacles in front of the host vehicle; receive host vehicle driver selection of a follow operating mode for the driver assistance system via a human machine interface (HMI); identify a candidate lead vehicle from the plurality of tracked obstacles; provide, via the HMI, a line of sight view in front of the host vehicle that includes the candidate lead vehicle; receive host vehicle driver selection of the candidate lead vehicle as a lead vehicle to follow; adjust a desired trajectory calculated by the driver assistance system to obtain and maintain a desired headway between the lead vehicle and the host vehicle; and generate control signals for vehicle actuators to control the host vehicle to follow the desired trajectory to follow the lead vehicle.

Abstract: Apparatus and associated methods relate to a robotic catheter cradle having a receiving module configured to releasably receive a steerable sheath after a distal end of the steerable sheath has been manually introduced into a patient independent of the receiving module. In an illustrative example, a steering drive module may be operably coupled to the robotic catheter cradle to robotically operate at least one interface of the handle to selectively actuate at least one guidewire of the steerable sheath such that a distal end of the steerable sheath is controllably deflected. An axial drive module may, for example, be operably coupled to the robotic catheter cradle to robotically translate the steerable sheath. Various embodiments may advantageously enable a human operator to remove the steerable sheath into a manual mode that permits operation mechanically independent of the robotic catheter cradle without withdrawing the distal end from the patient.

Abstract: The disclosure is generally directed to systems and methods associated with communicating privacy rights pertaining to data captured from a vehicle. An example method executed by a processor of a data capture apparatus in a vehicle can include capturing an image. In an example scenario, the image may include an individual who is located outside the vehicle. Furthermore, in some cases, the image can be a part of a video clip containing multiple images. The method further includes generating an identifier for identifying the image(s). The identifier can be a machine-readable symbol such as, for example, a QR-code symbol or a barcode. A notification that includes the identifier may be generated and conveyed to the individual for use by the individual to exercise his/her rights to privacy with respect to the images in which he/she is present.

Abstract: Innovations in the area of prediction of block vector (“By”) values improve encoding or decoding of blocks using intra block copy (“BC”) prediction. For example, some of the innovations relate to use of a default BV predictor with a non-zero value. Other innovations relate to use of a selected one of multiple BV predictor candidates for a current block. Still other innovations relate to use of a skip mode in which a current intra-BC-predicted block uses a predicted BV value.

Abstract: Templated document stream integration of checklist data includes loading different checklist templates for a generic endpoint in a computing infrastructure, each containing partially filed data and each corresponding to a different security policy hardening the generic endpoint from a cyberthreat. Specific endpoints are then selected in the computing infrastructure and, for each corresponding specific endpoint, a set of checklists generated, each checklist in the set deriving from a different checklist template and including the partially filled data of one of the different checklist templates. Further, remediation data stored in a data store of an enterprise application is merged into each one of the generated checklists in the set. Finally, the enterprise application is updated with respect to the corresponding one of the selected specific endpoints with the different checklists merging the partially filled data and the remediation data.

Abstract: A method for determining a resampling filter for resampling a video signal used in scalable video coding includes estimating a set of row filters based on a video signal. The video signal has a base resolution that is resampled to provide an output signal that enables more efficient coding of the video signal with an enhanced resolution higher than a base resolution. The set of row filters is applied to the video signal to generate a first output signal having rows that are interpolated to the enhanced resolution. A set of column filters is estimated based on the first output signal for resampling the columns in the video signal. The set of column filters is applied to the first output signal to generate a second output signal having columns as well as rows that are interpolated to the enhanced resolution.

Abstract: During operation, the computer may obtain an access acceptance message, where the access acceptance message indicates that the electronic device has been authenticated and allowed to securely access a network, and where the authentication is based at least in part on a passphrase associated with a user of an electronic device. For example, the computer may receive the acceptance message from the computer network device or a second computer (such as a controller). Alternatively, the computer may obtain the access acceptance message while performing the authentication.
