Patent number: 11903165Abstract: A fluid distribution system is incorporated into a server chassis. Connector plates have fluid connectors designed to connect with fluid cooling receptacles on server boards. A linkage system can be manually manipulated to translate the connector plates so as to engage the electronics boards and connect the fluid connectors to the receptacle. A pair of main connectors connect to the rack's fluid manifold to circulate cooling fluid to cool devices mounted onto the server boards. A locking mechanism can be included to mechanically lock the chassis to the rack to prevent accidental dismount of the chassis from the rack. Also, an anchor mechanism may be provided to apply counter force when engaging the connector plates with the server boards so as to prevent accidental dismount of the server board by the moving connector plate.Type: GrantFiled: September 23, 2021Date of Patent: February 13, 2024Assignee: BAIDU USA LLCInventor: Tianyi Gao

Patent number: 11897133Abstract: Implementations utilize deep reinforcement learning to train a policy neural network that parameterizes a policy for determining a robotic action based on a current state. Some of those implementations collect experience data from multiple robots that operate simultaneously. Each robot generates instances of experience data during iterative performance of episodes that are each explorations of performing a task, and that are each guided based on the policy network and the current policy parameters for the policy network during the episode. The collected experience data is generated during the episodes and is used to train the policy network by iteratively updating policy parameters of the policy network based on a batch of collected experience data. Further, prior to performance of each of a plurality of episodes performed by the robots, the current updated policy parameters can be provided (or retrieved) for utilization in performance of the episode.Type: GrantFiled: August 1, 2022Date of Patent: February 13, 2024Assignee: GOOGLE LLCInventors: Sergey Levine, Ethan Holly, Shixiang Gu, Timothy Lillicrap

Patent number: 11902222Abstract: Implementations are directed to updating a trained voice bot that is deployed for conducting conversations on behalf of a third-party. A third-party developer can interact with a voice bot development system that enables the third-party developer to train, update, validate, and monitor performance of the trained voice bot. In various implementations, the trained voice bot can be updated by updating a corpus of training instances that was initially utilized to train the voice bot, and updating the trained voice bot based on the updated corpus. In some implementations, the corpus of training instances may be updated in response to identifying occurrence(s) of behavioral error(s) of the trained voice bot while the conversations are being conducted on behalf of the third-party. In additional or alternative implementations, the corpus of training instances may be updated in response to determining the trained voice bot does not include a desired behavior.Type: GrantFiled: February 8, 2021Date of Patent: February 13, 2024Assignee: GOOGLE LLCInventors: Asaf Aharoni, Eyal Segalis, Ofer Ron, Sasha Goldshtein, Tomer Amiaz, Razvan Mathias, Yaniv Leviathan

Patent number: 11902241Abstract: Examples of the present disclosure relate to hostname pre-localization. In examples, a service uses a content distribution network (CDN) to provide at least a part of the computing functionality associated with the service. A pre-localized hostname may be used to direct the client computing device to a specific edge server of the CDN that is associated with the computing functionality. In examples, a service receives an initiation request from a client computing device for the computing functionality provided by the CDN. The service generates a pre-localization request comprising pre-localization information and provides the pre-localization request to the CDN. Accordingly, the CDN generates a pre-localized hostname associated with an edge server based on the pre-localization information. The pre-localized hostname is provided to the service, which is then provided to the client computing device, thereby directing the client computing device to the specific edge server of the CDN.Type: GrantFiled: December 23, 2020Date of Patent: February 13, 2024Assignee: Level 3 Communications, LLCInventor: Kevin Johns

Patent number: 11897441Abstract: A method for controlling an activation state of a braking-torque assistance system for reducing intake of braking energy in a service-brake system of a vehicle includes capturing and evaluating a plurality of demand indications for a startup of the braking-torque assistance system. If the evaluation of the captured plurality of demand indications reveals a demand for the startup of the braking-torque assistance system, a plurality of operating conditions of the service-brake system are captures and evaluated over a monitoring period. If, in turn, the evaluation of the captured plurality of operating conditions reveals that an overheating of the service-brake system is imminent, the braking-torque assistance system is actuated and one or more deactivation conditions of the braking-torque assistance system are checked. Patent number: 11900415Abstract: A favorable merging or grouping of simply connected regions into which the array of information samples is sub-divided, is coded with a reduced amount of data. To this end, a predetermined relative locational relationship is defined enabling an identifying, for a predetermined simply connected region, of simply connected regions within the plurality of simply connected regions which have the predetermined relative locational relationship to the predetermined simply connected region. Namely, if the number is zero, a merge indicator for the predetermined simply connected region may be absent within the data stream. In other embodiments, spatial sub-division is performed depending on a first subset of syntax elements, followed by combining spatially neighboring simply connected regions depending on a second subset of syntax elements, to obtain an intermediate sub-division.Type: GrantFiled: September 14, 2020Date of Patent: February 13, 2024Assignee: GE Video Compression, LLCInventors: Philipp Helle, Simon Oudin, Martin Winken, Detlev Marpe, Thomas Wiegand
