Abstract: A microsensor and method of manufacture for a microsensor, comprising an array of filaments, wherein each filament of the array of filaments comprises a substrate and a conductive layer coupled to the substrate and configured to facilitate analyte detection. Each filament of the array of filaments can further comprise an insulating layer configured to isolate regions defined by the conductive layer for analyte detection, a sensing layer coupled to the conductive layer, configured to enable transduction of an ionic concentration to an electronic voltage, and a selective coating coupled to the sensing layer, configured to facilitate detection of specific target analytes/ions. The microsensor facilitates detection of at least one analyte present in a body fluid of a user interfacing with the microsensor.

Abstract: Automated methods and systems for identifying and resolving performance problems of objects of a data center are described. The automated methods and systems construct a model for identifying objects of the datacenter that are experiencing performance problems based on baseline distributions of events of the objects in a historical time period and event distributions of events of the objects in a time window located outside the historical time period. A root causes and recommendations database is constructed for resolving performance problems based on remedial measures previously performed for resolving performance problems. The model is used to monitor the objects of data center for runtime performance problems. When a performance problem with an object is detected, the root causes and recommendations database is used to identify a root cause of the performance problem and generate a recommendation for resolving the performance problem in near real time.
Abstract: A vehicle includes one or more cameras that capture a plurality of two-dimensional images of a three-dimensional object. A light detector and/or a semantic classifier search within those images for lights of the three-dimensional object. A vehicle signal detection module fuses information from the light detector and/or the semantic classifier to produce a semantic meaning for the lights. The vehicle can be controlled based on the semantic meaning. Further, the vehicle can include a depth sensor and an object projector. The object projector can determine regions of interest within the two-dimensional images, based on the depth sensor. The light detector and/or the semantic classifier can use these regions of interest to efficiently perform the search for the lights.

Abstract: This application relates to video encoding and decoding, and specifically to tools and techniques for using and providing supplemental enhancement information in bitstreams. Among other things, the detailed description presents innovations for bitstreams having supplemental enhancement information (SEI). In particular embodiments, the SEI message includes picture source data (e.g., data indicating whether the associated picture is a progressive scan picture or an interlaced scan picture and/or data indicating whether the associated picture is a duplicate picture). The SEI message can also express a confidence level of the encoder's relative confidence in the accuracy of this picture source data. A decoder can use the confidence level indication to determine whether the decoder should separately identify the picture as progressive or interlaced and/or a duplicate picture or honor the picture source scanning information in the SEI as it is.
Abstract: Disclosed herein includes a system, a method, and a device for processing and converting data using matrix operations. Circuitry can partition an input of a first data format across a plurality of lookup tables each residing in a respective memory. The circuitry can access weight information from a load store memory, and the partitioned input on a per column basis from the plurality of lookup tables. The circuitry can perform a number of multiply-accumulate (MAC) operations per cycle between the weight information from the load store memory and the partitioned input read on a per column basis from the plurality of lookup tables. The number of MAC operations performed per cycle can correspond to a total number of columns of the plurality of lookup tables. The circuitry can generate, responsive to the MAC operations on the partitioned input, a plurality of outputs in a second data format.
Abstract: An Agent supportable device for determining a direction of an item of interest. The Agent supportable device includes an antenna configured to communicate with the reference transceiver associated with the item of interest. A receiver in the Agent supportable device is in logical communication with the antenna. A transmitter is also in logical communication with the antenna. A digital storage contains software executable upon demand via a processor in logical communication with the digital storage. The processor is operative via execution of the software to cause the apparatus to display a user interface on a visual display that includes an arrow indicating a direction of the item of interest in relation to the apparatus and a distance between the apparatus and the item of interest.

Abstract: A method of placing a dental implant analog in a physical model for use in creating a dental prosthesis is provided. The physical model, which is usually based on an impression of the patient's mouth or a scan of the patient's mouth, is prepared. The model is scanned. A three-dimensional computer model of the physical model is created and is used to develop the location of the dental implant. A robot then modifies the physical model to create an opening for the implant analog. The robot then places the implant analog within the opening at the location dictated by the three-dimensional computer model.

Abstract: Presented herein is an interactive platform for judging an activity by a participant in an event. The platform includes a client application program downloadable to a mobile device. The program may include a database storing a mobile device identifier (ID), a user ID, user information, and location data of the device. The application may further be configured to display one or more events of the activity as well as an input for receiving a score of the activity from the user. The platform may additionally include a server system connected with the client application programs via a communication network. The server system may be configured for receiving the mobile device ID, the user ID, the user information, and the location data for the client program, and may further be configured to receive the scores from the users, and to adjust the scores according to determined bias of the associated user.

Abstract: An electronic device, a communication device, and a method enhance thermal energy spreading via thermal spreader layer(s) of a flexible layer assembly extending through a hinge coupling first and second device housings of a configurable housing assembly. The thermal spreader layer is positioned on a surface of a flexible circuit of the flexible layer assembly. The thermal spreader layer has one end thermally coupled to a first structure within the first device housing and another end thermally coupled to a second structure within the second device housing to transfer thermal energy between the first and the second structures. Abstract: An EMV enabled terminal may communicate transaction related information to a user via a standard user interface of the terminal, for example, within a user interface displayed on a display screen of the terminal. The transaction related information may be spoken out loud to the user by the terminal. However, users with visual, audio, or other physical impairments may be unable to access the display of the terminal, view the displayed information, or hear the spoken information. Systems and methods disclosed herein communicate transaction related information via an alternate user interface. Instead of relying on the standard user interface related communications, information about the status of a transaction or transaction related information may be determined based on monitoring and evaluating the communications between an EMV secure element of a dynamic transaction card and the terminal via a contact connection.
