  • Patent number: 11886607
Abstract: An apparatus, method and computer program product facilitate selective searching of at least a portion of a database. With respect to a method, a query is received that has a query context. In response to the query, the method reviews one or more data source tables including a first data source table that defines each of a plurality of data sources of data stored by the database. In reviewing the one or more data source tables, the method identifies one or more data sources that are accessible in response to the query. The method also searches the database for responsive data that: (i) was provided by the one or more data sources that were identified to be accessible in response to the query and (ii) is responsive to the query. Further, the method responds to the query with a representation of the responsive data.

  • Patent number: 11886482
Abstract: Implementations described herein relate to receiving user input directed to an automated assistant, processing the user input to determine whether data from a server and/or third-party application is needed to perform certain fulfillment of an assistant command included in the user input, and generating a prompt that requests a user consent to transmitting of a request to the server and/or the third-party application to obtain the data needed to perform the certain fulfillment. In implementations where the user consents, the data can be obtained and utilized to perform the certain fulfillment. In implementations where the user does not consent, client data can be generated locally at a client device and utilized to perform alternate fulfillment of the assistant command. In various implementations, the request transmitted to the server and/or third-party application can be modified based on ambient noise captured when the user input is received.

  • Patent number: 11887456
Abstract: A method is provided for a parent to determine a geo location of a child and the child may defer the release of their location by providing an affirmative response to the parent, the parent and child each having a network accessible device and the child's device being GPS enabled. The method utilizes a server based application in which the parent may request a response from the child. The application starts a countdown timer and the child must respond to the parent before the timer expires. If the timer expires and the child has not responded, the application attempts to determine the geo location of the child's device and forward any determined location to the parent's device. The method provides a parent peace of mind that they might locate their child in an emergency while providing the child a level of autonomy without feeling that they are constantly being watched.

  • Patent number: 11888822
Abstract: Secure communications can be established in which a request is received from a client computing device to instantiate a virtual key store (VKS) node. In response to the request, a cryptographically calculated uniform resource locator (URL) is generated. In addition, a crytopgraphic identity certificate is received from a certification authority server. Subsequently, a virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) instance is instantiated and configured with the cryptographic identity certificate. Communications are then established between the client computing device and the VDI instance using the generated cryptographically calculated URL such that the VDI instance acts as a cryptographic proxy with at least one remote computing device.

  • Patent number: 11885681
Abstract: A compact, portable Raman spectrometer makes fast, sensitive standoff measurements at little to no risk of eye injury or igniting the materials being probed. This spectrometer uses differential Raman spectroscopy and ambient light measurements to measure point-and-shoot Raman signatures of dark or highly fluorescent materials at distances of 1 cm to 10 m or more. It scans the Raman pump beam(s) across the sample to reduce the risk of unduly heating or igniting the sample. Beam scanning also transforms the spectrometer into an instrument with a lower effective safety classification, reducing the risk of eye injury. The spectrometer's long standoff range automatic focusing make it easier to identify chemicals through clear and translucent obstacles, such as flow tubes, windows, and containers. And the spectrometer's components are light and small enough to be packaged in a handheld housing or housing suitable for a small robot to carry.
