Abstract: A substrate includes a ceramic tile and a three-dimensional (3D) conductive structure. The 3D conductive structure includes a planar base layer having a bottom surface bonded to a top surface of the ceramic tile, and a block disposed above the planar base layer. The block is monolithically integrated with the planar base layer. A top surface of the block is configured as a die attach pad. The planar base layer has a base vertical thickness from the top surface of the ceramic tile to a top surface of the planar base layer. The block and the planar base layer have a combined vertical thickness from the top surface of the ceramic tile to a top surface of the block that is greater than the base vertical thickness.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides an electrode assembly for use in an electrochemical cell that cycles lithium ions. The electrode assembly includes a current collector, an electroactive material layer disposed parallel with the current collector, and a protective coating disposed between the current collector and the electroactive material layer. The electroactive material layer is defined by a plurality of electroactive material particles. At least a portion of the electroactive material particles of the plurality of electroactive material particles includes a protective particle coating. The protective particle coating is a carbon coating that includes a first carbonaceous material. The protective coating is a carbon layer that includes a second carbonaceous material.

Abstract: Advanced computing applications have evolved to include servers submersed in dielectric oils to provide efficient cooling. Transceiver-fiber optic cable interface assemblies that support data communications may not be sealed adequately to be submersed, and require sealing before they can be used in such applications. A mold may be three dimensionally (3D) printed or additively manufactured (AM) and used to form a sealing material around the assembly to provide such protection.

Cross device application discovery and/or control can provide for simple detection and activation of applications on remote devices. Cross device application discovery and/or control can provide for the control of remote applications in a master and slave configuration. Responsive to an activation message, an application can execute a task in an application, the task being displayed on a target device. Responsive to an activation message, an application can execute a task in an application on a target device, a task context data for the task being streamed to the source device for presentation on a display. Cross device application discovery and/or control can be enabled on a single operating system, or across a plurality of operating systems.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to systems and methods for transmitting Standard Dynamic Range (SDR) content. The systems and methods may use a modified Electro-Optical Transfer Function (EOTF) curve to convert nonlinear color values of SDR content into optical output values of modified SDR content. The systems and methods may encode the modified SDR content using eight bits while preventing banding. The systems and methods may transmit the encoded data to a client device for presentation on a display.

Abstract: A pet travel door that may include a pet travel door frame, a seal, a flap, and one or more of a security panel. The pet travel door may be installable in a surface and may allow for selectable passage of animals. The pet travel door frame may have an interior perimeter. The seal may be connected to a portion of the inner perimeter of the pet travel door frame. The flap may be pivotally connected to an upper portion of the interior perimeter of the pet travel door frame. The one or more security panels may be attachable to the pet travel door frame and may be selectively moveable between a closed position and an opened position.

Abstract: An electrode assembly for an electrochemical cell that cycles lithium ions is provided. The electrode assembly includes one or more electroactive material layers including a plurality of electroactive material particles and a plurality of binder material fibers dispersed with the electroactive material particles. At least one electroactive material particle of the plurality may have a first protective layer coated thereon, and at least one binder material fiber of the plurality may have a second protective layer coated thereon. The first and second protective layers may be the same or different. The binder material fibers can include polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE).

Abstract: A compact structure for snapshot hyperspectral imaging may include an image slicer, an integral field unit, an integral field spectrograph, and multiplexed integral field spectrograph. The image slicer includes a first section having a first plurality of mirrors, each mirror of the first plurality of mirrors having a predetermined tilt in a longitudinal direction, a second section having a second plurality of mirrors, each mirror of the second plurality of mirrors having a predetermined tilt in the longitudinal direction, and a ridge extending laterally between the first section and the second, the first section being at a first angle relative to the ridge and the second section being at a second angle opposite to the first angle relative to the ridge. The integral field unit source includes a four mirror design including an image slicer. The integral field spectrograph includes an array of spectrographs and an image slicer.

Abstract: A UV port disinfection system and method is disclosed. The UV port disinfection system can include a UV light source, a UV arm, and a UV arm pivoting axis, wherein the UV light source is connected to the UV arm, and wherein the UV arm is located on the UV arm pivoting axis and is rotatable on the axis to allow the UV arm to extend to one or more fluid input ports. Further, when the arm is over said fluid input port, said UV light source activates and emits UV light which disinfects said port. In a further embodiment, the UV port disinfection system can include a controller. A method for UV port disinfection is also disclosed.

