  • Patent number: 11883075
Abstract: A correction clamp assembly that permits a physician to surgically correct a bunion or similar deformity is provided. The assembly includes an elongate bridge, as well as first and second blocks slidably or rotatably connected to the elongate bridge. More specifically, first block is configured to slide along a slot formed in the elongate bridge, as well as rotate relative thereto. Additionally, the second block is configured to rotate relative to the elongate bridge. First and second pins may be configured to extend through the first and second block, and then into various pieces of bone. Once a cut is made in a portion of joint or bone, the pins can thereafter be moved towards and away from one another to position the respective pieces of bone in a desired location. • Patent number: 11885460
Abstract: A system and method for securing a cable with decorative lights to an existing cable is disclosed. An outdoor lighting clip which comprises a curve and annular portion for securing two cables in proximity to each other. In use, the annular portion has a slot which may be secured over a first cable such that the clip hangs from the first cable. A second cable may then be hung on the curve of the clip, such that the first cable and second cable remain in proximity to each other. This allows the second cable to have lighting decorations hanging without sagging in the middle of cable and without the cable needing to be in tension between two anchor points. Many lighting decorations include a loop on their cable for hanging from hooks, and this clip is compatible with allowing the second cable to hang from the clip by the loop.

  • Patent number: 11885626
Abstract: An example method includes setting an initial pickup location. The method includes causing an autonomous vehicle to navigate towards the initial pickup location. The method includes periodically generating a plurality of candidate updated pickup locations. The method includes selecting a suggested pickup location from the plurality of candidate pickup locations that achieves a benchmark for reducing one or more of a time and a distance associated with the initial pickup location for one or more of the autonomous vehicle and the client device. The method includes determining that the suggested pickup location satisfies a set of pre-update checks for limiting a number of pickup location updates. The method includes responsive to (i) selecting the suggested pickup location, and (ii) determining that the suggested pickup location satisfies the set of pre-update checks, causing the autonomous vehicle to navigate to the suggested pickup location.

  • Patent number: 11889086
Abstract: An apparatus for video decoding includes processing circuitry. The circuitry can be configured to determine whether to apply the PROF to an affine coded block, and responsive to a determination to apply the PROF to the affine coded block, perform a PROF process. For example, during the PROF process, a prediction sample I(i,j) at a sample location (i,j) in the affine coded block can be generated. Spatial gradients g_x (i,j) and g_y (i,j) at the sample location (i,j) in the affine coded block can be generate. A prediction refinement ?I(i,j) based on the spatial gradients g_x (i,j) and g_y (i,j) can be generated. The prediction refinement ?I(i,j) can added to the prediction sample I(i,j) to generate a refined prediction sample. The PROF for affine prediction can be enabled according to a syntax element received at the decoder, or can be enabled by default.

  • Patent number: 11888956
Abstract: In examples, a requestor device requests data from a data platform. A response from the data platform may include a version identifier indicating a version of data used to process the request and a device identifier indicating the server device that processed the request. Accordingly, the requestor device may include the version identifier and device identifier in a subsequent request, such that the request is routed to the server device accordingly. In examples, the server device may evaluate the version identifier to determine whether the request is associated with a different version of the data, as may occur when the data of the server device has since been updated. Similarly, the requestor device may evaluate a version identifier from the data platform as compared to that of a previously received response to determine whether the response is associated with a different version of data than that of a previous response.

  • Patent number: 11884264
Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure provide for controlling an autonomous vehicle to enter a driveway. As an example, an instruction to pickup or drop off a passenger at a location may be received. It may be determined that the vehicle is arriving in a lane on an opposite side of a street as the location, the lane having a traffic direction opposite to a traffic direction of a lane adjacent to the location. A difficulty score to maneuver the vehicle to the lane adjacent to the location may be determined, and the difficulty score may be compared to a predetermined difficulty score. Based on the comparison, it may be determined to an available driveway on the same side of the street as the location. The vehicle may be controlled to enter the available driveway.