Abstract: Disclosed is a framework that is configured for securely executing sports handicapping, betting, and money-management. The disclosed systems and methods provide computerized methodologies and mechanisms for offsetting the varying abilities or characteristics of participants in a sporting event in order to equalize or leverage chances of winning the bet/wager. In some embodiments, the framework can be implemented to effectuate secure management and/or control of electronic assets used for a wager. The framework can securely monitor assets and asset values of a user's account and, based on the applied handicapping and the outcome of the sporting event, can effectuate an electronic transfer of assets in relation to the user's account (e.g., add assets and/or deduct assets).

Abstract: The apparatus includes processing circuitry that receive a bitstream including a picture. The processing circuitry applies one or more first fixed filters with constant filter coefficients to samples in the picture to obtain one or more respective first filtered outputs of the samples in the picture. Subsequent to applying the one or more first fixed filters, the processing circuitry applies one or more second adaptive filters with changeable coefficients to the one or more first filtered outputs to obtain a second filtered sample of a current sample in the samples and decodes the picture based at least on the second filtered sample of the current sample in the picture. Each coefficient of the second adaptive filter can be applied to a corresponding one of the one or more first filtered outputs.

Abstract: A method may include performing, with a second base station, by a wireless device while not in a radio resource control (RRC) connected state, a small data transmission (SDT) procedure using a radio resource. The method may also include transmitting, by the wireless device, a report indicating that the wireless device performed the SDT procedure and indicating the radio resource used during the SDT procedure. The transmitting the report can be to the second base station via a third base station.

Abstract: The present disclosure describes systems and methods for dynamic synchronization of media streams from remote users. A latency matrix between all participants is generated and participants within acceptable synchronization windows are grouped together. Earlier media streams are buffered and started in synchronization with later streams locally at each client device. To provide an improved experience for earlier or lower-latency clients, additional media streams may be generated (e.g. synthesized, played back from recordings, or dynamically generated based on locally input media). Accordingly, each user is provided with a collaborative experience in substantial synchronization.

Abstract: Systems and techniques are provided for determination of user presence and absence using WiFi connections. Reports may be received from WiFi access points in an environment. The reports may include an identifier of a WiFi device, an indication of a connection to or disconnection from a WiFi access point, a time of the connection or disconnection, and an identifier of the WiFi access point. A connection sequence for the WiFi device may be generated from the reports. Whether the WiFi device is present in or absent from the environment as of a specified time may be determined based on the connection sequence. An indication of presence for a user associated with the WiFi device may generated if the WiFi device is present in the environment. An indication of absence for the user associated with the WiFi device may be generated if the WiFi device is absent from the environment.

Abstract: System, process and device configurations are provided for customized generation of gaming music. A method includes detecting at least one user interaction with a gaming system directed to generated music, and updating a parameter for music generation based on the at least one user interaction. The method also includes generating gaming music based on the parameter and a game state dynamically. Musical interactions with the gaming system may be collected during gameplay to train and retrain a dynamic music generator. Retraining may be performed for dynamic music generation interfering with output of sound effects of the electronic game. Inputs may be provided by sensors of the gaming system to detect interactions and control of dynamic music during gameplay. Inputs may include detecting presence of viewers and user environment to modify at least one output characteristic of dynamically generated music.

Abstract: A vehicle deceleration notification system includes a deceleration sensor installed in a vehicle. The deceleration sensor measures a magnitude of vehicle deceleration. The vehicle deceleration notification system further includes a vehicle display unit installed at a rear end of the vehicle. The vehicle display unit is a linearly oriented and double mirrored display unit having a plurality of light sources. The vehicle deceleration notification system further includes a processor that obtains the magnitude of vehicle deceleration from the deceleration sensor and determines a preset deceleration range, of a plurality of preset deceleration ranges, associated with the magnitude of vehicle deceleration. The processor further selects a display mode of the vehicle display unit based on the determination of the associated preset deceleration range and actuates the selected display mode of the vehicle display unit.
